Another excellent meal at Taj. We always stop here when driving through Macon. The meal was as just as expected.

Lamb vindaloo. Looks can be very deceiving.

Folks. Always read reviews of the restaurant that you're going into. This is not my first time in this restaurant but this time I was very disappointed. I ordered Lamb Vindaloo, and on my first bite I felt kind gross out the meat was kind off old( cooked twice)/left over and covered it with sauce. It's the smell of the sauce with bleachy smell. I am very familiar with species bout I can't point this one out needless to say , I have yo pushed it out than get sorry sick.

Saturday afternoon, about 1:30pm. An old strip mall. A hole in the wall restaurant. Sometimes those places are the best. In my opinion this place wasn't the best. It's a restaurant, and the most important thing is the food. The food here was actually pretty good. I'm no expert on Indian food, but I enjoyed my meal. Had an order of jalapeño pakora for an appetizer, which I enjoyed in conjunction with the spicy green chutney served with the popadoms. The peppers weren't really that spicy, but you never know with jalapeños. The garlic nan was super good! Love that stuff. For my entree, I had lamb vindaloo. I enjoyed it as well with one exception. I asked for it to be spicy, a 7 on a1-10 scale. If they put any extra spice I couldn't tell. This leads me to my rating of just ok. It seems like a family place, which can be great. I reckon if I was a regular not some guy off the street things may have been different. But the service was uneven at best. Order was taken fairly promptly. Got a refill or two on my water, but towards the end of the meal my glass sat empty. In fact after checking in once after receiving meal there was no other service interaction. Meanwhile the owners?/servers sat a few tables away chatting with a friend. Nothing wrong with that, but totally ignoring a paying customer isn't optimal. Granted, if I actually needed something I could have simply flagged them down. Perhaps a cultural difference. After my meal and some conversation. I began to wonder about the check. No check was ever delivered to the table. We simply got up and walked to the counter. Stood there too long waiting for the guy to come take our money. Again, a cultural difference? I know not. So while the food was pretty good, the service was lacking in my opinion. But there aren't a whole lot of Indian food places around, so if I was In the area and had a hankering I try it again.

Just ate here, all I can say Awesome!!!! Chicken Bryani was so tasty with the aroma coming from the cinnamon basmati rice and then the right touch of spice in the Bryani sauce was so good. Bread basket of garlic Naan was so chewy but soft prefect taste of the crispy edges, scooping up the chicken and rice soaking up that sauce. Man is was good ! Tandoori chicken with a little sear on the skin on a bed of fried onions... mmmmmmmm! Awesome food! Great staff, very friendly.

Absolutely amazing and authentic Indian food. We have had lots of Indian food across the country but this place is a must try for foodies. The tandoori chicken and saag paneer are phenomenal! Got to try the garlic naan. Photos do not do the flavors justice.

He was a very cool guy and even helped carry my food to the car because my hands were full with my son and his car seat, which I truly appreciated. The food was fresh, well seasoned, and full of flavor. I ordered the goat curry with plain white rice and a side of onion salad. Everything tasted amazing and you could tell it was made fresh. My total came to about $27 and some change, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portion size. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and looking for good, flavorful food and friendly service.

Although it's small and has only two tables, food is prepared once it's ordered, so it's really fresh! Best thing here was the tandoori half portion that we ordered. It was flavorful and the salad underneath had a nice crunch and made the meal more refreshing. I would get it again if I were to return. The curries, green chicken saagwala and bhuna murgh masala, were spiced but not spicy. We would've enjoyed them more had they been spicy, and I expected the bhuna murgh to be because it said hot & spicy, but it wasn't. The small garlic naan we ordered were alright. They tasted good and were indeed small, yet for some reason the middle was dry and crunchy while the outer was soft and fluffy. We got takeout, and I just wish we got the samosas we ordered. We should've checked, but we didn't, and it was too late to really go back.

Unlike the previous Indian restaurant in this location, there's no buffet, but it has a more classy, upscale feel. Waitstaff are quick, friendly, and helpful. Okay, on to my order in particular. So I wanted Indian food, and finding that this place had replaced Curry Mantra, decided to give it a try. I ordered the Goat Sukha, which is a dry curry, since I figured I always get a stewed goat curry and should branch out. I also ordered a garlic naan and a house cabernet sauvignon. It was an excellent meal. As the curry was dry rather than stewed, there were some pieces of the goat that were a bit tough, although most was moist, chewy, and tender. I ordered the meal as India Hot, and it was exactly what you expect from India Hot in most Indian restaurants (not as hot as Thai Hot in a Thai restaurant, but still gives an intense burn, if that's your thing). As in any good curry, you could get all sorts of other spicy flavors besides just the intense spiciness. I also ordered a garlic naan. Here, there was a slight mix-up, with me getting buttered naan rather than garlic naan, but the server realized that there'd been a screw up without me pointing in out, and so they brought me garlic naan even after I'd accepted the buttered naan. The cabernet was solid for a House Cabernet. The naan was absolutely astounding. All told, if you want to get Indian food in a slightly more upscale environment, get a meal from 7 Spices. Note: There's no weekday buffet, at least as far as I can tell. All told, if you want delicious Indian food in Warner Robins, 7 Spices is an excellent choice.
