    Chips and salsa

We randomly stopped in to this restaurant and it was overall nice. Food was super reasonably priced ( average combo dish was about $10.75). We went on a Tuesday and it was pretty quiet. They had a great drink special for $3.75 draft beer. Food was good we got veggie fajitas, cheese enchiladas, and the Burrito Mexicana. Chips were served hot and fresh. The service was quick since it was quiet.

I stopped in to grab some lunch and the specials are until 3pm. The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious and the salsa was very flavorful. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, lunch portion, and it was huge! The shrimp were large and tasted great. The peppers and onions were cooked to perfection. The refried beans were creamy, and wonderful. I ordered a side of lettuce and sour cream but really didn't need it because everything was tasty. The restaurant has plenty of seating with lots of decor. The staff were wonderful and extremely kind. The kitchen chefs were beyond fast! This is a great place so come check it out!

One star is too many! None of the food tasted mexican, there were no spices, no chilies, no cumin, no cilantro, no fresh onion, no salt!!!! Spices cost nothing, yet this place chooses to not cook with flavor or care. The positive reviews are really hard to believe. The meat is not grilled like the menu describes but rather pan cooked or boiled, it's chewy reheated dry meat of some sort. The inside of this burrito is refrigerator cold yet it is served on a hot plate. The rice inside this burrito is cold, none of it's contents were freshly cooked. The burrito tortilla was straight out of a package, no even reheated on a flat top, nothing! There is no effort from that kitchen whatsoever. The chicken in the taco was like eating dried out straw. I left that burrito, we paid, we left, never to return!

This past weekend, my business partner and I were back in Atlanta for a training. Arriving on Friday night, we were tired and hungry. She decided to take a chance and try this small restaurant - are we glad we did. While I had very little appetite and just ordered a cheese quesadilla (which was super yummy), she got one of their Friday night specially-priced margaritas and that larger than life burrito. It had everything in it: cheese, chicken, sautéed peppers/onions, guacamole, etc., and topped with plenty of queso. She couldn't even finish it ... lol We highly recommend this place because it was crowded with older and young folks. Now we understand why. Try it if you're in the area

I have to say.... I am very picky person when it comes to my Mexican... I went here for first time to go order... 3 hard beef tacos (please make sure they have meat in them)... double rice order... and Flan... chips and salsa. It was absolutely fantastic... ! Pleasantly surprised and will be back Absolutely perfect again..! Thx guys for being there..!

A friend from work suggested that we meet up here after work for drinks.... So we did. We ended up meeting around 6 ish, at first we asked to be seated on the outside patio, then later decided to move to the inside because of the windy conditions. Our waiter was an older gentleman with a very sarcastic sense of humor( that I did not find amusing at all ). He brought out salsa and chips and then took our drink orders. I ordered the first pitcher of frozen texas margarita and when asked about having salt on the rims of the glasses, for some reason I said, "both" then changed it and asked for one with sugar and one with salt and his response was, "you said both, so it's not both"( I mean seriously dude -lol ). The drinks were really strong ( I'm not complaining about that at all -lol -IJS ). After the rest of my friends arrived, we ordered another pitcher, but strawberry this time , he brought out only one frozen strawberry drink, my friend didn't say anything she just ordered another pitcher, she even mentioned that he wasn't very friendly. I ordered the three grilled taco plate , I was a little disappointed to know that it only came with refried beans and pico de gallo ( Im use to also having mexican rice included ). The food was just Ok, I don't think I will be making any special trips. I will say they have some really good cheese dip but I'm not too fond of the the chips, decent salsa ..... Viva Mexico has me spoiled -lol..... I guess all and all we came to eat, relax, get a few drinks and we did. The restaurant has decent seating, and decent restrooms, nothing fancy. It's located in a shopping center off Barrett Parkway... Look for Bed Bath & Beyond and continue on around and you will run into it next to a hobby store.

Suppose to be a shredded beef Taquito. It came with more onions than meat, and also no cheese. Meat was not seasoned.

Best Mexican food in the area by far. I ordered the enchiladas with rice and beans and it was great. Service was quick and friendly.

Very solid Mexican food at a good price. I had the chile relleno, burrito, and taco combination. The real star was the chile relleno!

Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

Chips and salsa were good -- the salsa was really tasty! We added a small cheese dip, almost $7 for a small serving "bowl". Liked it but for that price, maybe a larger portion would be good? We ordered the steak fajitas to split. Portion was nice for two of us, able to make about 5 with the items. Homemade flour tortillas were nice. The refried beans were a bit bland and we don't each much rice. Overall slightly under 4 stars, maybe 3.8. Staff were a bonus!

The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. As we walked to the hostess stand we noticed a sign stating they lost their liquor license. This was a massive let down as I was excited for a margarita. We almost left but decided to give it a shot. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good. Prepared well and full of flavor. Nice size portion. Unfortunately the lack of service and margaritas really makes it tough to return. Follow me on IG: danny_runsforbeer

We came for Tex-Mex. We left forever changed…read more We entered Chuy's in Kennesaw as a family, unaware that fate had already taken our table and was polishing our glasses. That's when our server - McLovin' - appeared. Not rushed, not flustered, but steady. Assured. A man who knows where the ranch jalapeno dip was and wasn't afraid to use that power. He placed our waters down gently but with purpose. Cold. Clear. Limitless. From that moment on, we trusted him... with everything. The King's Memorial combos arrived like a vow. Enchiladas layered in sauce, rich and unapologetic, as if they had been simmering while thinking about us specifically. Each bite wrapped itself around my expectations and whispered, "You're not leaving the same." My wife and I locked eyes across the table -- the look married people give each other when something very right is happening, and there's no need to narrate it. Then came the burrito. My son's "Big As Yo Face" steak burrito didn't just arrive -- it claimed territory. Massive. Confident. Wrapped tight like it knew its own worth. McLovin' presented it without fear, without commentary, because when something is that powerful, words only get in the way. Throughout the meal, McLovin' moved like a man guided by instinct alone. Our waters refilled before thirst could even form the thought. Chips refilled at the precise moment emotional closure was achieved. He never hovered. He never vanished. He existed in that rare, perfect space between presence and mystery. We didn't order the always-delicious Margaritas. They weren't required. Ours was a sober, fully conscious awakening. When the meal ended, we sat there for a moment. Quiet. Changed. Hydrated. And satisfied beyond reason. We paid the bill reluctantly, knowing some experiences can't be relived -- only honored by returning. Chuy's served food. McLovin' served destiny. We will be back.

The order included chicken and beef enchiladas with refried beans. While eating, I discovered a foreign object that appeared to be a balled-up napkin or paper material embedded inside the refried beans, completely concealed by the food. This was not visible until I had already begun eating. My children and my friend also consumed food from the same order before the issue was discovered. This experience was extremely upsetting and has caused me ongoing anxiety about eating out, especially when ordering food for my children or sharing meals with others. Finding a foreign object inside prepared food is alarming and raises serious concerns about food handling and safety. I am posting this review to make others aware and to encourage better food safety practices at this location. I hope management takes this seriously so another family or customer does not experience the same situation.
