This place is a hidden gem! The food is always delish! Great service and the food came out quickly! You can be in and out during a lunch break.

Delicious food, great lunch specials . I have the Cuban sandwich and I loved every bite. My boyfriend had Ropa Viejo and loved the flavors. Our service was good and the restaurant was bustling. We already want to go back!

It was OK, nothing spectacular. I ordered the Pollo cuban sandwich and it was fine but nothing special. I would've preferred that it had more veggies come with it. The rice was OK as well. I think I would not come back based on the extremely high prices. My jaw almost dropped when I saw that tacos were almost $20 and many of the dishes were the exact same. I think that they are probably charging that much based on location of it being near Marietta Square, but I would not be back based on the prices and the food wasn't anything amazing. Their service was pretty good though.

Quality in every bite. I had the Authentic Cuban which was absolutely delicious with yellow rice and black beans. My husband has Celiac syndrome and they can make most items entirely without gluten with few exceptions (obviously no empanadas). He had the Palomilla Steak with yellow rice, beans and plantains. That was also delicious, beautifully seasoned and ample portions. The drinks are generous. Definitely have the Flan for dessert with a neat Lo Siento Caliente Cinnamon shot to sip.

This is a perfect little dive, tucked back in Marietta. I was craving Cuban food and thought I'd give this place a try. Oddly, I couldn't find a menu when I got in there. Since I knew I already wanted the lunch special (thanks Yelpers!), I didn't ask to see if they had paper ones. I was late in the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. I just made the lunch special cut off at 2:59. Tuesday special was generous portion of juicy and flavorful, pulled pork, black beans, plantains and rice. At first, I was a little skeptical for a lunch special to be $11 especially because yelp said it was $8.50. I understand costs have gone up though, and it was still very delicious. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. It appears to be a family run place. The mom caught me on my way out and thanked me for coming. It was a nice touch. The restaurant was clean and open with tables inside and out. I think I'd like this gem again when I have more time to peruse the menu.

Great Cuban sandwich and the black beans were flavorful. My picky son enjoyed the steak tacos and Jarritos

I love this place. It's a piece of home. But I don't feel like making a mess in my kitchen and I need a touch of Cuban food. I come here. You can sit inside or outdoors and still have a great time.

Good for a Cuban sandwich fix for sure. Need to try more dishes for full review. Mojito was strong and lacked flavor.

Lechon asado had great flavor and they accommodated me by giving me extra onions. Maduros were delicious. Boiled yuca may have been the best that I have had in Atlanta. Despite it being a…read morebit farther than our typical distance threshold, we decided to take our son and my in-laws out for a good Cuban lunch last weekend, and thankfully it did not disappoint. As a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami and married to a Cuban man, I am happy to report that Cuban Diner is the real deal. This is authentic Cuban food that is as good as the Cuban food easily found all over Miami. We started with croquetas and mariquitas. I ordered the bistec empanizado, hubby ordered the vaca frita, my son ordered the ropa vieja, my MIL orders the palomilla, and my FIL ordered a papa rellena and tamal along with a natural guava juice. We all shared bites of our plates with each other and everyone agreed that everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the vaca frita, so I stole a good bit from hubby and I also loved my FIL's guava juice. Service was good, but we got there shortly after opening so we had the place to ourselves. We noticed as it got busier, service definitely slowed considerably, but there was only one server for the whole place and one more handling to go orders. The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!

For my late lunch I selected the tostones, which was listed as a shareable item. It came with a choice of meat toppings and I selected ropa viejo. Mariana shared two different options for preparation and opted for the grilled with onions. I was given a buzzer to notify when ready. My lunch date, a friend from PTA days who was visiting had selected this location due to her liking of another food court vendor. Definitely options for everyone in your group! Her food order was ready for pickup as I waited for mine to be prepared. We selected seating inside, as outside was also an option. My wait was short and pleasantly surprised by the large portions received. The tostones were large and plentiful! Had ample to share and take home. Everything was hot, fresh and meat well marinated with spices and onions. The accompanying sauce was an aioli that lacked a bit in flavor, and really not needed due to flavorful food. I believe it was for dipping plantain and mixed nicely with a spicy sauce Mariana suggested. I will definitely return again! Only caveat was parking. Ample space when I went, but confusing. The row closest to entry had paid parking signage, and the row closest to street had 2 hour parking with no apparent fees. Upon exit, some cars had tickets and several people were pondering why. May have exceeded the allotted time, so be mindful when parking. Overall, a good alternative to the eateries on the square.

We decided to stop by for lunch and we were the only customers there. The restaurant seems to have taken on some Caribbean flair, with a photo area adorned with fake flowers, a bar that was barely stocked, a DJ area without a real dance floor and ViP area that if you have a mobile disability you probably won't be able to get to. The manager on duty was Cassandra and she was very nice and the music playing was very tropical. The ambiance was nice, then we were given the menus. The word Havana implies that it would have traditional Cuban foods, not sure if they consulted a Cuban or even competent Caribbean chef. Perhaps the drinks are good but I will the food left much to be desired. My husband ordered the nachos and the chips were store bought and extremely salty, combine with the canned cheese and the unseasoned meat it was not very good at all. In fact my husband took three bites and he couldn't eat anymore. It was beyond salty and inedible. My daughter ordered the empanadas. On the menu pictured it says empanadas, hence leading one to believe that it would be more than one. However, the empanadas meant one and somehow or another, you the customer are left to figure this out when one empanada arrives on a bed of Lettuce. She also ordered the steak tostones cups which were overpowered with the guacamole. My daughter loves guacamole but the ratio guacamole to steak was too much and the two half strips of steak were not enough to balance out the flavor. I had the hibachi, the steak arrived so badly burnt that it curled up and the charred pieces of steak were inedible. The vegetables surrounding the little bowl of burnt rice were ok so I happily ate that. My husband who never complains asked our very sweet waitress if she could get the manager. After he went through the issues with the food, she was extremely open to the issues and explained they are in the process of tweaking some things. I expressed I would happily pay for the veggies that I ate and the empanada that my daughter ate and the tostones as she ate two of the three sharing the second. The manager then took our full plates away. We were a little taken aback to get the bill of 50% off when we hadn't taken three full bites of the inedible food. I wish this business success however, maybe the chef is new as well. We will not be returning to eat, perhaps the drinks are good because the ambiance seems nice and the music was amazing.
