    Garlic Pepper tofu

No notes! I've been eyeing this place after seeing the good reviews but I'm not in the area often. I was ravenous after working out last night and came in for some dinner. I had the garlic pepper tofu with steamed veggies and rice and it was perfect. I ordered medium and it was just the right spice level for me. The garlic flavor comes through strong so the heat balanced the sauce nicely. Everything was cooked perfectly (I hate soggy vegetables). Even the presentation was on point with the banana leaf underneath and sprinkling on top. Service was great. Very attentive to keeping waters full and making sure I was enjoying my meal. I will definitely be back when I'm in out that way.

Tried this place for the first time last night, and I was very impressed! Ordered Tom Yum soup which was delicious. Also order the garlic pepper tofu because the picture in the menu looked amazing. I am taking off one star because the dish did not look exactly like the picture in the menu, I was expecting something that looked packed with flavor, but the tofu looked just like regular fried tofu that may have been fried in some sort of sauce. I was hoping for a little bit more flavor. However, the coconut cake was absolutely delicious. Prices are a bit expensive but overall I still enjoyed the experience

A new place for us after a piano recital. I would say they are truly authentic. I got a pot and they started the fire right at my table. They had a nice kids meal but just as expensive as an adults meal but it was steak. The curry was really delightful. The service was very responsive. I will definitely come back. Next time I will save room for dessert and try the mango sticky rice.

Wow this has been probably the best Thai food I have ever ate! We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and was surprised it wasn't as crowded but noticed a lot of takeout orders. For starters we decided to get 2 Tom Kha soup with chicken and split it among the 4 of us and an order of the cream cheese Rangoon. The soup and Rangoon's arrived within 5 minutes along with the sauces. I really liked the soup and one order of soup can easily be shared with 2 people. There was a good bit of chicken and had a nice kick to it since it was medium spicy. The rangoons were good too but on the smaller side and served with a chili sweet sauce. For our mains we went with the Masaman curry with chicken, basil fried rice with chicken and pad Thai with chicken. I really liked the masaman curry since it tasted so unique and was absolutely delicious but not too heavy! They initially brought out basil chicken instead of basil fried rice but after pointing it out, they went back and exchanged it and brought the rice out 5min later. The basil fried rice was delicious but next time I'll ask for it to be a bit spicier since it seemed mild. The pad Thai was okay but I do like that it came with strips of tofu and chicken! Adding the chili flakes on the top was a nice touch to add more spice. Overall, it was so worth the drive to go there and if I'm in the area, I'd love to come back!

Great food, we eat from here at least once a week. Favorites are panang & kao soi tofu. Kao soi chicken is also good. Drunken noodle is delicious.

Trying Wimal Authentic Thai Food for the first time. Dining room is still full at 1:30pm! Good, but expensive considering the portion size. Dinner sized prices for lunch sized meals. Very casual bur comfortable dining room though just a small place in a Kroger strip center. Fast, friendly service but would not be my first choice for Asian/Thai food. Good taste but small portions for the price. For example, Seafood Tom Yum hotpot was $28 but the waitress said you'd better order rice as the hotpot won't be enough to fill you up.

It's always good to have authentic Thai food locally without having to travel downtown and fighting traffic. My favorite dish was the beef rib broth. So much flavor! For dessert you must try the mango with sticky rice. Just fyi. Serving sizes are just right so if you plan on eating "family style/sharing", you will need to order more.

Highly impressed with the quality and taste of food here. He was a bit of a drive from East Atlanta but worth the travel time. We ordered 6 different dishes and couldn't tell you a bad item of the menu. The service was quick and friendly and our beverages were always filled which was good because some of the dishes have a lingering spice which is nice. For a restaurant in a strip mall the ambiance is actually pretty nice. It's clean and well laid out. 100% recommend.

This is the best Thai food I've had in Georgia. Sandy Plains crowd, stop what you're doing and place an order! I'm no chef, but the curry has multiple flavor layers. The spice mix is wonderful. As a soy-free vegan, I was grateful to learn they use canola oil and had lots of options for me. The egg rolls (has soy for those w/ allergies) aren't too greasy and have a great sweet and spicy pineapple sauce. The wrapper is crisp and flaky (in a delicious sense) from what I saw and heard. I don't typically love doughs, but the vegan curry puffs were a punch of curry flavor. Once of my favorite flavors wrapped in light, crispy pastry-type dough. They are known for their Massaman curry but you can't go wrong with any of the curries. They also have a fun twist on their mango sticky rice with blue rice. I haven't tried all their rices, but they offer ginger rice, sticky rice, and more. The location is a cute little spot and the decor reminds me of a Chop't, Parlour Donuts, or Hey Day-type styling. It is modern and clean. It doesn't have tons of tables, but we didn't have issues finding one. A huge shoutout to the staff and chef. This is our new favorite.

I went to Wimal a few weeks ago with family and had a great time. I started off with cream cheese rangoons as the appetizer, and it was really tasty! For the entree, I tried the chicken pad thai and the massaman curry. The chicken pad thai had decent flavor however the noodles were a bit overcooked and there was a strong fish sauce which I didn't enjoy too much. However, the massaman curry was perfect! It had a great blend of flavor, and I really liked it!

Today my wife and I were intentionally seeking out something spectacular. I found Soi 3 Thai Street Food here on Yelp (as one should do) and I felt good about what I saw, from the menu, to the pics, to the reviews. My god I'm glad we turned off of the main drag and came here. We were greeted and seated right away. We came a little early and it was not too busy. Service wise, our experience started off REALLY well. Our server was Tarik. This place better hang on to this guy. When I say it was the best service in 5 years in any restaurant I've eaten in lately, I am not exaggerating. We let him know that this was our first time in and asked for recommendations. He went through each of the sections with us and highlighted a few. He really knows the menu and that's increasingly rare these days in most restaurants. I landed on the Gai Yang Chicken which was a quarter chicken with both white and dark meat. This had the smokiest, garlicky flavor that I will dream about. It came with lettuce wraps, carrot sticks and the most amazing Nam Jim Jeaw sauce which was unreal. Fish sauce and fresh herbs and scallions. How could you go wrong? Tangy, herbaceous, a little sweet and salty. Pro move suggested by Tarik: Make lettuce wraps with what you get and dip it in the sauce. My wife had the Gaeng Massaman Gai. Hands down some of the best Massaman curry I have ever had anywhere. It was more brothy (is that a word?) than I've had, but a lot of times when you order this dish, the potatoes make it super thick. This was lighter with fresh potatoes and pearl onions that were sweet from the sauce, almost like grapes oddly enough. Really loved the textures of this dish. We had purple Jasmine rice which was excellent. The only slightly disappointing dish we had was our dumpling appetizer. Not a lot of flavor there and I would have loved a little heat in the sauce or the dumplings. Really not bad but I would have skipped that. The restaurant had a very nice vibe. The lighting was perfect for pics and ambience. Looked like it had a well stocked bar and many selections from wine to beer and cocktails. I absolutely loved this place and our experience and service was 10 stars! Will definitely ask for Tarik each time and we will be back. Run to this restaurant!

I really don't know what happened here …read more.. Against our better judgement, a friend and I chose this place as a back-up option since our first choice was closing for lunch orders. Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw the limited menu and some of the options (I LOVE Thai food and have had variations in many parts of the world). BUT I was encouraged to know there were at least two vegan entree options on the menu. No. Never again. Not at all. The spring rolls were the most minuscule versions I've ever had. The casing was weird, to say the least, and the flavor was barely there. We ordered a broccoli entree to share. Check out the photos for yourself. WHERE IS THE BROCCOLI?!? My friend's meal was BLAND. My meal was better but the peppers were almost raw. The BEST thing we had was the roti. ROTI. At a Thai restaurant. The absolute best thing on the menu was roti?! No meatless curry options with ample veggies. Not one rice dish, served with veggies. Lots of chicken ‍. Lots of fish oil ‍. Roti was the best thing we ate. And don't even bother with the purple rice. Absolutely disappointed. The server was kind although our 2nd order of roti went to the wrong table - they gladly accepted it with no questions asked - because she was conducting what looked like an interview in between checking on our table. If you've read my reviews you know anything less than 4-5 stars is RARE. I honestly don't understand what happened during my experience at this restaurant but definitely will not be returning.

You know the type -- pretty basic, nothing above average, real safe and generic. That's usually why I end up sticking to my regular Thai spot when I'm out of town, but I figured I'd give Tubtim Siam a try before my trip wrapped up. I actually saw the place a couple days earlier but they close kinda early, so I missed it the first time. Luckily I was able to catch them right in time this night, and let me tell you -- they did not disappoint at all. It sits in one of those strip mall locations that looks a little sketchy from the outside, but once you're in, it feels safe enough. The actual restaurant is real modest -- nothing too fancy, just a chill vibe with a couple families and other people sitting in eating and enjoying their meals while we placed our order. I went with takeout: chicken fried rice and some chicken wings to take back to the room. Baby, when that fried rice came out... the portion was huge, like they weren't playing around at all. And the flavor? Whew -- it was immaculate. Not only the best Thai fried rice in this city, but easily one of the best I've had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned, loaded with all the right stuff, and it actually tasted like real homemade Thai food. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with good flavor too. For the price, both items gave way more than what I was expecting. Everything was on point. This spot really came through and saved my whole week of eating out. No cap -- I'm giving them a solid 5 stars. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely making my way back to Tubtim Siam again.

The spring rolls were great, and the cheese rolls were also fantastic. I will say I'm going to have to remove one star for price (could have been less, especially as there were really no frills) and the tip was added in (I almost tipped twice). Also, for the cheese rolls they could have added one more (there were three, four would have been a perfect number).
