Little Rey is so stankin cute. It has a modern industrial design with pops of eclectic color. Their menu has so many amazing sounding dishes but I came just wanting some tacos. You order at the counter and find a table. I got the steak and chicken tacos, and side of chips and guac. Food came out quickly and I loved the steak taco. The meat was tender, flavorful, and it had a bit of delicious smokiness to it. They also have a salsa bar where you must try their green and red salsas. I was a huge fan and it's worth the hype for sureee.

I was in the area and decided to visit this gem because someone on Instagram posted them. The steak taco is so delicious and tender. The chicken (you can taste the smoke) they have many options of other items I will most definitely be back to try. The cilantro rice is so good and the beans and delicious. They have options of alcoholic drinks or non alcoholic. You get a selection for your sauces. The service was great and not a long wait. The ambiance was family friendly and nice.

I thought this place was all hype, but I could honestly say, they have some good eats here. We came for a late lunch and I loved seeing everyone in their respective team's soccer jerseys. It's counter service, so you order from the counter, they will give you your drinks and chips before you get seated. I tried their aqua Fresca of the day, which was a hibiscus tea - it was super tangy at first sip but the ice watered it down to tame down the tartness. Their chips here are yummy. I love a good thin, crispy chip. I thought their guac was good, but not the best I've had. They also have a salsa bar and we tried most of them, but my favorite was the chipotle salsa. I ordered the arroz con pollo (roughly around $10) and was super filling. It had rice, beans, grilled chicken, kale and pickled veggies. I could only finish half of it, so now I get to enjoy the other half for my lunch tomorrow. My husband got the half bird plate that he demolished. One thing to note here is service. Everyone was super friendly and approachable.

Little Rey usually does good for me but today the special, fish taco, really disappointed me. There was one very small, thin piece of fish on my taco and lots of fixings. I think they tried to cover it up. This picture is after two bites. I hate wasting money and this taco makes me feel like I did.

I was meeting a friend for lunch and she suggested this place. She gave me two locations to choose from and I chose this one on Piedmont. It is a very cute restaurant. You order at the counter upon entry and take a sign to your table that's the staff uses to deliver you the correct food. I had the superica salad and it was delicious. I also tried my friend's chips and queso, and that was also good. The one downside is that it was steaming hot inside. Because of how hot it was, I ordered an aqua Fresca, which is their hibiscus lemonade. It was delicious and not too sweet. While we were dining, we were asked to move tables so that they could work on the air conditioning which required them to enter the ceiling above where we were originally seated. They wanted so badly to comp something for us for the inconvenience of moving tables, so we eventually settled on ice cream. The ice cream was a Dulcè de Leche flavor, which I didn't love. The bathrooms are outside the main entrance, and require a code for entry. You have to get the code from the staff. Overall, this was a good experience and I would go back.

I really enjoyed the one taco I ordered here. I got the steak taco and honestly if you could buy them in a combo or trio I would have loved that. Got 1 chicken taco for my daughter with a drink for her and my taco and a frozen margarita which was great but at almost 40 dollars uhg. Going out to eat anymore is a drag cause everything is so dang expensive. At least we enjoyed the food.

I love Little Rey, I frequent here pretty often! The tacos are made in the restaurant which I love, the food is always delicious, and they have a lot of options to choose from on the menu! The staff is very friendly, and if you choose to dine in they give you a fun little card to put up at your table and they bring your order to you. Other than that, the rest is mostly self-service. The interior is very cute, with hanging plants and plenty of seating options, indoor and outdoor. If you like spicy tacos, I highly recommend the shrimp diablo tacos (#9)!! The grapefruit margarita and frozen margarita are also really good, I prefer the grapefruit one, but the frozen marg is great for the summer. Overall, 10/10 I definitely recommend coming here!!

Was celebrating a friends birthday this evening and we decided to stop at Little Rey's for a bite to eat and a refreshing margarita. A couple of takeaways: The food is very fresh and the ingredients hold a lot of flavor. I believe they make their tortillas in house, which makes the tacos that much much better! I did enjoy the margarita, however, it is not me to order as they are premade. For it to be a premade margarita it is very tasty (and kind of strong lol) but I always would prefer something made fresh to order. If you are like me, I would say still give it a shot. If you don't mind premade margaritas, this is probably one of the best that I've ever had. We went on a Saturday evening and it was very crowded. There was very little parking so it was quite the struggle.. So, keep that in mind if you're going on a busy day/night and with a group of people like we did. You order when you walk in and then you find your table. with that in mind, there was a very long line and they only had two registers/2 people taking orders. I would definitely say despite it being crowded, the wait was worth it. There were a moderate amount of inside and outside.I love the aesthetic of the restaurant as it is very appealing and clean! I would definitely go back to Little Rey but will likely avoid a day that has high volume/traffic (which will likely be on a weekend)

The food tasted good but the prices are much higher than what they should be. Paying $6 - $7 per taco is ridiculous especially when you do not get chips and salsa. You order at the counter and they give you a card to place at your table. They will then bring your food to your table. They have a salsa bar for you to grab your own cutlery, napkins, and sauces. I got the El Diablo, Al Carbon, and Chicken Quesadilla. The El Diablo is a shrimp taco with their hottest sauce and jalapenos. It is not that hot but it tastes great. The Al Carbon is a basic taco but it is cook to order. The Chicken Quesadilla is pretty basic but it tastes great.

Visited with a coworker while on a work training. She visited several years back and enjoyed it. It was our first meal while in Atlanta. We both opted for a small chips and queso. They accidentally rang us up as a large and a small, which we didn't notice and the manager visited our table to apologize and refund the difference. We had no idea and told him as much and to his credit he said, we noticed, we were wrong and we need to make it right. So props for that. I ordered the Aroz con pollo, which I will admit I didn't realize would be a salad as it normally isn't, but I didn't look closely at the menu when ordering. I also ordered two locals drafts. The place was extremely clean and neat. You order at a counter and then find a seat. It's at a weird intersection so if you Uber, make sure they know where they are going. It was a decent experience and I would go again next year.

Run don't walk!! This place will knock your socks off!! I really enjoyed these specialty tacos and breakfast. The pancakes with a touch of salt really take it up a notch! The service is amazing! Ambiance is great. Keep in mind l, this is TEX-MEX. Not traditional Mexican food. But boy to they do it right!

We came here on a Sunday morning a little after 9am and there wasn't a huge crowd but by the time we were leaving, there was a long line out of the door. They do have a lot of seating though so there shouldn't be a problem to get in. Definitely know what you want before you go because you have to order at a counter when you walk in and they will deliver it to your table. I had the bacon taco and the breakfast chalupa. Both were very simple dishes; however, they were both so tasty and flavorful. We did get some of the sauces they had to add to your food and the verde was my favorite. When I have a bigger appetite I definitely want to come back and try more items on the menu.

Ask the Community - Little Rey

Do they have cilantro on the salsa bar?

Do they sell Margs when they open for breakfast? (Don't just get me 😂)

Not right at 9AM when they open - I think they start selling alcohol at 10AM or 11AM.

Do they still have the Salsa bar during COVID-19? Is it available for takeout?

Yes but it was in individual containers.

We both ordered the $10…read moretaco meal (with a small $2 upcharge for some premium meats), and the value was excellent. I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. We'd definitely come back the next time we're craving tacos and margaritas.

Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that?…read more The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I think I saved this spot due to some friends recommending it. Pretty decent food for a gas station…read morespot. The hubs choose x3 shrimp birria tacos while I had the beef birria quesadilla. I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
