I can't believe I'm just now getting around to writing this review because this place absolutely deserves it. Mediterranean Express in Roswell offers a really fun combination of Mediterranean favorites and Indian classics, so the menu has something for just about everyone. If you're looking to try something a little different from your typical Mediterranean restaurant, this is definitely a place worth visiting. On this visit, my wife and I ordered the vegetable samosas, samosa chaat, butter chicken flatbread, butter chicken with rice, vegetable korma with rice, cheesy naan, and garlic naan. Every dish came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and paired perfectly with the fluffy basmati rice. The vegetable korma was comforting, full of vegetables, and had a wonderful creamy sauce. The butter chicken flatbread was a fun twist that worked surprisingly well, combining Indian flavors with a crispy flatbread. The samosa chaat was another standout, layering crispy samosas with chickpeas, yogurt, chutneys, and fresh toppings for a dish full of different textures and flavors. Don't skip the naan! Both were excellent, but the cheesy naan completely stole the show for me. It was soft, cheesy, buttery, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cared that we enjoyed our meal. Before we left, the owner brought me a complimentary Mango Lassi just so I could try it because he was proud of it. That kind of hospitality is something you don't see every day. The Mango Lassi was smooth, creamy, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be ordering one the next time I visit. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of seating indoors along with a nice outdoor patio if you'd rather enjoy the weather. Parking is also easy since it's located in a shopping center with plenty of spaces available. This is one of those restaurants I'll happily drive back to. Great food, excellent service, generous hospitality, and a menu that's fun to explore. If you enjoy Mediterranean food, Indian food, or both, I highly recommend giving Mediterranean Express a try. New ownership... EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!!! It's turned into an average Indian restaurant. The food has gone down!!! My favorite was the rice pudding!!! When I looked at it it looked filled with actual rice instead of the way the previous owner made it! When I asked the server said "we put more rice in there.. it's the same cook" NO WAY!!!!!! The baba ghanoush was not strained off the seeds and was a darker constancy.... It tasted very bland!!! Won't be returning!!! I HATE WHEN THINGS CHANGE.. FOR THE WORSE!!!! read more

Good ambiance with relaxing soft music. Friendly customer service with good communication skills. Food was very good and now they have Indian food options my favorite was lamb chops. Not too spicy and authentic. We also had catering from them. It was well managed by Owner it self. I'll highly recommend MEDITERRANEAN EXPRESS . We will visit again. read more

Amazing Flavors and world class service! While in Marietta, I decided to grab food and Yelp lead me here after a Mediterranean food search and I wasn't disappointed. Being vegetarian I naturally ordered the falafel wrap and potatoes. The potatoes were season to perfection, the wrap was good as well, however, I am a texture person and wasnt to fond of the texture inside the falafels but they did have that crunch on the outside, I've become use to the gritty texture and these were very soft, almost mushy, but they had amazing flavor. The person that took my order was extremely kind and spoke of his SUPERSTAR bread pudding. I almost purchased some but I just ate bread on that wrap. Lol The prices are good and the place was extremely clean. I would definitely recommend this place for large groups, they also have outside seating. 10/10 read more

So disappointing- No idea ownership changed! Was on my way home & wanted to treat myself to my regular falafel wrap that I have been eating for years. It is fresh and much of it is made from scratch. The staff is very friendly and proud of the food they serve. It's difficult to go there for lunch. They are very slow. They cook to order on a tandoor grill. Most Mediterranean places have a rotisserie spit that constantly slow cooks meat and when you order they just slice it off and assemble. Being cooked from a completely raw state means it's a 20-25 minute wait from whenever the kitchen can get to your order. Using the tandoori grill gave a nice char to the meat without drying it out. It was a great way to cook it. The salad was also fantastic and well made. I did however have an issue. I didn't check my order before I left and when I got home they forgot the taziki sauce. I also don't know if the gyro supposed to come with more and they forgot but there was nothing more than a pita and meat. No tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, etc. So I had a pita and lamb meat. What I got wasn't bad but I'm just used to more. The rice was fantastic though. Some of the best I've had. I'd definitely come back but I feel there is room for improvement and that will keep it from being a regular spot for me. Unfortunately, the original owners sold this place. New owners but same name and higher prices. They expanded the menu to include burgers, chicken wings, spaghetti...can one small place do all those things well? Trying to make it a sit down place as well instead of ordering at counter, and they don't have the ambience for that. Our food took a long time to be ready with only 1 other table occupied. My biggest disappointment was the $14 med salad that came in small salad bowl, should have been half that price. They did give us a complementary appetizer, their Chicken 65 which was a nice touch. This place, simply put - is EXCELLENT. The owner is very nice. Food is well seasoned, perfectly tender, and exceptionally tasty. The name may say Mediterranean - but it's a nice mix of Mediterranean and Pakistani flavors. The Naan is fantastic. The Hummus is incredible. The Lamb Chops are superbly juicy. The Beef and Chicken Kebabs are killer. Glad to have an tasty and diverse choice, right near home. I was pleasantly and overwhelmingly impressed during my first visit to Mediterranean Express in December 2023, my only gripe being the blandness of tzatziki sauce. I became significantly less overwhelmed on my recent visit. Their tried and true falafel was still hearty and very enjoyable, despite appearing to be recooked frozen patties. The falafel balls seem too uniformly machined to be homemade. The appropriately spiced Greek potato wedges, unlike the first time I ordered them, were undercooked. Portions of the potatoes were so hard they remained on my plate, deemed as inedible. The pita bread was consistently on par, once again. Another drastic disappointment was the Mediterranean salad. For a whopping $10 price tag, the customer receives a tablespoon of dry, crumbled feta cheese, several small Kalamata olives, purple onion shreds and stale lettuce. The salad was a travesty. We made the mistake of including a gratuity priority to our food being prepared. A few dollars tip couldn't even get the restaurant's attendant to bring our tray a short distance to our outside patio table. I had to carry our food out myself. It also appeared that the small cups of tap water were dispensed from a thermos jug, not from a tap. I do not know if the Mediterranean Express is under new ownership and/or management, but something has changed, and not for the better. read more

Hands down, best gyro meat we've had since Houston, Texas three years ago and we love Mediterranean food! Service is fantastic (so friendly), saffron rice is fantastic, salad is fresh and the dressing was yummy, portions are BIG; we had leftovers after our little family of 3 was done eating. Wow! Mediterranean Express ATL is a must try restaurant! The owner was so friendly & let us know that everything on the menu was made to order in house! We tried the 3 Skewer plate (2 Chicken + 1 Beef) and hummus with homemade naan bread that was the size of my head. The skewers were so juicy & flavorful. The rice was also very fluffy & aromatic. Don't forget to try their hommade tzatziki, cilantro & spicy sauce. We ate the baklava once we got home & it was lightly sweet and the perfect dessert following an amazing meal. This place is a diamond in the rough. I can't recommend it enough. Mediterranean Express has the ambiance of the Subway it took the place of, but the service and (oh lord) the FOOD is five stars. It's an amazing place for when I want some great food, but just don't have the time to make myself presentable for a proper fine dining experience. Please, just try it, you won't be sorry. You can tell the business owner focuses on quality of food and he took the time to explain where is food comes from and how they prepare it--which makes a world of a difference. Amazing spot. What a great addition to east Cobb! Staff was super friendly. And the food was amazing. Best bang for your Buck will be the mix platter, where you choose two kababs. I got the beef sheesh and the chicken souvlaki. I can't say which was better because both were flavorful and tender, super juicy. It's rare to have chicken kababs that juicy but they really were perfect. The staff gave us all kinds of sauces, which were really appreciated. Can't wait to go back. read more
