Bawarchis is an institution, and it's exciting that they have graced their presence in this area. They've also brought along a good dessert spot with them - Kwality is an Indian ice cream wonderland. Got takeout to go - chicken 555 and chicken dum biryani. It's got the same taste as the food in Sandy Springs, now we don't have to drive so far to get it. For those who haven't had before, Bawarchi always does solid chicken appetizers (flavorful and crispy), their biryani is always on the masala-forward side (think strong garam masala). Honestly found this place by accident and it was a super pleasant surprise! We ordered takeout last weekend and thought it was great! Plenty of parking, the restaurant is bright and clean and feels a little more modern. The restaurant is split in two, half restaurant and half ice cream/dessert shop. I'm not sure if the desserts are made in house. We ordered the chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and cilantro chicken appetizer. The portions were generous, could easily be shared, and they CAME WITH RICE. Most Indian places make it à la cart as an additional charge. Flavor was great, good heat with flavor and not just hot. It was about $50 for a meal that could easily serve 4 people. Service was quick, friendly, and they seemed to be very appreciative for the business. I was getting my haircut and my hair stylist told me about the new Indian restaurant that had opened up in the same complex. I am glad she did as our lunch was delicious! I was considering of getting butter chicken but per the server's recommendation I got the Andhra Chicken curry instead. It was so tasteful! Remember to tell them what spice level you would like. I like medium hot but on the spicier side and I got level 6. My husband got the Achari Gosht (mutton) also recommended by the server. He wanted to get mutton but was not sure which dish. And of course we ordered the garlic naan (One is enough for two people). The portions are reasonable. If you want to order an appetizer I recommend sharing a main dish. You can always order more! This is the BEST restaurant. It's the kind of Indian food you would have to drive to Atlanta proper to find except it's right here in the suburbs. Very authentic, flavorful, spiced well, and presented really nicely. The staff is friendly and very attentive making sure that you have everything you need but also let you relax and enjoy your time. They have pretty hanging flowers and cozy booths. Nothing else exists like this in the northern suburbs. It's truly more of a city vibe with really good flavors- not the watered down type of Indian food we can sometimes see out here. Totally recommend the masala dosas and paneer dishes. They also have gluten free items which is very important to me but then definitely have tons to eat for those who aren't gluten free. Really excellent food and experience! I have been back to this restaurant twice in the last week it is just that good! The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The interior is clean and well decorated, there is lots of room for groups if needed. The boneless chicken biryani has been my favorite, so flavorful and tasty. We were craving some good Indian food and this restaurant popped up in my Instagram feed. Looked interesting so we said "Why not?". It didnt disappoint. The staff was very helpful as some of the dishes are more family style (biryani). It reminded me of being back in Little India in Singapore. The food was delicious. We had the boneless chicken biryani. It was medium spicy but next time I'd get that one more mild as it was too spicy for my wife. It had some heat to it but a nice mango lassi was just what the doctor ordered. We also had the Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy as well but it wasnt as spicy as the Biryani but it was still delicious. Had to get 2 orders of garlic naan to sop up the gravy. Nice and tender with some crisp to it. Everything was great and had enough for a couple of extra meals. Definitely putting this in the rotation.
