No question, the food here is good. I'd return again for the cheese dip, tacos and quesadillas for sure. What I loved less was the service, and the touchless menus/bill pay. We were seated really quickly, and taken straight to a table in the covered patio area. Every seatback had a beautiful blanket in case it got chilly. We weren't given menus and the host disappeared without explaining that the menu was QR code only. We realized this and pulled up the menu, but it didn't allow us to place the order so we waited (longer than is typical) for a server. Eventually she came, and our food started arriving shortly after ordering. Bar drinks took a lot longer. We didn't see the server again, but tried the QR code again and found we could pay online. Without anyone to ask for to-go boxes, we took our plates to the bar and asked there. It all felt a bit awkward; self-service is fine, but this hybrid model was just frustrating. None of the servers we tried to flag made eye contact. This model needs much better staff training to work. read more

This place is definitely a vibe!! From the decor to the music, everything was on point. The decorations were fully decked out and super cute. It's on the smaller side though, so I definitely recommend making reservations before you go. As for the food... I feel like it might be a little overhyped. Maybe I just came on an off day, but our guac and birria pizza were sooo salty. The tacos were decent, and I actually loved the salsa selection. Andddd my favorite dishes of the night were the pork belly tacos and the corn! The pork belly was cooked perfectly every bite, all that fat just melted in your mouth. So flavorful and tender. And the corn on the cob (not the one in the cup!) was soooo good. It was soft, sweet, and had the perfect amount of mayo and cheese. Not too heavy, not too dry just right. Rreal Tacos was a fun dining experience, but definitely left something to be desired. First of all, let me give them credit for amazing Christmas decor. My friends and I had no clue that they decorated so much and it was really impressive how the decor elevated the experience. The staff was super nice and attentive during a very busy night. We were seated immediately and had great service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, that is the highlight of the meal as the food fell flat. We had the esquites and trio appetizer to share, all of which were fine, but the tacos I had were really disappointing. I tried the birria, al pastor, and picanha tacos and I don't think I'd order any of them again. The al pastor and picanha tacos both had some really chewy and inedible meat and all three of the tacos were somewhat lukewarm upon arrival. For the price of the meal, I really think that a better quality is expected. The worst part of the experience, which I understand is out of their control, is the parking. There is a super busy lot and deck which made finding parking a nightmare, myself and my friends all had to circle the lot for at least ten minutes each to find a spot. I think Rreal Tacos' staff does an excellent job of making the experience as great as possible, but the food did not deliver at this visit. read more

This place was super cute and decorated super festively for grinchmas ! We mainly went for the decor and festive drinks which were so good and the presentation was also super cute. We ordered some steak tacos and chicken quesadillas which took a while to come out and they were pretty standard, they were not bad! The rice was pretty good. It's family friendly so I'd say it's a great place to bring the family for dinner or to come with friends if you're craving some Mexican food and yummy cocktails! read more

I figured this was another americanized Mexican restaurant but it's honestly delicious and their tacos, though upscale, definitely hit the spot. The picanha taco was a favorite and the Birria ramen definitely hit the spot. Someone in my group said it felt like it had way too many components that made it too much but the taste was there. Been wanting to try this place a long time. Now I'm happy to say I went AND I have a seemingly clutch hack to share as well. First off, I'd call these tacos commercialized-authentic-- especially if you order them with corn tortillas. They're definitely churning out commercialized quantities and portions, but they actually are authentic, no-nonsense substance. I must say.., they were the most generously portioned tacos (meat-filling-wise) that I've had in ages!!! Go foRreal!!!! Now on to the hack for you. You can get a platter of 12 tacos, GREAT value, for $50 ($5/ taco), which was good value given the usual price was ~$6. and as mentioned above, the quantity of each taco is generous enough that I do believe you could easily share 12 amou get a group of 3 (maybeeee even 4) friends. They use cod - I always ask when deciding whether to order fish tacos. Great fish taco! BIRRIA BARBACOA - $5.99 Barbacoa taco birria style with corn tortilla and melted cheese, onions and cilantro - corn tortilla. This was very dense (in a good way!), tasty, but very greasy therefore messy to eat ... and probably no surprise, several very fatty pieces too. The restaurant has a great ambiance, love the decoration and style; pretty good service, the waitress was able to answer our questions and make suggestions and I appreciate that. The service was really good! I actually ended up sending the chicken birria back because the birria smelled too strongly like chicken broth and the aroma turned me off from the meal. My friend and I sat at the bar, and the bartender was awesome --attentive and gave us some great recommendations. I tried four different tacos, and the tempura fish was the standout--crispy, flavorful, and just plain delicious. The picanha was my least favorite; it was a bit dry for my taste, but not enough to ruin the experience. I'm definitely coming back to try more. The decor and ambiance are great, but the tacos are super expensive for a place that markets themselves as authentic. The fillings for the tacos are alright, but nothing special compared to what you can get just 5 min down the road on Buford hwy. After leaving a concert in Midtown we were starving and wanted some good drinks. I had this restaurant's food before vis Uber Eats but never sat in house. We decided to go to this location. The location is the bottom floor of an apartment community so it is very tiny on the inside. They also have an outdoor section that is covered and heated. We chose outside. The host knew who I was with and seated me as soon as I walked in. The menu is on a label that is located on each corner of the table. You also pay your bill scanning the same label. Since the receipt was emailed to me I just listed it below. The server was easily accessible and she was very attentive. I enjoyed the tacos like usual but the star of the night was the queso. It was the perfect consistency and taste. Not overly salty or too think or loose. The only disappointment I had was the consome we ordered for the Birria Tacos. It had zero flavor or seasoning and tasted like cinnamon water. All in all everything was good. Every inch was covered in something festive and I was loving it! they really do think about the little things which is nice. Their outdoor patio has heaters and blankets if you're cold. Parking is limited near the restaurant during busy hours but there is a parking deck as well as complimentary valet for patrons at all of the restaurants in the area. There was a bit of a wait but once we were finally seated we were placed on the patio which was fine until we noticed it was about to rain. We repeatedly alerted our server and asked if we could be moved in doors. She was very dismissive on top of incorrectly clarifying ingredients in the appetizers we ordered. Once the storm hit we had to move our drinks and apps inside with no help from the staff. The restaurant is very small so it was cramped while we waited further instructions. We were about to leave but the hostess apologized and asked to stay where we were sat in a new area indoors with better service. The manager spoke to us but didn't offer anything for the inconvenience or bad experience. We had a pitcher of the Texas margarita which was decent, a trio for an appetizer, a few friends shared the chicken nachos while I had the Al pastor, asada and picanha tacos. Me and the family have been several times over the last few months, and we continue to be very satisfied with the food and the service. It's small, so make a reservation if you can, even if you think you don't need it. I love the Costra taco with el pastor. It's SO delicious. This has become by far my favorite taco place. Yes it is a small chain, but it's awesome. I like it more every time we go. It can definitely get a little crowded and loud during peak times, but that's okay. I can't stand thin tortilla chips! But you can tell the guacamole was indeed prepared in-house! I ordered the Spicy Pineapple Margarita, 2 Shrimp & 2 Fish Tacos, and Cilantro Rice! All were amazing! I love how they dress their drinks. My margarita had a spicy Tajin rim, dried lemon, and a cute little ducky in it! Oh and it was STRONG!! Lol! I like that they don't put a sauce on your tacos so they don't get soggy! The sauces are on the table and can be added at your leisure. I'd been seeing the various locations around town while driving, and had been interested in trying this place out. When I saw videos on Instagram of their Halloween decor, I practically begged my boyfriend to go with me (of course it didn't take much convincing). However, today, on 11/1, we drove past the Chamblee location on our way to have lunch somewhere else and decided to reroute ourselves and change our plans when we saw the Halloween decor still up! For a Friday early bird dinner/late lunch a little after 4 PM, they were pretty busy with customers. Even so, we were seated immediately. We chose to sit outside because despite the overcast skies, it was nice weather (temperature-wise). The ambiance was so fun, with lots of spooky decor! Upon being seated, our server, Johnny, wearing a festive black Angel halo, greeted us. He was great! Very kind and attentive without being overbearing, and quick service! For my drink, I got a Michelada (with choice of Corona) since I've been wanting to try one and had never had one before--I really enjoyed it and loved the tamarind straw that came with it too. For those who have never had a Michelada (I hope I'm not offending with this comparison!), it's like a Mexican beer version of a Bloody Mary. We ordered the trio appetizer (chips with salsa, guacamole, and queso). Sadly, this is not a free chips and salsa joint... which usually deters me... but I gave them a pass. All 3 were delicious! For our entrees, we each ordered tacos (I got 1 costra taco with shrimp and 1 tempura fried fish taco. My boyfriend got 2 costra tacos with grilled fish and 1 shrimp taco) and shared the sweet potato side as well as a side of Spanish rice and refried beans. Everything was so yummy!
