    Churros

This is a small Venezuelan restaurant in Doraville in a diverse shopping center with lots of food to try. Plenty of parking. You order at the counter, seat yourself, and the food is brought out to you. The staff was very friendly. Now about this food...delicious and filling! No complaints whatsoever. We ordered the Cachapa for with Venezuelan cheese Kid approved because my son had no complaints & loved the cheese. For myself I got the Reina Pepiada! This lil thing was so yummy and filling with chunks of mashed avocados. The chicken salad was super fresh! I want another just talking about it! They had a variety of sauces which I had 2 favorites, sriracha and avocado. Of course we had churros for dessert which were hot and ready to be devoured! Do yourself a favor and go eat here now!

Nice cheap spot for authentic Venezuelan food on Buford hwy! Arepa Grill gets pretty busy, but food comes out fast. We started with the arepa tour which came with an assortment of arepas. Out of the arepas I liked the reina pepiada the most but the pork ones were good too. We then had hot dogs to share which were stuffed with toppings. We ended with my favorite part of the meal which was the caramel and Nutella churros. Overall, I will def be back to Arepa Grill to try more of their arepas and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

I've been here twice and the food and drinks have been great! The first time I came I ordered the Cheese Cachapa, Arepa Tour and the Arepa Pabellon. All of which were hot, fresh and flavorful. You can tell the food is made to order. Second time around I ordered the Venezuelan Sampler and the Shredded Chicken Patacon, again both very good. The Sampler I would suggest more of as a shared appetizer because it's mostly fried starches stuffed with cheese. Not really meal worthy but great to share. Just an Fyi all the Patacon are served with a slice of ham (for the no pork folks), even if you decide to order a chicken or beef one, just ask prior to ordering. This is a smaller, very causal, restaurant inside of a strip mall. You place orders at the counter and someone will bring your food to the table. There is both indoor and outdoor seating but seats fill up quickly so be prepared to take food to go or eat in the car lol. Plenty of parking in the strip mall lot.

Everything was so delicious. We enjoyed the mixed plate we got and shared. It had so much food we took home another whole meal.

Great food, full of flavor. Everything was fresh & delicious. Efficient service. Cute decor inside. Limited seating, but ample parking in a shared parking lot. Will definitely come back to try some other things on their menu.

Outside. Arepa Grill is located at busy Plaza Fiesta on Buford Highway. Find them on the northwest corner of the building.

I discovered Arepa Grill when I searched for a new restaurant to try on Buford Highway. Service was a little slow, but the food did not disappoint. It was the real deal. Venezuelan cuisine. The arepas I had here were some of the best, most filling, and delicious arepas I've had anywhere. The patacon sandwich and cachapa were terrific too. If you don't know what any of these are, they're described in more detail below. This isn't a full-fledged restaurant. It's a food stall inside popular and busy Plaza Fiesta (Hispanic shopping center). Unlike most food and beverage vendors at Plaza Fiesta, however, Arepa Grill also has a takeout window outside the building. You don't actually have to go inside to order. Arepa Grill is located on the northwest corner of Plaza Fiesta. It's easiest to get to if entering from Dresden Drive or Clairmont Road. There's plenty of parking, but you might have to park a little further away because Plaza Fiesta is often crowded. Arepa Grill is also situated next door to one of the mall's busy points, at one of the entrances/exits to the food court, playground, and event space. As far as on-site dining, the restaurant has three small tables for two inside (six seats total) and four tables outside on the patio, next to the takeout window. All the patio tables have retractable umbrellas. The patio has some planter boxes for decor and partitioning. Inside and out, the business has put some noticeable effort into making itself look polished and more presentable with modern-looking branding/signage along with contemporary furniture. There's more interior seating in the food court's common area dining room. I believe Arepa Grill opened sometime in early 2020. The first Yelp review was in February 2020. The business' Facebook page was created and first Instagram post was made in May 2020. Arepa Grill social media links: FB: https://www.facebook.com/ArepaGrillAtlanta/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/arepagrillatlanta/ I ordered takeout and here's what I got: Arepas - grilled white corn pockets with the below fillings * Arepa Pabellon ($7.99) - shredded beef, sweet plantains, black beans, and shredded white cheese * Arepa Reina Pepiada ($6.99) - shredded chicken, avocado, and mayonnaise * Patacon ($9.99) - fried plantain sandwich made with sweet plantains, coleslaw, ham, cheese, mayo, ketchup, avocado sauce, and a mix of shredded beef and chicken * Cachapa ($8.99) - corn pancake made with maize kernels, water, and milk, flat-griddled, with shredded cheese and cream, white cheese inside, and a side of whipped butter The arepas were outstanding. One of my friends asked me how Arepa Grill compares to Arepa Mia (https://bit.ly/39kHRYo). I told her Arepa Mia is good, Arepa Grill is great. While you can't go wrong with either, I found the arepas from Arepa Grill to be the biggest and tastiest I've had yet. They were fresh and packed with lots of flavor (more flavor than Arepa Mia). Where Arepa Mia wins is with the dine-in experience because Arepa Mia actually has a proper dining room. I loved everything about the arepas. Even the grilled ground maize dough by itself was delicious. The Arepa Pabellon and the Arepa Reina Pepiada were very different, but equally gratifying. The Arepa Pabellon was dense, meaty, heavy, and hearty. These were like sandwiches or - better comparisons - gorditas or pita pockets. Despite being generously-stuffed with ingredients, each arepa held up well. One Arepa Pabellon will serve you well as a meal. The Arepa Reina Pepiada was outstanding. It was perhaps my single all-time favorite arepa to date. Soft, ripe avocado. Tender, creamy chicken. It tasted like a delectable Venezuelan chicken salad. I couldn't stop eating it. It was really, really good. You can customize the Patacon a few different ways. First, you have the option to get it with either fried green plantains or sweet plantains (I chose the latter). Second, your meat options are shredded beef, chicken, or both. Getting a mix of both isn't mentioned on the menu, but my server, Luis, told me it was an option, so that's what I got. Like the Arepa Pabellon, the Patacon was dense and filling. It put me into a food coma. It was also a thing of beauty. It's called a "sandwich" on the menu, but you're better off attacking it with a fork and knife. It's more like a plated entree. The Cachapa was phenomenal. They have a few Cachapa options. I went with Luis' recommendation of a cheese Cachapa (I already had enough meat from the above items). These are accurately described on the menu as "Venezuelan corn pancakes." They almost tasted like a savory dessert. The pancakes had extremely appetizing texture and with all the butter, cheese (white, light, mild), and cream, well, it's hard not to like. I highly recommend it, along with the other three items above. I placed my order on a Sunday at 12:48 PM. Employee Vanessa H called me at 1:15 PM to tell me my order was ready, so there was a bit of a wait. It was busy.

You jealous.....if you're not eating like this then you should be. I'm about to start walking around and slapping people's food on the floor. Like, "WTF are you feeding yourself?!!" I was depressed when the Arepa Mia close to our home closed. Then we discovered Arepa Grill. I love this place so much I came 2 days in a row. You can tell the arepas are made fresh from scratch. Absolutely delicious! The aguas (waters/drinks) are too! I love the mora (blackberry) and the sugar cane lemonade. The restaurant is small with limited seating, but no worries. You can go eat in the common area of the mall where there is plenty of seating. I also like a little spice. Venezuelans aren't big on spice, so we grab some salsas to go from a nearby restaurant. I highly recommend this place. They have 2 locations. One in Plaza Fiesta and one in Doraville. I go to the one in Plaza Fiesta. Go get you some.

Well, we read an article about this little place in Fiesta Plaza on Buford Hwy and it sounded wonderful. Today we finally arrived (didn't want to go on the weekend because we have read they are very busy) at this little gem. We ordered way too much food and almost ordered more. We ordered: - Tequenos: They were just as I had remember some 45 years ago while visiting Venezuela. The cheese was encased in a very light dough and deep fried. At $1 a piece you can't go wrong. - Empanada de Pabellon: I had never had an empanada with anything other than either cheese or shredded beef, onions and cheese. The Empanada de Pabellon cost $3.99 and was huge while others at other arepa places are about a third of the size as Arepa Grill and twice the cost. The empanada was the best we have ever had. It was filled with shredded beef, sweet plantains, black beans and white cheese. They wrapped them perfectly to go. This empanada was the least greasy of any we have ever had. - Black Vegan Arepa. The arepa was perfectly cooked. A mixture of black beans, sweet plantains and avocado. Again this was a monster. Huge and delicious. Oh, and I added white cheese and that was no problem what so ever. - The Sauces: A green avocado sauce that was outstanding. A red sauce that had a little tiny hint of heat (I could have used more) however it was tasty. And a white sauce which had somewhat of a horseradish taste with a lot of garlic. All were tasty and only made the perfect food even better. Service at Arepa Grill was outstanding. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare the food but who cares when it turns out so fresh and perfect. I loved being to order individual pieces, at reasonable prices. A better way to get more tastes! We can't wait to return and try other treats. Also excited for another location to open down the road in June.

To be honest, I could not tell you what exactly I ate other than it was all delicious! Definitely super filling and a bang for your buck. My friend ordered and he picked a good variety of everything to try and nothing missed the mark. We even got churros at the end but had to force ourselves through how full we are. Definitely some of the best churros in the city though!

Last week after years of planning to go I finally made it to @arepagrillatlanta on @welovebuhi. I first had arepas at a Venezuelan friend's house when his mom prepped the filling and the actual arepa for us and I throughly enjoyed it but sadly I hadn't had one after that until we went here. It's hard to believe it's been 5 years but man was it worth the wait - let's break down why: 1. The arepa: arepas are like little buns made of ground corn, pan fried these are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. 2. The meat: I had my arepa filled with shredded chicken, it was juicy and super flavorful 3. The cheese: topped with shredded Gouda (wasn't expecting that in a Hispanic dish) complemented perfectly with the chicken Bonus: the gentlemen who took our order (probably the owner) was so passionate about the food and explained different items on the menu. I'm going to be back at Arepa Grill soon to try some new things!!!

Amazing. I absolutely recommend the XL beef burger (comes with fresh fries) and the chicha drink for two people. The burger was stacked with bacon, egg, tomato, you name it- it was just incredible. The chicken arepa was also very tender and juicy, but after the burger and drink, I was so full! This is located inside a plaza, and there's only two tables for dine-in, but the staff was so friendly. I want to return back for sure!!

Got the Reina pepiada and the la llanera for arepas and both were DELICIOUS. The steak was very juicy and yummy and portion sizes were generous. Also got the tequeguava for some dessert and it definitely hit the spot. Really enjoyed the sauces they gave out with the food as well! The staff and owner were very friendly. Definitely coming back!

Visited March 6 2020 Circling and walking through Plaza fiesta and wanting lunch, the unassuming Arepa Grill (Venezuelan eats) came to view and there was one 5 star review that gushed on and on about it. I'm glad I followed the advice of that review because I went in to see what they were all about (Thanks Denise D!). If you're not careful when you're inside of Plaza fiesta, you'll walk right past Arepa Grill, which is tucked away in a little walkway with just a couple of tables. There is a dedicated restaurant however, but wherever you decide to sit, just go here. After getting suggestions from staff, I decided on the following: Patacones Maduro Carne ($7.99) From the moment the plate hit the table, I was blown away by the colors and size of the dish. Crispy plantain slices were used as the 'bread' of this sandwich, and it was stuffed with layers of cheese, pork and sauces. Every bite of this thing was delicious, full of flavors some of which i'd never experienced before. Definitely recommended! Staff were just great here, very friendly, bubbly and happy to have me as a first time visitor to try their food. They also bring out to your table four of their sauces. Decide which one is your favorite of these! Parking here is absolutely no problem being inside Plaza fiesta, and while I didn't go inside the restaurant, it's a decent size from the outside with outdoor seating as well. Please check out Arepa Grill for some good Venezuelan food. I definitely know i'll be back!

While my review itself is a bit late, I do think about this place often because of how good the food was. I haven't had pepitos before, but this made an amazing introduction for me! From the outside, it looked like the rest of the plaza and didn't stand out much. Stepping in, it was surprisingly pretty cool and a bit modern with the lighting and walls. It was clean too. I would recommend getting a pepitos over the burger, though both are great. It's just easier to put away the rest for later because of how filling eating just half is. The fries were crispy and good for trying out all the sauces. And the sauces? Love the variety. The bacon sauce truly tastes like bacon and has bits of it in it. Corn is probably made with sweet corn, and it was creamy. Love the garlic. The honey mustard was good too. Cheese confuses me. It wasn't a cheese flavor I am more familiar with, and it wasn't like the cheese used in the meal. I didn't dislike it, but I also did mix sauces together, and I liked it better once mixed with something else. Garlic still is just great overall though. We ended with churros, which were pretty good. They drizzle lots of chocolate, caramel, and condensed milk over them, and while I felt guilty after eating so much food, I loved every moment. They give quite a bit, and we couldn't finish them all. Great dessert for sharing, and another draw to this place if you don't want a full meal, though I highly recommend getting food as well.

Pictured here LA VERGATARIA - Venezuelans have always liked dressing up their burgers, so don't be surprised by this. In between the buns you'll find the following: a burger patty, grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, bacon, egg, little pepito fries, American cheese, queso de mano (soft white cheese). You're gonna have to be comfortable with getting a little messy here Pastelitos - These are Venezuelan pastelitos, my favorite. You can order a variety of types like ground beef, cheese and potato, pizza, cheese, chicken, or mini pateslitos which are AWESOME because they are a dollar each so you can grab a variety of them Steak Arepa Chicken Cachapa #rolieats #goodeats #goodfood #venezuelanfood #gainesville #northgeorgia #burgers #pastelitos #cachapas #arepas #donarepacho #latinofood #bigfan
