Lemon mascarpone cake

We always enjoy stopping into this little cafe to grab a quick meal. The owners, DJ and Darshana, are always so friendly, helpful, and eager to serve! The chicken shawarma wrap is always delicious, the Mediterranean salad is so crisp and fresh, and the hummus is perfection! Darshana makes so many delicious desserts, too, but the lemon mascarpone cake and the cashew rolls are FANTASTIC! She had new carrot halves for us to try and they were yummy, too! Don't let the simplicity of the place or the styrofoam plates fool you - this place gives you exceptional foods and stellar personalized service that we don't often experience anywhere else. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!!

This wonderful place has delicious food and owner operators who are passionate about your dining experience. We had a falafel wrap delicious sides as well as a tandoori chicken over salad with samosa. The spiced warm tea as also amazing!

Black bean patty over salad, veg style

Excellent lunch. Driving through Macon on I-75, Medis is right off the highway and so much better than any fast food. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. I had the black bean patty over salad and grape leaves. Food in made in house, flavorful and filling without being heavy. I'll be back to try it fusion style with Indian flavors :)

Coconut Protein Bar and Baklava

Absolutely amazing. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap with Tabbouleh on the side and both were super fresh and tasty. The chicken wrap was nice and hot and filled with this spicy yogurt sauce that so good. The tabbouleh was the freshest I've ever had, but not too onion-y. I also had the coconut covered protein bar, which was thick but sweet and super filling. The two older workers were super sweet and helpful as well! Definitely recommend if near.

SUCH good food. The gentleman working took his time explaining how it works and what each item was. Not something you find everywhere. Rice was microwaved but it was moist and very flavorful. I was very impressed and happy with my meal.

Date balls and pistachio cake

Traveling through, and checked Yelp for a restaurant near our hotel. We love Mediterranean and Indian food, so decided to try Medi's and we are SO glad we did. It all looked so good and I was undecided, but one of the regular patrons said the falafel were amazing. I chose the falafel roll (on lavash bread) and it was as advertised (probably the best falafel I've had in the USA and I've had a lot!). I had a spicy Brussels sprout side dish - have no idea what all was in it but it was fantastic. Hubs had a beef and lamb shawarma wrap with tabbouleh salad and pickled okra as sides - he approved. Sorry we didn't take a picture lol! We couldn't leave without getting dessert to go - the date balls and protein balls were yummy and I'll bet the cake will be too.

Chicken Tandoori wrap with hummus and chips

Today was our first time dining here. The owners served us. They were very patient and kind in explaining things to us. My aunt got the grilled chicken wrap, my mom got the Tandoori chicken wrap (spicy) and I got the beef and lamb wrap. All the wraps were good. Hummus and chips were good. Their samosas were also good. They had a good variety of desserts including an assortment of baklava and halva. This is the first time I've seen halva served in this country. We will go back again.

The very kind owner showing me the ropes

I had seen this place show up in online searches previously, but their business hours made a visit…read moremore difficult for us. They are open Monday - Friday only. That's not a complaint, but it does mean that we don't have the option of stopping by on a weekend. We had not had Italian food lately, so we opted to make the 40-minute drive to Griffin one Friday. As far as I know, the restaurant has no dedicated parking lot. It is on a corner in the heart of downtown Griffin. However, there seemed to be ample on-street parking within a block or two, so that was no issue. We arrived around 5:15 p.m. and were seated. The place definitely has a well-worn, been-there-a-long-time vibe (in a good way). Most of the diners appeared to be locals. Our server was friendly and gave us time to peruse the extensive menu. There was a lot to choose from. I think I got a vegetable-based ravioli (mushroom or spinach). I think my wife opted for a chicken / pasta dish. Both were good and we ended up with leftovers to take home. They provided free bread to start with, but this didn't seem like true garlic bread that I might have expected. They gave you a lot of it, though. The meal was Italian food but adapted a bit to tastes in central Georgia. It wasn't generic like some chain restaurants, though. Given the logistics of dining here (for me), I doubt that I'll go back regularly. However, if I were in the area on a weekday, I'd consider a return visit.

I highly recommend. Fresh food, cooked very nicely. Very flavorful dishes. It's our visit to…read moreAngelo's from Georgia was a win-win.
