Quesadilla
Dan M.

Was excited to see this place as I just moved into the area. Had stopped by on a walk the week prior and was hooked. Big place but had a local ethnic vibe that screamed "good food and low prices". Finally made it in but wasn't too hungry. Grabbed a bean and cheese quesadilla with a beer. Excited to see they had negro Modelo. The food was decent and included a very good hot sauce. But paying over $9 for a regular size tortilla with refried beans didn't sit right with me. Very disappointed as I was trying to support my local businesses but not a great deal on pricing.

Lots of seating

Service was incredible, if you're a first time customer they give you a fresh handmade corn tortilla to try, they also break down the menu for you and let you know about the types of meat they have. Tons of seating and multiple televisions playing movies and shows. Ambiance is lively with music going as well. The food was great, flavorful with sides and salsas. Definitely recommend stopping by for the hand made tortillas alone!

I drove all the way here because this place had five stars! This place did not disappoint. I tried the Menudo for the first time here and let me tell you it was very delicious! I felt like I was back in Mexico, eating at my grandma's house. I like to eat my Menudo with the lime, onions, cilantro, cabbage, and of course you cannot forget the radish. All those flavors mixed together really brought out the flavor!

Campechana & Birria tacos

Authentic Mexican with friendly service. My fav is the campechana. Their green and red hot sauce are excellent and take the taste to the next level.

WOW! Can't believe it took us this long to try Tacos Del Chavo and it's our new favorite Mexican restaurant! I found it on Yelp as the highest rated restaurant in the area. We ordered at the bar and they brought the food and drinks to our table. They don't have a drink menu to look at, but they serve beer and margaritas (one flavor). My husband said his birria taco (with homemade flour tortilla) was quite honestly the best taco he's ever eaten! He ended up ordering 3 more to bring home for dinner tonight . It's really cute inside! The staff is SUPER friendly. Plenty of parking! We can't wait to go back!

Steak Tacos Mexican

Home made tortillas will always be a win in my book!!! I ordered three steak tacos (Mexican style). The tortillas were fresh and hot the steak was flavorful but cold. I asked for the hottest salsa and let's just say they definitely lacked the punch of heat i was craving. So in replace i ordered some grilled jalapeños and OMG after i added a little salt i devoured them with my tacos! I will definitely attempt to eat here again in hopes of some hot meat and i want to try the tamales.

Big menu, love the board with pics of all the items! So helpful if it's your first time there. The sope was my fave; everything we had was freshly made and delicious. The place is not fancy but so cute! Great decorations for Valentines Day! Would come back again.

Food: 2/2 Service:2/2 Ambiance: 1/1 My hubby and I are foodies! But, we have our favorites that we stick too! We decided to challenge ourselves to trying 4 new restaurants before we went back to one of our favs! So we decided to visit this spot! Well guess what, this place is going to be one of favs! OMG! The tacos are super delicious and tasty!! Their corn tortillas are made in house!!! Yes, we will definitely be back!

Service was excited! I came because I wanted fajitas, but when I arrived, fajitas weren't on the menu. The guy taking my order walked me through items they had that would be close to fajitas, so I went with that. The food was hot and flavorful. I really enjoyed it. The restaurant had plenty of seating, and had loud (but not too loud) music creating a lively ambiance.

Melon Horchata Mix

Always good food and an awesome vibe, but if I were to recommend something to try it would have to be the Melon Horchata mix to drink with your meal. To die for!

When you want tacos you want them to be good you want them to be authentic and you want to get your money's worth. Well then look no further! There's a reason they are considered the best Tacos in the State! This place is incredible from the tacos to the gorditas and everything in between, this is where you want to go for Great Tacos. Inside the restaurant it's like a little slice of Mexico, nestled into Kennesaw. The Service is always great and the food comes out quick. This is my go to Taco place and it should be yours as well!

Restaurant entrance

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food prepared fresh daily, you NEED to try the food at this restaurant. Located in a nondescript strip shopping center, it looks small as you approach the entrance but once inside it is large and provides both carry out and inside dining. You order at a station adjacent to the bar. Once your order is placed, you sit at your choice of one of the numerous picnic tables or the booths lining two walls. There is no outdoor seating. The server who took our order, Andy, was super helpful and explained to my better half which items were gluten-free. Andy stated that they prepare the masa and corn flour for their tortillas in-house and that these ingredients did not contain flour. After preparing your order, the food is delivered to you at your table. The service is amazing, super helpful, and very friendly and outgoing. They offer numerous traditional Mexican dishes and entrees that you need to try. If you desire authentic Mexican fare, try the GREAT food at this restaurant as soon as possible!

The chips are crispy and the salsa tasty, not hot and spicy. Husband ordered a shrimp taco salad. "These are tiny shrimp!" I had a trip of tostadas. One chicken, beef and pork. Each one was so tasty and flavorful! We found Zama on Yelp. We traveling from Florida to home. It was our first visit, which Dylan asked about. At the end of our meal, the manager came over and greeted us and brought us a dessert to share. We will arrange our next road trip to Florida to include Zana again.

Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

We came for Tex-Mex. We left forever changed…read more We entered Chuy's in Kennesaw as a family, unaware that fate had already taken our table and was polishing our glasses. That's when our server - McLovin' - appeared. Not rushed, not flustered, but steady. Assured. A man who knows where the ranch jalapeno dip was and wasn't afraid to use that power. He placed our waters down gently but with purpose. Cold. Clear. Limitless. From that moment on, we trusted him... with everything. The King's Memorial combos arrived like a vow. Enchiladas layered in sauce, rich and unapologetic, as if they had been simmering while thinking about us specifically. Each bite wrapped itself around my expectations and whispered, "You're not leaving the same." My wife and I locked eyes across the table -- the look married people give each other when something very right is happening, and there's no need to narrate it. Then came the burrito. My son's "Big As Yo Face" steak burrito didn't just arrive -- it claimed territory. Massive. Confident. Wrapped tight like it knew its own worth. McLovin' presented it without fear, without commentary, because when something is that powerful, words only get in the way. Throughout the meal, McLovin' moved like a man guided by instinct alone. Our waters refilled before thirst could even form the thought. Chips refilled at the precise moment emotional closure was achieved. He never hovered. He never vanished. He existed in that rare, perfect space between presence and mystery. We didn't order the always-delicious Margaritas. They weren't required. Ours was a sober, fully conscious awakening. When the meal ended, we sat there for a moment. Quiet. Changed. Hydrated. And satisfied beyond reason. We paid the bill reluctantly, knowing some experiences can't be relived -- only honored by returning. Chuy's served food. McLovin' served destiny. We will be back.

First sign something was off. Then we sit down and order food. The server, Constance, was pleasant and asks what we would like to drink and any appetizers, we tell her and ask for chips and jalapeno creamy sauce and queso. She stops us and says hold on let me get my notebook and write this down. Odd considering you asked us what we would like to drink and start with but whatever. We repeat it. Then we get our drinks, there's lime we didn't order/ask for. Again, whatever, we can pick it off. Then she puts the dips down but has her thumb in the dip. Then puts her thumb in the salsa to set it down. They're also over flowing and dripping everywhere. Food comes out and the refried beans don't have the cheese and they look super old. Rice is undercooked and the quesadillas have like no cheese in them. To the point where the chicken is falling out of it. They look like tacos almost. Constance was nice and attentive but food was subpar, not a fan of foreign fingers in my food and all in all just an amazingly below average trip. Totally understand why that location was dead and it really needs to have a standards check done.
