Truly one of my favorite places to eat! This is a wonderful family-owned restaurant, and you can really taste the authenticity and love they put into their food. This no frills restaurant is good for takeout. I ordered the gyro plate for dine in. The food was served in a styrofoam box -- the fact that no one was sitting and eating should have been a clear indicator that although designed for, it is not a dine in restaurant. The food itself was ok. The gyro was dry but not terrible. The salad was nice and crispy but had no dressing (and none was provided on the side). The Greek potatoes that was included in the plate was ok. Some of the wedges were soggy and some nice and crispy. My friend ordered the gyro wrap and I ordered the gyro platter with rice instead of Greek potatos. My friend allowed to take a bite of their wrap and it was a wrap! I did not give it back and we ended up switching meals. Yall...that wrap was so good! The meat was plentiful, there was lettuce and tomato's, and it does come with the tzatziki sauce but I didn't need it. The lady that took my order was nice. I got a gyro from them and it was big and delicious. I got the potatoes as a side and they tasted good in the air fryer the day after so five stars for the meal. I had them years ago and I decided to try them again the other day and they just never disappoint. I forgot about them honestly the food tasted fresh made to order. Meal also came with a drink so i got a whole meal for a really good price. Y'all got me so I'm gonna start coming back. If you're ever in the Snellville Highway 78 area definitely stop by. In a small strip mall of stores is Mr. Gyro: straight forward Greek takeout. Upon entering I was greeted by the young lady at the counter and reviewed the menu. The restaurant was very clean and the display of cakes/desserts looked delicious, maybe on a cheat day. I opted for the Gyro platter, with a green salad and the Greek potatoes as suggested by the young lady. It was pretty busy with takeout orders so my food took a good 10 minutes but it was worth it. Huge portion (enough for two) and piping hot. The salad was fresh, the gyro was seasoned well and juicy and this potato situation DELICIOUS. We happened to pass by Mr. Gyro 9 of Hwy 78 and Bethany Church Road and gave it a try. I am impressed by the Gyro which is loaded with meat. I haven't had a Gyro filled with meat since we were actually in Greece. This is a fast food place, but there are plenty of tables and chairs. There is a TV playing Greek movie to give you that authentic Grecian place. The service is fast, courteous and very friendly staffs. I'll be definitely be trying this place again read more

I've been missing my fave Greek restaurant in Vinings. Ever since I've been WFH cause of COVID19, I have been craving falafels. The thing is I realized that for falafels, I prefer Greek style. Other styles either have to much cumin, cardamom, or parsley. Plus when I want wrap, they don't use lita wrap up just a regular flour wrap. Something about that thick pita bread I like. Since I was in the area, I noticed that Mr Gyro was near City Farmers Market in Snellville. I took that opportunity to make sure to get my Greek falafel on. No dine in. Take out only. I ordered falafel wrap combo, including fries and bottle water at the corner. 10 mins or so, my order was ready. I opened it in the car, took a bite and couldn't stop eating. OMG, so many falafels! The sauce completed it well. It was so tasty. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. It was just $10 for all that. I was so satisfied. I made a mess eating the rest in the car on the way home. Mr. Gyro was amazing! My husband and I wanted some European food and I randomly stumbled on this place. The young lady who took our order was very sweet and patient with it being our first time here. The food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot. We both ordered the gyro with tomato's, peppers, and onions. The meat was so tender yet crispy and had good flavor. The bread was also fresh and flakey. The greek potatoes also tasted good, but the gyro fills you up pretty good so I recommend sharing a portion if you're with someone. Wow, great place for a huge meal! I was feeling a gyro for lunch, and this joint was down the road, so... yeah. The gyro platter was enormous and for only $11 as well. You get more meat than you probably need, at least two whole potatoes worth of a side, and a huge salad that could almost count for a meal itself. Oh, and a pita, warm and fresh. The food was good, but the meat was a bit dry. It was likely due to my timing (after the lunch rush), so some of the outer pieces were starting to firm up a bit. Still, there were enough of the softer interior pieces that it balanced out pretty nicely. The food tasted very fresh and flavorful, so no complaints there either. I would probably go for the extra sauce in the future, but with the salad dressing and feta, it really wasn't necessary. I will say it's not a fast-FAST meal, but it was worth the wait. I would just suggest planning a few extra minutes for the meal to be ready. Not a complaint, just a heads up. The dining room was very clean, but the entertainment consisted of Friends playing on Netflix on a continual loop (through the seasons, not the same episode). Maybe I'm an oddity for this, but I never really got into that show. So, it was kind of painful to sit through. But, honestly, hardly worth griping about. I thought it was clever to leave the feed to streaming media. I wouldn't be surprised to see more places doing this in the future. Great food, good service, and a very full me. First timer! Heard so many rave reviews about this place. Very nice and spacious. I ordered Greek Salad, potatoes, and 12 wings. They give you more than enough for the money. They're closed on Monday's until further notice. The wait was approximately 20 min considering there were 2 other customers ahead of me. Greek Salad is my favorite....It was well proportioned with all ingredients. I was hesitant on the "special sauce" but I'm glad I chose it over the vinegarette, however, it made the lettuce soggy. The next time I'll have the dressing on the side . From what I'm told and according to all the photos online, the dressing is served on the salad. If you're not a fan of soggy lettuce, ask for the dressing on the side. The wings were small the way I like them and lightly sauced. Potatoes were lightly seasoned - tasty. Delicious!!! That could be the beginning and end of this review. My Gyro is a small spot on the edges of Lilburn, Stone Mountain, & Snellville. I've been a couple of times and everything has been great. This most recent trip was just my wife and me. We went inside and were greeted promptly and took a look at the menu. I wanted the steak wrap and my wife the falafel with grilled veggies. Unfortunately they were out of steak, so I changed to the chicken wrap which led to a comical bit of confusion. The chicken wrap is prepared with fresh veggies, but the steak has grilled ones. I asked for the chicken wrap to be prepared like the steak one. Similarly, the same is true between the falafel vs veggie wrap. So my wife asked for hers with the grilled veggies as well. There's no button on the keypad for this, so we were initially rung up for the wraps we requested and additional charges for each veggie we wanted. This added about $10 to the bill, which confused us all; including the cashier. She was cool though and after a few minutes we got it figured out. We also got the Greek potatoes as a side. Falafel Wrap: 3.5 out of 5. It was a generous portion and looked amazing. The falafel was just pretty bland, so my wife said she would just order the veggie wrap next time. The onions, peppers, and sauce was delicious so that's definitely going to be her go-to. Chicken wrap: 5 out of 5. Juicy, flavorful, and plentiful! I ordered three gyro platters. I added feta cheese, which cost extra. It came with a ton of gyro meat, salad, lemon potatoes, and pita bread. Let's start out with the meat. The meat is awesome! Authentic flavor of lamb and beef. It is seasoned well too. Like I said, the meat that they give you, is plentiful. I was able to have leftovers the next day, and still couldn't finish that. The potatoes...my favorite part. Soo tender and delicious. I don't know how they made these potatoes, but I'm sure they had their grandma's recipe. The salad was fresh and crisp.
