Having been here three times now, it has become one of my favorite restaurants. It's deceiving from the outside but inside is a whole different ballgame. The artwork gives it a very nice Vietnamese vibe. There's table seating and booths. Take your pick. Very fast and efficient service. They'll recommend some appetizers such as spring rolls. They're served cold with a peanut sauce. You can tell they're made fresh! Our go-to meals right now is the clay pot with choice of meat. It's definitely enough food to share! And we still had leftovers. Portions here are definitely shareable. I love their hot tea to drink. My husband loves the blended bubble teas, especially mocha for our coffee lovers out there. Bathrooms are fairly decent. And best part of all? They don't play loud music where you can't enjoy your company. Can't wait to go back! read more

Don't let the setting fool you. It's in a very nondescript strip mall right off of I-75 but inside you'll find an old school Asian restaurant with Vietnamese decor and friendly service. I ordered my lemongrass chicken bowl to go. It was a very generous serving with very flavorful chicken accompanied by nuoc cham and fresh salad veggies. This restaurant was OK a few years back, but now it is just BAD!!! The Pho was super expensive and not traditional at all. It consists of about four or five small pieces of diced chicken in a broth that tastes like water. All of this for $19? Are you kidding me? Been there twice in the past month, we gave it another try, and it was worse than before. At noon, (on both occasions) there were NO other customers in the restaurant, we should have RUN out of there. From 12 to 1 pm, we were the only customers. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. We visited Pho Saigon expecting authentic Vietnamese flavors, but the pho was by far the worst we've ever had. The broth, which should be the heart and soul of the dish, was bland, watery, and lacked the depth and warmth that makes pho so comforting. The meat was tough and overcooked, and the portion size didn't justify the exorbitant price. At $19, it was the most expensive pho we've ever paid for--and not worth it. To make matters worse, even the usual fresh herbs and condiments (basil, lemon? , chili, etc.) YES, they use lemon instead of lime. were sparse and seemed stale. It's as though they put zero effort into preparing this dish. If you're looking for good pho, skip this place. There are far better (and more affordable) Vietnamese restaurants out there. I went to the BBQ joint next store for my mother in law and immediately went back to town to get my kids and husband when realizing there seemed to be a pretty legit pho restaurant next door I'd never noticed. It's hard to find good ethnic food around this place! (I sure do miss central NC...). Service was kind and attentive. The Bahn Mi sandwich I was craving looked sooo promising, and it was aaaalmost there, but to be honest, even with adding a little fish sauce and some other little spices, I just couldn't draw out any flavor. Perhaps you could blame it on allergies, but I had no problem tasting ALL the cinnamon in my husband's pho. I get that it's a common ingredient, but it was heavy. Now, the sauces provided were a nice touch, the regular cilantro, basil, mung bean, etc. accoutrements were plentiful, a bonus as well, but I really don't know if I'd write home about this place. The depth of flavor wasn't there and I couldn't figure it out. HOWEVER, I would return and try out something new. It beats the competition on Forsyth Dr. I'd pass on the chicken and rice dish for the kids, and just order them multiple servings of the delicious spring rolls and yummy dipping sauce instead! Fresh rolls were your usual, but hey, they were fresh :) loved the sauce as usual too! Oh, and how can I forget YUMMY BOBA DRINK MENU! I'd come just for a spring roll and a Boba snack in the afternoon lol! Why not, right? So all in all I'd give it a 3.5, but round it to 4 stars. I have eaten here several times over the past several years and am shocked at how bad the food tastes and how much they have raised prices on their food. Prices here are easily more expensive than in Gwinnet County outside of Atlanta as well as the Northeast. The soup for the pho was flavorless, almost like they used powder instead of a beef broth. I ordered an extra-large portion, and the amount of food they gave me was comparable to a Medium at other Pho restaurants. Either their quality control has gone down or this business was sold to a new owner. It doesn't taste the same, for the worse. I paid almost $19 for the extra-large pho. This isn't ramen, it's pho. It shouldn't cost this much. The front desk host/owner was also not very friendly when I was picking up my order. They prepared my order on a side table and told me to take it from there instead of handing it to me. I like that they have all kind of sauce on the table a lot to choose from. All silverware are all there too that's a plus for me. There's a lot of selection on the menu. Not sure why the name is Pho Saigon since the taste and the flavor is nothing similar to Vietnamese dishes. I ordered #26 Grilled Pork and Egg rolled vermicelli dish. This was completely awful. The meat was not grilled as advertised at all, and was dyed with some weird bright red color that is typically seen in Chinese food, not Vietnamese food. The egg roll is the Chinese style, far from the Vietnamese style. The dish lacks the herbs that are usually added in this dish. The food is way oily than needed. The nice woman who runs the place speaks Chinese as well. Nothing authentic or close to the Vietnamese taste for it to be Pho Saigon. read more

Good food, good service, fair prices and large portions, clean and welcoming location and I recommend it overall. One of the things I really like is their large selection of vegan/vegetarian options. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that they did not include lime and basil for the soup and instead provided lemon and some kind of bland leafy vegetable that tasted like lettuce. That was a bit odd and we'll see what they give me next time. I had one of the vegetarian soups (#54) and there were plenty of great sauces on the table for adding heat and saltiness and sweetness. During the road trip from Florida to Illinois, we planned to have dinner in Atlanta. But it turned out that the way was longer than we thought; thus, we stopped in this restaurant to refill the energy. We checked on Google Map and saw that this Vietnamese restaurant got mostly positive reviews and high ratings from customers in town. Besides, as it was raining and a bit chilly, a hot soup was always the best choice. There were two servers only (one of them also did the cashier work), while the restaurant was quite busy with four to five tables came after us. The service was good, and the food came out pretty quick. The Pho that I had is Sliced Beef Pho, which I personally think is bad. The broth was not tasty at all as its taste was weak, poor, and lack of savory. The flavor is, somehow, closed to made-from-paste. I was pretty sure that they used MSG, as well as I doubted if they followed the authentic recipe which requires a significant amount of beef bones, pork bones, and plenty of spices. My bowl sadly did not have cilantro and just a few of green onion. The portions, which includes the Pho itself and vegetable dish, were quite far less from generous. The price was average but the quality of the Pho that we had is not worth the price whatsoever. The restaurant probably did a great job to satisfy all of its patrons and local customers, but it hardly pleased us with that Pho, I should say. read more

I think it's next to a BBQ place Service - I just saw 2 guys working. We were seated immediately, given menus, and etc. Food came out fairly quickly. The pho here as OK. Very light broth. They randomly add black pepper to it. Not sure why. Portion was okay too. The entire bowl just didn't have a zing to it. I'd maybe try another restaurant in the area. Thai Tea was also OK. Wonderful restaurant. Massive dining room that never hosts more than three tablefuls of people. This was my fiancé's and my go-to date spot for our four years at Mercer University. Get the lemongrass chicken. And for an appetizer get the pork egg roll things. Best Vietnamese food I've ever had. Phenomenal interior aesthetic. There's a hundred-foot-long wrought textured metal picture on the wall and the walls are filled with lovely authentic decorations and pictures. Listen: Ya main man Bruce runs a quality establishment. He's got a pretty dry sense of humor, but he and his family are quite nice. They and now Chico and Chan (not owned by them, just making a point) hold down the fort of Asian food in Macon that isn't American Chinese or American Japanese. This is kind of a sum of my experiences here: Pho // Noms: I've only had the chicken, but this stuff is great. Plenty of broth, and the small is actually quite a good portion itself (comes in extra small as well). Bahn Mi // Noms: Had the chicken as well (I like chicken, ok??), and it did have a bit too much bread for their bread-to-contents ratio. I've had better, but hey, it was tasty and hit that craving for bahn mi right in the face. Spring rolls // Noms: (4) Your typical shrimp, lettuce, and noodle appetizer all wrapped up for dipping in a sweet peanut sauce. Fried tofu // Noms: (4) Fried to a golden crips with the tofu melting like cream in your mouth. Also comes with the peanut dipping sauce. Boba // Noms: I've only had their frozen smoothie versions. I don't think they have straight tea, but they have every flavor and it's super good. I love the Taro and recently tried the Thai spice which was Ambience // I grew up in Macon, so I know this place used to be a Chinese restaurant. You can still see some remnants of that with the left hand side having mirrored walls. I'm pretty sure the giant carving on the wall came with the property, too. It's usually pretty quiet, though they sometimes have their kids running around, doing homework in the corner or playing pretend near the window overlooking the parking lot. Price // SO cheap. I live in Chicago now, so maybe that's a relative judgement, but I think for the portions and the utter lack of any Pho place within a 30 (plus?) mile radius, this place is a steal. Service // Can be a little slow sometimes, but usually they're timely. For the small team they have, they do well. Family owned and operated. Fun fact // When eating pho here one time, I mistook a jalapeño pepper slice for a green bell pepper. That's probably the closest I came to death (or what felt like dying) by garden plant. read more

So happy for this place which is going to cost me some $$$ in cash because of the 30 min drive to and from my home, and now I'll be visiting quite frequently. They're going to be seeing a lot of this little brown face in their restaurant. Not only do they have a vegetarian pho that doesn't taste like crap, they have a whole little section of vegetarian friendly options. There are almost TOO many choices for vegetarians, which sucks if, like me, you hate choosing. I'm looking forward to going back and trying each dish.
