Egg and chorizo verde breakfast burrito
    Doug C.

Delicious. Situated in an unassuming gas station, little English spoken, but did a carry out door dash order, ready when I arrived, some more green or red sauce on ice in little cups if you want extra. No frills, delicious, fresh tortilla (which is the best). Especially for the price, I'd definitely come back for this hidden gem! No wait, breakfast burrito with chorizo was delicious. I'll be back!

I asked for no cilantro as I am allergic and add cheese

I am allergic to cilantro, and I specifically asked for no cilantro to be added to my tacos. I also added cheese and did not have any of this granted through my DoorDash order. This was the only lunch window I had so now I have to be hungry until I get home for dinner. There obviously are no quality control checks here.

    Grande nachos
    Sarah H.

I had a craving for nachos and so I did a search on yelp. While this place didn't have many reviews for the nachos they did have positive reviews for their food. When I did a search I realized that I had passed this place on many occasions. It's actually inside the BP gas station, not next to it as I originally assumed. Now being inside a gas station doesn't make me jump at the opportunity to visit but seeing the good reviews I gave it a try anyway. This restaurant is on its own side in the gas station complete with a counter, kitchen, tables, and a drink station. Being that it was lunch time there were a few tables occupied by those on their lunch break and there was one person in front of me. I perused the menu briefly looking for the nachos and settled on the grande nachos with no meat, to go. It took about 5 or 7 minutes for me to receive my food and then I headed home to enjoy. The nachos smelled delightful and they were very tasty. They give a good amount of toppings and they were not stingy with the cheese sauce. I was enjoying my food so much that I forgot I got the salsa and never even touched it. I would definitely give them another chance.

I stumbled upon this spot while pumping gas and to my surprise they serve up some great tacos! The line was so long that there was no way I was going to pass it up. The tacos were hot, fresh, and made to order. They are served simple with just cilantro and onions (just the way I like it). The staff was pleasant and friendly. You simply walk up, place your order and by the time you finish paying your food is ready for you! Go visit ASAP!

Lengua Taco (1) & Carne Asada Tacos (2)
    Jordyn W.

Came here right when they opened. The tacos were delicious!!! My favorite is definitely the lengua taco. The meat is so tender and flavorful, and the tacos were served hot and fresh. The restaurant is located inside the gas station convenience store, but don't let that turn you away! These tacos are authentic and taste better than a lot of other taquerias around the area! Will definitely be coming here more often!

This is supposed to be a carne asada quesadilla. More veggies than meat. Disappointed.

I was really looking forward to my carne asada quesadilla. They hardly put any carne asada or cheese and they filled it up with veggies. Pretty disappointed.

Tamales de Puerco (pork) & de Pollo (chicken) - thicker, shorter style tamales.
    David B.

I ordered 2 Tamales de Puerco (pork) & 2 Tamales de Pollo (chicken). They are well-wrapped (not falling apart) in corn husks, steamed well (shiny outer...not dry or crumbly), and good flavor. The only negative is the chicken tamales were a tad dry...not crumbly, just a bit dry; so maybe they need a tad less time in the steamer. Presentation was good, basic but exactly as you would expect...not messy. If you know how to eat tamales, you'll either want to ask for extra salsa or (like we always do) have your own favorite salsa. I ordered via Uber Eats and they were hot enough to be edible without having to reheat them when they arrived. I'd maybe recommend they wrap the tamales in foil to keep them hotter...since the extra steam would actually help the tamales, unlike other food in foil. I was skeptical when seeing this place open in the B.P. Gas Station at Ptree-Indus/Jhns-Ferry, but they're the equivalent of a good taco stand with the added benefit of Uber Eats. Good spot, nice tamales and I give it kudos for participating in Uber Eats!!

It was a little pricey at $14 for 3 small-ish tacos, but each taco was packed with meat. I also got a taco de la abuela with pastor meat. For their street tacos, they have normal street tacos for $3.25, or for $0.25 more you can get the same taco with a handmade tortilla (aka taco de la abuela). I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. The restaurant is kept clean and there's a serve yourself salsa bar. I'm glad that I've found a good taco spot nearby! Parking is a bit limited as the lot is small and is shared with other small restaurants as well.

We waited only a few minutes and was able to navigate the small lot to get a spot. There is a designated window for pre-orders and walk-ups have a separate line. It wasn't that long when we were there, but was out the door when we left. Ordering was easy as we got a chance to preview the paper menu, and we were given a card to place on our table once we found it. There was plenty of seating options despite the full lot, but it was nice out so a lot of people were out on the patio with views of the busy intersection. The decor was modern and airy. We checked out the salsa bar while we waited for our appetizer and I found the jalapeno roasted garlic, which was spicy and amazing!! Our appetizer was the con queso and I added chorizo, which I highly recommend. It was plenty for our party of 4 and they'll give you more chips if you need them for the amount of dip you get, just ask. I got one each of the steak, chicken, and carnitas tacos on corn tortillas. The steak was my favorite and I loved that you could taste the smoke in each of the meats with each bite. The grapefruit marg was strong! We were in and out in well under an hour.

Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that?…read more The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
