    Cylantro's Sampler

I'm such a creature of habit. I was nervous to try Venezuelan food (only because i know nothing about it) but upon entry the women there are very welcoming friendly and just high energy! One of the ladies recommended Cylantros sampler! Food came out fast! The empanada was cheesy and flavorful the beef aripa was my absolute favorite then the vegetarian one with black beans very high in flavor. The chicken aripa lacked seasoning but the chicken was juicy. All in all it gave very home style ambience and food! I'll be back for sure!

Excellent restaurant we love going here. They have so many good food options. I highly recommend it. Great customer service good food quality, comfortable environment. If you'd like Venezuelan food, this is the best and Kennesaw.

I got the number one (the catira) and it was just OK. It's shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato. None of the flavors were outstanding to me. I like my areapas to be a bit sweeter than this so I wasn't a huge fan, but it also wasn't a terrible dish either. I don't know if I would feel compelled to come back.

I Came in with a friend who is Venezuelan to try out the food. Came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. There is ample seating but when it's busy it could be hard to find a table. I had the pabellon, which is shredded beef, rice, plantains, and black beans. Everything was very flavorful, the beef was good, and the plantains were cooked perfectly (little secret, the idea is to get a bite of all the ingredients together to really appreciate the flavor of the meal). I also had the stuffed arepa with cheese, meat and other ingredients. Really good arepas here, which is HUGELY important to experience Venezuelan cuisine. This is a walk up counter service so don't expect tabke service but the staff is (mostly) Venezuelan and they are polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Place was clean and food was very good and made relatively quickly. Definitely recommend!

I had passed Cylantros a bunch of times and made a mental note to eat here, it's Venezuelan food which I was excited to try because I had never had it before. I ordered the sampler to be able to try a little bit of everything. Unfortunately I wasn't super impressed. The best part of the meal was the empanada it was sensational. In regards to the sandwich's they were all just okay. Honestly all I could taste when eating the sandwiches was the cheese...there was ALOT of cheese. Like I said I've never had Venezuelan food before so I don't really have anything to compare it to. Hopefully this was helpful, you're welcome!

First time customer but I will certainly be back! The beef and plantain arepa was one of the best things I've ever eaten in life. The lady who took my order was nice and the food came out hot. I also had a chorizo taco and churros. 10/10 and yall will see me again soon!

I was really disappointed because this used to be my go-to place and so being back in town I wanted to introduce my sister to it. The sauces and fillings are still pretty good... plus the chicha! But when I pay $13 for an arepa, I would expect it to be made to order or at least day of. Our arepas looked more like burnt multigrain hamburger buns than arepas. I am not sure if it was because it was the end of the night (although we ordered for pick-up an hour before closing) but the arepas that we received looked like they had been made ahead of time and frozen and then just heated up on the grill.

Some of the best little tacos that I have ever had it my life! The 99 cent tacos are super small. You can finish one in two bites. Ordered the steak, shrimp and pastor small tacos. All are filled with cilantro and onions. 1. The pastor taco was my favorite out of the three. The meat was super tender, flavorful with a hint of spice. Wish that I ordered two more. This might be my favorite taco ever...and I always do Taco Tuesday! 2. The shrimp taco was next. The shrimp was really good; not over cooked. And seasoned pretty good. 3. The steak taco was my least favorite, but still not bad. The steak was cooked well done; I prefer medium rare. But still an overall good taco. There is also a special light green sauce that came with the tacos that was super flavorful and complemented each one. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Make sure to order the large tacos or several small tacos.

My god that was great. I mean great. We had the sampler and extra empanadas. We ended up buying more food to take to family members for them to try. This food scratched and itch I didn't know I had. I will make the hour plus drive over there again. I can't think of anything on that menu I wouldn't eat twice. This is so different and delicious.

They have always been professional and accommodating . They were willing to make me another sandwich after I ordered the wrong one. It was kind of a lot, but that's also due to the menu, which took me awhile to decide on what to eat. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had questions, and he answered to the best of his abilities. He also brought out chips and sauces while we were looking through the menu and described each sauce. We liked the jalapeno and garlic ones the most! The arepa tour was a nice way to try different flavors without having to commit to one choice. The arepas tasted good, though I definitely preferred some over others. If you are not a savory and sweet enjoyer, I would not recommend Pabellon as you can taste the fried plantain in each bite. I liked it, but my friend found it an odd combination. I wasn't the biggest fan of shredded chicken, but that's bc it's typically dry, and while this wasn't super dry, it wasn't exactly as flavorful as the other options. For the main course, the asado negro sounded right up my alley as the arepa version went into detail with how the beef is braised in red wine and sugar cane. It left much to be desired when I ordered the big plate non-arepa version. Just off looks, it wasn't as visually appealing as others' dishes were. Eating it... well, the meat was very, very dry. The sauce was fine, but it didn't help with the dryness of the meat. I most likely ordered wrong since everything else was great. I got quesillo for dessert, which was described as flan, and I found it pretty good. Thicker than I'm used to and not as smooth but with a lovely cinnamon flavor.
