Great service from Mariana at this location of D' Cuban Cafe. Located near the Marietta Square inside the Marietta Square Market, D'Cuban offered a variety of Latin dishes in a food court setting including a central bar surrounded by Cajun, vegan, Asian, Italian and burgers among others including bubble teas. For my late lunch I selected the tostones, which was listed as a shareable item. It came with a choice of meat toppings and I selected ropa viejo. Mariana shared two different options for preparation and opted for the grilled with onions. I was given a buzzer to notify when ready. My lunch date, a friend from PTA days who was visiting had selected this location due to her liking of another food court vendor. Definitely options for everyone in your group! Her food order was ready for pickup as I waited for mine to be prepared. We selected seating inside, as outside was also an option. My wait was short and pleasantly surprised by the large portions received. The tostones were large and plentiful! Had ample to share and take home. Everything was hot, fresh and meat well marinated with spices and onions. The accompanying sauce was an aioli that lacked a bit in flavor, and really not needed due to flavorful food. I believe it was for dipping plantain and mixed nicely with a spicy sauce Mariana suggested. I will definitely return again! Only caveat was parking. Ample space when I went, but confusing. The row closest to entry had paid parking signage, and the row closest to street had 2 hour parking with no apparent fees. Upon exit, some cars had tickets and several people were pondering why. This is a gem in the Marietta Market! The Cuban is just amazing. So many flavors!! It's hard for me not to get it every time I'm at the Marietta Market. Beef empanadas and ice cafe con leche - need I say more?! We visited during a busy Saturday and it was also raining so the food hall was extra packed. The wait wasn't too bad at D'Cuban. We tried out the Turkey Cuban sandwich with white rice and black beans, 1 beef and 1 cheese empanada and the iced cafe con leche. Everything was good! But those beef empanadas - whoa - I will be back for those! I really enjoyed the iced cafe con leche but wished it was a bit sweeter so we asked for more sugar and they gave us brown sugar. Another after practice meal! D'Cuban is located inside Marietta Food Hall. It's easy to spot as you enter on the right hand side by the bbq spot and bubble tea. Marietta Food Hall has lots of free parking and paid lots. I been here a few times. Love the variety of meal choices going here. Rarely do I have trouble parking or finding something to eat. I decided to use the Marietta Food Hall app to find a place for food for after practice. We had to stay to work tournament and wanted something good to eat. Sometimes you want quick but not fast food. D'Cuban was perfect choice. I got chicken and pork so we both could have something. I know we would be okay with either option. Food was ready when I arrived. I showed up a little early. Food was on warmer to stay hot. Everything we needed was in the bag. My son took chicken since he tried pork before. Let me say both bowls had some weight to them. You get a good portion size of food for price. Very affordable prices! I took the pork since that was left. I don't recall names of the sauces. This place is inside Marietta Square Market, and it is a small order and pick up spot. After you place your order you get a buzzer and can sit anywhere in the market since there is no seating area in front of them. The girl at the register was nice and after about 10 minutes our buzzer went off to go pick up the food. The food was good not the best but a good lunch spot. After doing two full laps around Marietta Square Market, I finally pulled the trigger and stopped at D'Cuban Cafe, as the display case full of plantain chips and empanadas was just too much to resist! I am a lover of empanadas, so naturally I got two - Ordered (1) Beef and (1) Chicken, but sadly only received (2) beef. I wasn't too upset, because the beef empanadas were packed with perfectly seasoned beef along with soft cubed potatoes. They give you a couple of sauces to go along with, the green sauce which is milder and cool to the taste was my favorite, but if you are looking for a little heat, the red sauce has you covered! It is a spicy sauce that is packed full of flavor and heat. I actually preferred the ole double dip to get the best of both worlds! On the side, I opted for the fried tostones! These babies are cooked to order, which means fresh, hot, crispy and seasoned to perfection! In addition to the food being of solid quality, the prices were excellent - especially for a food hall! All the items I got were priced at $2.95 each! They have more substantial dishes such as sandwiches and bowls, all coming in around $8.95. I definitely feel for the quality and portion, the price is definitely on the good side! Overall, I am a fan of D'Cuban! My only "gripe", outside of not getting my chicken empanada, was upon my ordering, they went ahead and pulled my empanadas out of the warming case, placed them on the tray while the tostones were prepared, which took about 4 minutes. Not a huge impact, but it definitely took some heat and freshness away from the empanadas. I tried a few restaurants in Marietta Square Market at once, but I was most excited about D'Cuban. I first heard about the location in Norcross and how it's blown up in opening multiple locations. I got an iced Cafe con Leche and it was delicious. I sipped on it while I waited for my food. It only made my expectations that much higher. Super strong and creamy from the milk. The beef empanada was SO good. I wish I had gotten 2. Super savory and meaty. The filling is chock full of meat and potatoes. Not a fan of the guava and cheese Pastelito. It was a bit dry and the cheese/guava was just not for me. The cheese was solid, which made it hard to eat. The guava was fine, and so was the pastry itself. It would definitely have been better if it had been heated up. Overall, I'm down to come back for the empanadas and the iced cafe con Leche. Based on the dry Cuban sandwich I tried, I probably won't be eating that again anytime soon. read more

I'll start with the guava pastelito's, they were amazing! The crust and dough were absolutely perfect. However, I wish they hadn't skimped on the guava filling. As for the food, we ordered a ropa vieja bowl and a vaca frita plate. We were told the plate comes with more food, but I have to disagree... it just came with more chicken. There was barely enough rice to balance out all that chicken! So I'd recommend going with the bowls instead, as they're plenty big and come with more rice. Both bowls were delicious and definitely satisfied our craving for Cuban food. One thing that stood out is that both the ropa vieja and vaca frita were made with chicken, which was surprising since those dishes traditionally use beef. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. Aside from that, I'd still recommend this place. Luckily got a seat outside and could only finish half the meal, but as soon as I got home, I heated it back up and finished it :) The woman behind the counter was very helpful and had a mask. So, I felt like I had to try this place's Cuban to compare. Food and drinks are phenomenal. My one critique would be the sandwiches need a little more pork on them, but it's hard to complain when the prices was 8 bucks with a side. I only ordered a Cafe con leche here so my review will be short and sweet. The service was great! Greeted with a smile and lots of energy. Most cafes that offer a cafe con leche just put that on there to show that their coffee is cultured. That is not the case for D'Cuban! A lot of you are probably asking what the difference is from a cafe con leche from any regular coffee, latte, machiatto, etc. Cafe con lecha should be small. It's equal parts shots of espresso to their dairy so one shot of milk in my case. A latte will have 1 part espresso and 3 parts milk. Once I saw my cup, I instantly knew this was going to be a traditional cafe con leche rather than just the name. The taste... It's very hard to mess up an espresso. It's easy to mess up a portion to portion mixed beverage. D'Cuban gets my approval of good coffee! read more

Decided to visit the Marietta Square Market with some coworkers for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Parking wasn't bad as we easily found a spot up front. We did arrive fairly early around 11:30am, to just miss the busy lunch crowd. I chose to get the lunch special bowl from D'Cuban and got my food very quickly! I think the meats and other toppings within the bowl are already pre made. I went with the roasted pork instead of the beef and it was delicious. I also loved the maduros (sweetened plantains) included. The food portion of the bowl was a little lacking though, I wish they gave more meat and rice. D'Cuban is a solid choice at MSM. Came in on a Saturday afternoon. The Food Hall was packed as usual. After walking around, I stopped at this place because I was in the mood for something more homestyle-ish rather than fast-food type. I ordered the arroz con Pollo bowl with avocado and black beans. It was delicious and flavorful and didn't make me feel heavy after eating it. They give you a lot so I had leftovers. I also had 2 beef empanadas that I ate like 2 days later and it was still great after popping it in the oven. Loved the side of sauce they give you for the empanadas also.
