The food is fantastic. The hosts Mohammed and Michelle are delightful. The service staff is quick and attentive. The ambiance is simple and clean. If you're in the mood for great Indian food, you'd be hard pressed to find it anywhere else in Macon, that's this good. There are other Indian restaurants in town but Bombay Curry is the best! Great meal, served quickly. I had samosa chat, paneer vindaloo and garlic naan. All were great. I'm happy that I finally got some "Indian hot" food. I ask for Thai hot at Thai restaurants and never get it and Indian hot at Indian restaurants and rarely get it so I was happy to get it tonight. We stopped in for a lovely lunch of lamb makhani and garlic naan. The two dishes were wonderful. The lamb was perfect, as was the rice. And the naan was notable for not being in any way singed (maybe you have different experiences at other Indian places, but I find the naan is often somewhat singed or even slightly burnt at most places.) Also, the bathroom was CLEAN. (Unlike a certain other Indian restaurant in the vicinity, so...) You will likely pull into the parking area for this restaurant and wonder how they can survive in an area clearly more oriented to storage facilities instead of walk-in business - well, at least we did - but the inside is much different than the outside. read more

Twice a month at least - my family eats at Bombay Curry. Of the few Indian restaurants in Macon this menu includes Indo- Mongolian dishes we love. Pre- pandemic, we loved the lunch buffet. Can't find a buffet since. Wait staff can assist you ordering off the menu. It's all good. Be sure and get a lentil dish - my favorite vegetable. Not everyone at the table needs their own entree. Just order two or three things and pass them around the table. It's very exciting food. Remember that meat and vegetable dishes are kept separate entirely. Great place for vegetarians. read more

I stopped by today and ordered chicken biryani which is my absolute favorite dish. I love the dish well seasoned with very tender pieces of chicken. This dish did not disappoint. It also had a wonderful spice to it. Chicken biryani is one of the dishes indian restaurants either hit or miss with it. Either they create a wonderful flavorful fish with tender chicken or the dish is cold and flavorless and tastes like it was made a few days before. But this dish was very good. I prefer dark meat chicken pieces as they are more tender and it appears these folk use hen? Which is a bit tougher. However it was still good and the chicken pieces were as tender as hen meat can be. The restaurant was quiet. It has a nice atmosphere. read more

So, I don't ever leave reviews. I don't like yelp. You can see barely any reviews from me. I had to download yelp just to write this about this place. Yet again, the most inconspicuous restaurants, in strange locations...absolutely blow you away. This is the best Indian food I've ever had. Period. And I'm from Cincinnati where there is an Indian food restaurant every 3 miles. This beat them all. We are planning to stop here again on the way back from a Florida vacation. Chicken perfectly cooked. Korma amazingly spiced with whole cardamon! So flavorful. First time ever eating Korma this good. And first time eating Peshwari Naan ...amazing combination with the aromatics and spice of the korma. It's gonna be sad to have to wait a year to eat here again. The owner saw it was my birthday and gave Ras malai on the house which he didn't have to but it was really nice of him and the ras malai was amazing as well! I knew I was going to eat something different today, and I chose here. I looked at photos via Google and read reviews before I decided to try this place. I initially wanted the Chicken Karahi pictured on Google. He said it was no longer served on the bone and called Kadai on the menu. He was so nice and said next time he could make that for me with the bone in chicken. I'm quite sure his name was Mohammad, as indicated on my receipt. He was kind enough to explain the dishes that would be more dry versus having more gravy. So today, I ordered the Tikka Masala Chicken and an order of Garlic Naan Bread. The Tikka Masala is a lunch option item as well, but lunch options are not available on Fridays and Saturdays. The dish is very good. The spices marry together nicely. The boneless pieces of chicken are tender. The rice is nice and fluffy. The garlic naan, in conjunction with this dish, was perfect to absorb the juices. I would return to try another dish. Hopefully, it will be the bone in Chicken Karahi dish (Hint, Hint). read more

Stoped for a late lunch while in a road trip .... And will definitely be planning to stop again during our next trip through !! Outstanding , not just Indian but Pakistani and Indo-Chinese. Felt like a culinary trip to the far East in 30 minutes as the service was speedy and incredibly friendly. Don't let the dull, older model strip mall deter you , it's bright and fresh on the inside and the service really makes it sparkle. Prices were very reasonable and portions were satisfactory. Had two leftover meals out of it so really got our monies worth , which is critical anymore. If we had more time, and if you do, check out the Indo-Pak grocery store next door. I'm sure it lends to the authenticity and freshness besides the skill of chef of course. I got the chicken curry Kolbai and the basmati rice was perfection , flavors of the curry were extraordinary and chicken moist and plump. My husband got an Indo-Chinese lo-mein type dish wish a multitude of vegetables and chicken. Great flavor and super generous portion. Got the fried cauliflower in a chili oil sauce for an app that was Devine ! I love multicultural culinary experiences (there's detailed explanation on the menus about the different types and cooking implements used) and if you do too, you will not be disappointed, go immerse yourself! read more

The main meal,the Chana Masala, was delicious. Just the right amount of spices for me. Not to hot but not bland either. I ordered the regular naan and it was good but nothing special. I ordered a Diet Coke to drink and they bring a 12 oz can. But he also bought a bottle of water. The staff was very friendly and checked on me a number of times to see how I was doing. It's in a strip mall so the decor is plain. A square room with booths against one wall and the rest tables. I don't remember seeing any pictures or things from India hanging on the walls. The food is excellent here. Hands down the best Indian food restaurant in the Macon-Bibb area. The owner/staff are super friendly. I've only ordered food to-go from this restaurant but they have always prepared the food in good time. I usually order the butter chicken and ask them to make it as spicy as possible. The portions are fairly good and I can usually stretch one order out to two hearty meals. I've gotten food from here multiple times either to-go or delivered, and will keep coming back as long as I am living in this city. read more
