Tandoori Chicken
Gupta R.

I placed an order for Tandoori chicken, Chicken tikka masala, naan and samosa plate from Vatica. Had heard good reviews from my workplace about this restaurant and it didn't disappoint me. I did not have time to eat at the restaurant but uber eats helped me with the good service and made it possible to try the great food. Superb quality and really delectable . Hot and freshly made with the right spice level. Enjoyed it a lot and for sure, will be ordering again.

Khari Lamb Bullet Naan and Rice

Tandoori chicken :- was tasty , just needed some lemon and chutney (not provided). Had a good portion in the box . Khari Lamb :- lamb pieces didn't have much taste but the curry it was made in tasted very nice. Naan:- ordered 2 different ones , chilli and spicy. They are not the same as you would order in a typical Indian restaurant, but taste and spice is was good . Door dash service was delayed, driver said he had been waiting for the food for a while before he got it.

-take out can sometimes take a little bit longer on their busier nights -vegetable thali is good for those who want to try a lot of things -chicken tikka masala never disappoints -garlic naan is SO fresh and always well done -I come here regularly when craving Indian food -I don't have the best pics since I usually order takeout

Lamb Briyani..sooo good and flavorful! Ordered to go, they give you plenty! This was my second serving after I arrived home!!

Went to visit my niece in Marietta a few days ago and I wanted some Indian cuisine and she took me to Vatica! The service was great, not busy (called my order in) ready upon arrival! Ambiance looks quaint, a few customers were dining! Free parking, in a busy plaza! Food was delicious!

Thali Plate

My Mother and I have been dinning with Vatica for what feels like a decade. From day one they have been nothing but authentic. Moreover there staff if delightful and the atmosphere is Indian. As for the food the picture speaks for itself. If you're curious what cardamom tastes like come here!!!!

Lamb and chicken korma

My boyfriend was dying for some Indian food and he's been here multiple times but this was my first. This was a complete surprise. Absolutely phenomenal Indian cuisine. Don't let the parking lot or small complex fool you. There is nothing fancy about the place inside but it's clean and the server was very nice and attentive. The food came out piping hot. He had hot and it is HOT and I ordered medium and I'm sweating . The best part is the naan. The best fresh made naan I've ever had. I love the huge chunks of lamb and chicken in the korma. This is an absolute redo and staple now!

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. I have seen the management change hands over the years. In these 20+years they have grown so very much. From a family owned business ran by a husband and wife team to now being ran as a restaurant by a team! I am so proud of them and their growth. The food is delicious. The buffet on the weekends is balanced with enough variety. Authentic Indian cuisine. The Nan bread is served table side, fresh and hot. Another great improvement over the years has been the ambiance. Now, the seating and layout is attractive, clean and organized. The service by the young men is personable and polite. Check this place out for good quality Indian food!

Vegetable Biryani

I was excited to try a new Indian place, but I honestly didn't absolutely love my food here although it was still decent! I ordered the vegetable biryani and it was good but not really the biryani flavor I was looking for! The staff is friendly and accommodating, and there are many options so maybe I just didn't order the right thing! Also the biryani is pretty spicy so just be aware ! They do have a thali that I am interested to try as well. As for the ambiance it's a very chill low key spot. There are several booths throughout and would say it's probably good for an informal dinner!

Lamb saag, chicken vindallo and karahi

This was my second visit as I understood the mangement has changed since my previous visit about 5 years ago. We ordered a veg thali, chicken vindaloo, chicken Karahi and lamb saag. Lamb saag was the pick of the dishes. Clear 4.5 star. Actually all the dishes were well above average when compared to other Indian restaurants. The thali had an assortment of dishes including baigan bharta, lentil, chickpeas and Sweet rice dish. What is more distinctive about the dishes is the north Indian flavor. Predominant cuisine of most Indian restaurants in US is south Indian. All the dishes on thali were well cooked, full of flavors and had an authentic home cooked touch. One thing I would add is that the chicken karahi tasted more like achari chicken, one of my favorite, so no complaints from my end. Well cooked though possibly mislabeled. Quantity of food was good, overall good value for money

Didn't feel like cooking and scrolling through Uber ears trying to figure out what to eat. Since they had a couple to save $20 off of an order $25 or more I knew I had to find something on here. In the mood for Indian and haven't eaten at Vatica in about a year so decided to place an order. The estimated delivery time was an hour so I ordered and waited patiently for my food. Samosa plate 2 pastry shells stuffed with potatoes and peas Thali to go rice, dal, lentils and beans, vegetables, potatoes, papad, roti, and raita. Baingan Bharta egg plant simmered with onion & tomatoes wasn't impressed it was ok Overall good food will order again.

Vegetarian Thali

I visited Vatica that serves a variety of dishes, but I go there specifically for the Indian thali. The thali is really good, it comes with puri, three sabzis, dal soup, rice, papad, raita, kheer, and one appetizer. The best part is that it is an unlimited thali and I love to eat them. The restaurant has a very homely feel to it, the staff is really nice and the ambiance is not super fancy but it is clean with lot of seating. It's important to note that my review is based solely on the thali as that is my regular order when I visit this restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying and delicious Indian thali. The food is authentic, the service is friendly and the ambiance is cozy, it feels like home.

Garlic Naan

I have had 2 very different experiences at Vatica.. overall, the food is very good. The first time I ordered, I ordered through an online app and they definitely missed my order. I placed the order, arrived an hour later then waited 30 minutes. The 2nd time, I called my order in which is the best way to order. The food is great, but specify spicy level or it will be bland. I am a fan of navratan korma & their Korma has frozen vegetables (corn, peas, diced carrot) which is a little disappointing. My boyfriend loves the chicken biryani, spicy hot.

Whether it's a quick meal or a place to relax with family and friends, this place consistently delivers an amazing experience. If you haven't been yet, you're definitely missing out!

We came to Biryani N Grill in Smyrna as a large group and they were able to seat us in a private…read moresection, which was really nice. The restaurant itself is pretty big, with a separate bar area and another section that works well for larger parties. It felt comfortable and lively, and there was plenty of space for everyone. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to start: green chilli chicken, chicken tikka, malai chicken tikka, paneer tikka, and mutton masala. You have to choose the spice level for the green chilli chicken and mutton. Our first round was ordered mild but it came out quite spicy. The second round was much better after we asked our server to tone it down. Even though the heat was high, the flavors were great. The green chilli chicken is battered and fried, tossed in a bright green chilli sauce and it had a really nice kick. The chicken tikka, malai chicken tikka, and paneer tikka were all soft, juicy, and packed with flavor. For the main dishes we tried the chicken 65 biryani, ghee roast mutton biryani, gongura mutton fry biryani, and dal makhani. I was honestly impressed by how many biryani options they have on the menu. The ghee roast mutton biryani was the clear favorite at our table. The mutton was tender and the rice had a rich buttery aroma from the ghee and spices. The chicken 65 biryani was also great, with crispy fried chicken pieces mixed into the rice. The gongura mutton fry biryani had a tangy flavor from the gongura leaves which made it really unique. The dal makhani was creamy and comforting, and it came with rice so there was already a lot of food on the table. We finished with gulab jamun and rasmalai for dessert, plus coffee and mango lassi. Everything was delicious and there was definitely more than enough food to go around. The food was a hit, but the service was a bit of a miss. Our server rarely checked in and we were told they were understaffed that day. For a large group it would have been nice to get a little more attention. They also use a robot to bring food to the table which was fun at first, but it stopped far away from us so someone still had to grab the dishes and load the empty plates back on it since the table was not being cleared. We also heard they have good cocktails at the bar, but when we asked for specialty drinks we were told the bartender was off that day so only beer and wine were available. Only after asking the owner/manager (who kindly checked in on us midway through the meal) did they make us a spiced lime juice (albeit virgin). Even with the service issues, I would still come back. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the variety of biryani alone makes it worth another visit.
