My friend and I decided to try something new. I usually order pho, but she wanted to try the Bun Bo Hue, so we both ended up ordering it. Overall, I really enjoyed it! The broth was incredibly flavorful and rich. My only complaint was the noodles... I definitely prefer the thinner rice noodles that come with pho. We also ordered the green papaya salad. It was fresh, delicious, and had a nice kick to it, so if you're not a fan of spicy food, be warned! The summer rolls were also very good. The only downside was the peanut sauce. It had a stronger hoisin flavor than I prefer. I personally like peanut sauce that's creamier and has more of a peanut butter base. I also tried the Thai steamed dumplings. They were okay, but nothing particularly memorable. They came out stuck together and were topped with crunchy garlic bits. Unfortunately, they weren't my favorite dish of the meal. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality and portion sizes. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, even though he was the only one working and was clearly busy. From what I understand, this is a semi-family-owned restaurant (correct me if I'm wrong), and you can really tell that everything is made with care and attention. The restaurant also has two beautiful saltwater aquariums that are relaxing to watch while you enjoy your meal, which adds to the overall atmosphere. One thing to keep in mind is the restaurant's hours. They don't always match what's listed online. They have a takeout-only period from 5:00-6:00 p.m., so it's worth checking before you go. Be very wary of its hours because they don't always open for dine in even though the hours are listed as open. I had to call them once I've gotten to the restaurant already because I saw employees wandering inside and they said they do take out only until a certain time and then they'll open up for dine in. This should be something that's listed outside so customers do not get confused. They placed a non-specific "be back in 10 minutes sign" and do not state when that is so I'm glad we called to ask because we would've ended up waiting almost an hour before they "open" for dine-in. read more

Another BAD THING is he never charges the correct amount thats on the menu AND he charges 7% tax which legally it should be 6% in Smyrna!!! AND if it's 6 people or more he automatically adds a 20% tip not 15 or 18 percent but 20% even if his service isn't great which it rarely ever is. My steak and flank pho had chewy ligament that I could not swallow. I guess some may enjoy that but I definitely do not. The Thai dumplings were good and so was the broth in the pho. Service was not great. Our waiter seemed confused with any questions we had about the menu and never came to check on us after the food was brought. I honestly do think the food here might be very tasty but I do not feel like coming back because of the service. Pho Hoang Long is a Vietnamese staple. Family run, it has been up and respected for a long time. It has been one of my family's go to spots for authentic Vietnamese food for over 10 years. While the area it's located in is kind of sketchy, Hoang Long sits right in the middle with a somewhat small entrance. There is the typical fish tanks and there even used to be a grocery store connected to the restaurant. Food at Pho Hoang Long never disappoints, namely their pho. Their brisket is extremely flavorful and they usually give generous portions of meat. Their broth is also flavorful and sometimes I don't even need to add hoisin sauce.
