We came here for lunch prior to an afternoon concert at the Coca Cola Roxy. The location is within the Battery so it made sense to park once and eat here. I was surprised how empty it was but the Braves were also playing that night so people hadn't gotten to the Battery yet. We were seated at a booth just inside the front door and they also have a decent sized patio area that is great for people watching. We started with the meatballs and they were pretty dry. I got the steak calzone as my entree and that was much better, super buttered and a huge size. The shell was on the crunchy side, so great if that is what you like. There was a ton of cheese and it came with some marinera, but it really didn't need it. We were trying to avoid leftovers but had some and since we were going to the concert, they held them for us and we picked them up after the show. This worked out great for us as the calzone heated up well at home the next day! read more

We came here on game day and it is good for everybody to know that on game day they do not offer their full menu but instead have a specific, smaller one. I went for the seafood linguine, which is always delicious, but it wasn't an option, so this time I tried the chicken marsala, and it was honestly disappointing. We finally decided to try this location again and for the second time and I am sorry to say, I was disappointed. The last time we ate inside the restaurant was in 2023. We waited so long because the first time we went here dined in, it did not meet our expectations. We normally visit the Briarcliff Rd location which is always on point but for some reason this location is always a miss for us. We normally go with pizza and wings but I had a strong urge for Fettuccine Alfredo and I was sure that since this was supposedly an authentic Italian restaurant that this was the place to get it. Boy, was I wrong! The sauce was bland and had absolutely no taste. The pasta was also dry and I had to request extra sauce. It tasted nothing like Alfredo sauce, not even close! In addition, I ordered blackened salmon, it came grilled. The entire meal was a fail! To say I was underwhelmed is putting it mildly. It was bad!! My husband had the Veal entree, he too was disappointed. He said the dish lacked flavor. I had shrimp scampi for an appetizer, the shrimp tasted frozen in my opinion. My husband and I were both really disappointed with our dishes. We order takeout from this location frequently and it's usually pretty good. I can't figure out what it is about dining in here. Exquisite Italian Cuisine This restaurant is a great option for a meal after a Braves game. We started with the bruschetta as an appetizer--fresh and flavorful. So I ordered the Arancini, which is like a fried ball with bolognese pasta and the sauce was to die for. Next was my drink which was a dry drop martini it was seriously so good, gin with lavender bitters. Next a margarita pizza that was so flavorful but simple, not doing too much. Cooked to perfection the crust was perfection cooked not over done or raw literally in the middle, I got a really good cheese pull too. Then to end it all was the tiramisu, the best I've had seriously and I don't even like coffee but it has a fudge on top and it's not a strong coffee flavor it's light but there, not overpowering or bitter at all. Whipped cream was able whipped freshly, you can tell. The waiter was Iona super nice can strike up a convo and he gave us allll these recommendations that I do not regret that I loved and will come back for!!! We had tickets for a show at The Roxy and wanted to eat nearby. We had reservations for a Saturday evening and arrived a few minutes prior. The gentleman at the host booth was polite and willing to seat us early although our friends had arrived. It worked out because we sat down and ordered drinks and appetizers while waiting on them. Everything we had was good. Our server Josh was friendly and checked in with us frequently. I would've love to sit on the patio but it was still a little chilly. The only thing that was odd was the host came to us after an hour of being there and told us he needed to have the table cleared within 15 minutes. It was strange because there were 2 tables near us that were vacant and there was a party of 7/8 behind us that was there before us. We didn't ask any questions but I think it would've been nice to know ahead of time if we needed to be finished within a certain timeframe. read more

Very much so enjoyed this location in the Battery. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The server did say it was the last table -would recommend reservations - pretty packed. The waiter was good. Water immediately, kept the table tidy, accurate meal. I ordered a fettuccine Alfredo no protein for an entree. I sprinkled some crushed red pepper - perfect dish. Very light, in house noodles (or a dupe), fair serving size. For my app - I ordered the mozzarella sticks. I would pass the next time. The breading lacked flavor and a desired texture. I'm basing my review on the food, not the service. We sat on the high top table near the bar area. We were greeted whom we think was the bartender. She was nice for a second and for the rest of the night we felt like we were bothering her. She kept sitting on the bar stools with a book in front of her and talking to the other workers standing by the bar area. Bad look if you ask me. However, the gentleman that kept bringing our food was super friendly and very helpful when we were trying to decide what to order. I'd trade him over the bartender/server or whatever her position was. For our appetizers we ordered the CALAMARI FRITTI - and the SAUTÉED CALAMARI. The Calamari Fritti is lightly breaded calamari, marinara, lemon aioli - meh. It was nothing special. I will skip this next time. The Sautéed Calamari is made with capers, onion, garlic, lemon, tomatoes, EVOO. Now this dish was delicious! Will definitely have this again. For my entree I chose the Seafood Linguini. It was good, just a little too lemony, and the noodles were a bit al dente. I like softer noodles. My husband's dish was the Chicken Marsala and he raved about it. We will definitely come back but we are hoping for a way better service on our next visit. Crossing our fingers! This Italian resto replaced the chicken place at the Battery. +. Ambiance is laid back sports resto vibe. This is one of the smaller resto/bar combo at The Battry. It has a decent size indoor, but not huge, as well as several patio tables that could seat ~ dozen peeps. We sat at the patio bar that had another 6 seats. Like most restos at the Battery, there are TVs with live Braves or other games on at all times. +. Food is American Italian with pastas, pizzas and salads. We had a margarita pizza and a calzone. Both were delicious. Their Margarita was slightly salty and their calzone was served with marinara sauce. The portion was decent but the food was rich (in a good way) so both of us could only finish about half of the dishes. Though we didn't try on this visit, they have a good selection of whiskies including single malts and Japanese. +. Service was prompt and friendly. Even for a non-game night, their service was better than at many other restos at the Battery. We had 3 different people tending us and a manager checked in on us even at the bar a few minutes after our food was served. ++. Price is $20+ which is average at the Battery. It's pretty reasonable compared to other restos here. +. Parking is free for 3 hours on none game days at designated decks. Street parking is under different rules and IS Enforced! Overall, EATalino is a decent all around resto! Smaller, slightly upscale but casual vibe, decent food and service at a reasonable price. After trying 80% of the restos at the Battery, this is a place I would return to. The pics on my review is the amount of cheese on top of the pasta and salmon. It was so overwhelming and you couldn't taste the filling. Start our experience off was not great. We couldn't figure out how to get into the restaurant, and one of the hosts just shrugged his shoulders like he couldn't help us. We eventually figured out that there was a zip up portion in the tent and found our way into the restaurant we were seated, and before we could realize our waiter had come to the table, brought us water and asked if we wanted anything to drink to start off the waiter was spectacular and definitely turned our experience around. The food was good. We ordered the mozzarella sticks as a starter and then the lasagna and Alfredo for entrées. Just be aware that if you order Alfredo adding me is another 5 to 8 dollars depending on what meat you get the may didn't have soft drinks on them, so we just kind of guessed what they may have had. read more

My friend and I decided to grab lunch at The Battery after exploring the Atlanta Home Show, and after a bit of wandering, we settled on EATaliano Kitchen. While finding our way into the restaurant was confusing, and getting seated took a bit longer than expected, our server JJ more than made up for it once we were seated at our table. JJ was knowledgeable about the menu and incredibly attentive. We received great service throughout our meal. We opted for entrees along with a side salad. I judge a restaurant's caliber by the quality of its salads and was happy that my Greek salad surpassed expectations. Fresh ingredients paired with the right dressing made for a great starter. My anticipation for their gluten-free pasta option however was met with disappointment. While the pasta itself was satisfactory, the sauce was bland. Compared to other Atlanta-area restaurants, the gluten-free pasta fell short. Opting for the marinara sauce without any added protein was a misstep on my part but the sauce should have carried it regardless. Overall, our dining experience was nice, although not without its shortcomings. Considering the price point of the meals, I had hoped for a bit more in terms of taste and innovation. Nevertheless, the attentive service and fresh ingredients certainly added value to our visit. Everyone was super nice, and the restaurant manager thanked us on our way out. read more

For our Saturday date night last week we tried a new spot. EATaIiano is right as your exit I-75 & 285 by the Battery. The ambiance was nice. Not too busy, but we had reservations. Got seated right away. We didn't have pizza, but I heard they do have yummy ones. Instead I had the Steamed Fresh Mussels In white wine butter sauce. I'm not sure why, but the sauce wasn't to my tastebuds liking. I ate them all, but for me I wouldn't order them again. I'd like to try another dish next time. As for my bf he quickly eyed the ladies dish beside us and went with the huge Veal Chop Milanese. It was a pan-fried bone-in breaded veal chop with spaghettini. I've never seen a veal chop served like that!! It was delicious and they must sell tons of that dish. I loved my first visit here, but this time was left just feeling like dinner was ok. We started with the sautéed calamari which lacked seasoning. It had the taste of garlic, but overall felt just a little bland. Last time we had it, we loved it, might've just been a different cook's seasoning tonight. My wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the beef medallions. Both were good, my steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, but the demi-glaze felt like it needed something to give it that extra flavor to stand out. Our server took our orders, but overall wasn't the most outgoing, and never checked on how our meal was. So were we in the area for a baseball game - parking nearby and finding this restaurant between the car and the ballpark. I had done some research online before the game - and this restaurant stuck out. While it was not our first choice (we had put our names in elsewhere and been told a 1+ hour wait), the fact that they could seat us right away moved it quickly to the top of our list of options. While we were there PLENTY before the game, hubby was concerned about time as he likes to get to the game way before it starts. So we sat outside as it was quite comfortable. It also was most convenient and for the taking without a wait. Service was pretty good - given our string of horrible service. We were cheap dates - a soda and water. While the salad menu was not ideal, I knew I could find something to eat. And given the situation, that's all I was asking for. I decided to go with the spinach salad with chicken. My Sweetie got the alfredo with chicken and a side salad. Our meals were brought out fairly quickly which was nice as there was not much entertainment while we waited. There were really TVs to watch sports and the people-watching didn't work for me as my back was to the street. We ended up playing on our phones a bit as we had spent every waking moment together since yesterday - and this was only day 2 of our trip. So not talking was AOK. My salad came out and had a fair amount of chicken. And it didn't have anything beyond what the description said - walnuts, a little fruit, cheese - and not all that much. Sweetie plate had a fair amount of noodles and chicken. ALthough his salad seemed slim given the price. Which brings me to the punch line. This place was top dollar for what was served - quality, quantity - and paying almost totally based on location and convenience before the game. So I paid our bill knowing this would be the most expensive meal on our trip. We were on our way to the game well sooner than an hour from when we were seated. We had plenty of time to wander in a few stores as we killed time before heading into the stadium. So would I eat here again? Nope. But do I regret it? Nope. Review for Eataliano Kitchen - Battery Atlanta, GA My cousin and I recently took our visiting family out for what we hoped would be a nice lunch at Eataliano Kitchen in the Battery Atlanta. Our total bill came to $228.00, and we left a generous $50.00 tip for our waitress, who truly did an outstanding job. She was helpful, attentive, and gave great menu recommendations - easily the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, everything fell apart after we left the restaurant. After processing my debit card for the correct amount, Eataliano Kitchen flagged my card for fraud, which led to my card being completely disabled by my bank - and I had no idea this had even happened. I later spoke directly with my bank, and they confirmed that Eataliano Kitchen was the party that flagged and triggered the fraud alert on my account. Still unaware of the issue, we went to the Signia Hotel Atlanta to retrieve my valeted car. When I attempted to pay the $60 valet fee, my card was declined three times in front of a crowd of people. It was embarrassing, frustrating, and entirely unnecessary. My sister ultimately had to put the charge on her hotel room and pay cash so I could get my car back. Later, I tried to use my card again at a well-known cigar bar for a small $20 charge (including tip), and it failed once again due to the block placed by Eataliano Kitchen. This situation caused me public embarrassment, disrupted the rest of our day, and made me look financially irresponsible in front of visiting family - all due to Eataliano Kitchen's mishandling of my payment. I expect full compensation for our entire meal and drinks at your establishment, as well as reimbursement for the expenses I incurred afterward as a direct result of your actions, including the cigar bar charge and valet fee. Management needs to take accountability for this unacceptable and damaging experience, because you could have asked for my I.D if things looked suspicious to you. I sincerely hope this review serves as a warning to others and a wake-up call to the business to improve its payment processing and customer service protocols. I came here on a Thursday night before closing. The pasta dish I got was substantial and decent. I liked the breadsticks but couldn't finish them. We had a reservation for 8. When we arrived, the host was sitting on a bench on his phone and he did not acknowledge us. Once we were seated, service was painfully slow and awkward. No complimentary bread was served, but we were informed we could order ciabatta or garlic breadsticks that were not on the menu. We ordered the garlic breadsticks and they were literally just sprinkled in shredded parmesan that fell off after you picked them up. The breadsticks came out immediately and weren't even warm. The marinara was also cold. I could not imagine a worse bread to pay for at a restaurant where it should be complementary... After we ordered the garlic breadsticks, our waitress never returned take our order. At this point, we had been sitting at our table for over 45 minutes. We watched multiple wait staff cough into open hands and perform unsafe food practices while we waited. We ultimately decided not to eat here because we felt it was gross. We finally asked a bus boy to bring our waitress over - we politely told her we wouldn't be eating here and she came back and slapped our bill on the table and didn't say thank you or anything. Our bill had automatic gratuity that was not mentioned to us. I'm so glad our waitress earned her 18% tip when she did literally nothing for us and had no customer service skills. Let's get the easy one out of the way first. Ambience was okay. Nothing special, but nothing objectionable. I'm fortunate in that the love of my life is not overly concerned about special occasions. It was Valentines Day, and I forgot to make reservations The fact that we could just walk into this place without reservations, in the Battery, should have been a big red flag. First up? $75 per person mandatory for a 5 course Italian meal. Italy would be ashamed. Courses in this order: Cheese board, appetizer, Greek salad, entree, dessert. After waiting 20 minutes, got the salad. That's right, what happened to the first two? They came 10 minutes later. So since when did a Greek salad consist of radicchio salad with a few olives thrown in? Not in Greece, I promise. The cheese on the cheese board was dried out with no flavor. The app? Best part of the first 3 courses. It was a rice ball concoction called Arancini. It was okay, but I definitely had better. After another slow 20 minutes, here come the entrees. I had Lasagne, she had the veal. They were stone cold. Not even Luke warm, just cold. The cheese on the lasagne was like rubber. She said the veal was like leather. Worst entrees I've had in a while. I only ate about 1/3 of mine, and took the rest home hoping I could salvage it. Honestly? The 5th course, the chocolate cake, was the best. At this point, I'm inclined to believe they didn't make it themselves. Came from a bakery somewhere. With the $40 bottle of wine, and the auto gratuity of $40, the bill came to almost $250. When I think of all the fine meals I could have gotten in Atlanta for that much, I feel sick. Hal's steak house, Mezza Luna (for far less), Rumni's Kitchen (a little less), or Poor Calvin's! When we walked out, she said "I can't believe we got ripped off by a tourist trap in our own home town". That should tell you all you need to know. First, I want to apologize for not taking pictures. The food was really good. I had a Caesar salad and the portobello mushroom raviolis. Decent sized portions. I really enjoyed the sauce on the raviolis. I definitely recommend this place for the food! I sat at the bar because I was by myself. I ordered a glass of wine. Fine - no issues. I tried to get a second glass when my meal arrived and could not get any eye contact or response from the bartender. The woman that originally served me was chatting up all the men and completely ignoring me. I didn't even get utensils. The guy next to me gave me his since his food didn't come out yet. When this same guy was asked if he wanted another drink he said no but this woman (pointing to me) has been trying to get one. Lol read more

Visiting Family in Atlanta from up north and they recommended this restaurant. We had a disappointing experience with a waitress who seemed to have a very short temper and an unprofessional attitude. From the start, she appeared impatient and uninterested in serving our table. When my cousin asked for a glass of Cabernet, she bluntly asked if we wanted "the cheapest" option, which came off as rude and unnecessary. Throughout the meal, she remained short and unfriendly. When my mother politely asked if she was okay, she responded by questioning if she was okay instead. After pointing out that she was acting short, she became visibly irritated, dismissive, and even snapped that she was "too busy" Things escalated when she snatched a menu out of one of my cousins hands, which was completely unacceptable and stated she doesn't have time for this. Another server at the table even witnessed her unprofessional behavior. The manager eventually stepped in, apologized, and assigned us a new server, which we appreciated. However, I did express that simply switching servers wasn't enough. This waitress clearly had an issue and didn't seem suited for hospitality with that kind of attitude. While I understand that restaurants can be fast-paced and stressful, basic professionalism and respect should still be expected. I hope this issue is addressed to ensure better service for future guests. Although the food was delicious based on the service I will never come back or recommend this place when traveling. read more
