I probably won't be returning to this location because their vegetarian options are very few and far between. I came with a large group around 12:30pm and ordered off of the lunch menu, but for some reason was the only person at the table that was charged for a dinner plate and received a dinner portion. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and paid $40. I didn't get full from the tacos, but I stopped eating them because they weren't very appetizing. The cauliflower was very crunchy, lacked seasoning, and didn't really go well with the taco. Their bottomless chips and salsa were great though. The chips are so light and have the perfect crunch. The only issue is that since we had such a large group, the chips were finished about 10 minutes after we sat down and were never refilled, so we all kinda sat picking at the crumbs. While I didn't order the salad, many people that I was with did and it looked good. I am unsure of our servers name, but she was nice. She did fine for our 10 person table; She forgot to grab different drinks and refills but overall she was good, very friendly. After trying Krog, Avalon, and the now closed Howell Mill locations we have found a contender worthy of satisfying our fajita cravings. The Buckhead location is a welcoming, modern space. The service is considerate by the entire team. Our server was Iman. The chips and salsas are perfect! Our food arrived hot and actually sizzling on the cast iron skillet. It was in fact prepared Medium as ordered(other locations have served well done meat). The tortillas are still not the same as Texas, but they tried. Superica is a solid place for some Tex-Mex cuisine! The inside is very spacious and decorated like the Wild West. It was pretty empty when we got there, so the service was pretty good. We ordered the Guacamole, Cheese Enchilada, Fajitas Al Carbon (Chicken Breast), and Tacos Al Carbon (Steak). First, they do have complimentary chips and green salsa which were yummy. The Guacamole was pretty good; it was really creamy and comes with a lime if someone prefers more acidity. It is served with tostadas, which were crunchy and thick to eat. I got the Fajitas Al Carbon (Chicken Breast) and opted for their refried beans instead of the charro beans. In terms of the chicken breasts, they were seasoned and grilled well but the portion size was kind of small. However, they still tasted well in the fajita (I added the refried beans, Mexican rice, pico de gallo, Mexican butter, guacamole, cheese, and sour cream to the flour tortillas). My boyfriend got the Cheese Enchilada, which is his favorite, and the Tacos Al Carbon (Steak). I got to try his tacos which were good, but a bit dry. They definitely needed to be dipped in a sauce to add more flavor and get rid of the dryness. We also got the Slushie Del Dia, which is their seasonal cocktail. It was very strong for the both of us and it took me some time to finish. After a cold morning out in the city with my best friend and her family we decided to take in a lunch. I recommended Superica due to the distance, the kid-friendly menu and the fact that I absolutely love the Krog Street location although this was my first visit to the Buckhead location. Once we arrived (on a Monday afternoon during a holiday week) I was actually surprised that the restaurant had a number of guests seated and a few parties waiting to be seated. Despite this, there seemed to be a number of open tables in the back of the restaurant. As a former server, I figured that they were short-staffed and limiting the seating - reasonable but as my review goes on, I'm not sure how effective that ended up being. No matter what, I love seeing a business with customers vs. being empty, that's always the goal! I put our name on the list (after my friend stated that she was constantly receiving an error message when signing up for the waitlist) and was nicely informed that we could have up to a 30min wait. Yikes! But this wasn't too surprising based on the information I previously shared and the fact that we were a party of 7 including 2 kids. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful when the hostess let me know (after I told her I miscounted and there would be 7 of us vs. the 8 we expected), that we could be seated sooner and took us over to a table in about 10 minutes. Score! We were seated at a round table that was a bit tighter than I hoped, probably more equipped for 5 folks, but we made it work. Our waitress was quite pleasant and began to take our orders after dropping some waters on the table. Our first issue came when they were out of so many menu options including iced tea and tamales, among other items. Such a bummer. As sweet as our waitress was, service was quite delayed during this visit. I think we saw her about 4 times during our 2hr visit. I don't blame her or the restaurant outright, it just seemed as though they weren't expecting that lunch rush and were spread thin. I ordered a mocktail and a Mexican Coke and no joke, it took about 20min to get the Coke and even longer to get my mocktail. And I was incredibly disappointed by my Mocktail but feel that if I would have spoken up, the team would have rectified the issue but I was just over it by then. All of the adults went for the lunch specials which are truly a great deal across the board. They're priced so well and offer a great variety of options for all foodies, definitely one of my favorite parts of the experience. 2 of us got enchiladas and 2 of us got tacos and man, those tacos made me green with envy because they were huge!! My enchiladas were delicious, I just wish I would have ordered them both as verde chicken as the picadillo didn't really 'hit' for me. My favorite part of almost every Superica visit are their delicious fresh chips and salsa. Like, phew! They don't play. The verde salsa and spicy salsa are always SO good, I just don't know why they play with folks and give it to us in those little mason jars - don't they know how delicious it is?! And then my wife got the Tommy's Marg, which I believe is like a skinny marg. My marg tasted great! I requested Tajin around the rim, b/c I love Tajin, but you can get w/e you fancy around the time! I then got a Jalapeno Marg after the OG one, I love a good spicy margarita! We got some chips and salsa and guacamole to share. The chips and salsa were good, and the guacamole was even better. The guac was served with these tostada type chips, so they were a little thicker...perfect for picking up the chunky guac. We all then proceeded to get our main courses. I got the Chicken Fajitas, my wife got the Chicken Suizas enchiladas, and our friends got the shrimp tacos and picadillo (ground beef) tacos. My fajitas were SO GOOD. It came with a decent amount, so much that I had some left to take home. I had 3 while at dinner. My wife's enchiladas were really good too. Very flavorful! And it wasn't overloaded with stuff on the top, where it becomes so soggy. They have a few other types of enchiladas as well too. Our friends loved their tacos. One of them loves Superica's shrimp tacos, so he knew he had to get them again. Also, you have to get the beans with cheese on them! You will have to ask for it as the menu doesn't have them on their anymore. But they are soooo good! The menu is pretty big, so you're bound to find something you like. For dessert, we shared the Tres Leches and these Cinnamon Tostadas. I LOVE Tres Leches, and this was right on par with how it should taste. Highly recommend! The cinnamon tostadas were okay, but nothing special. I also got the El Chapo drink as a post-dinner cocktail. It was pretty Mezcal forward (I enjoy Mezcal), but it was very dessert-esque. I honestly enjoyed everything about Superica. The service, food, atmosphere, cost, everything just made it a great experience. It's also good to note that Superica was recognized by the Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand award...essentially meaning good quality food at a good value. Since moving to ATL I've managed to eat at all 3 Superica's and this location is IMO the best. The food is solid regardless of the location but this one has great wait staff. We have a 2 year old and each time the staff have been very accommodating with us. Maybe we also happen to come during slower times but the wait is usually not that long either which is also a plus. In terms of food, I usually get their fish tacos and each time they are perfectly made. Also, for the kid's portion, it's pretty large so we always end up taking some back home. They forgot one of our food items. We ordered guacamole and we had to ask three people and it came well after the food. We each had a cocktail. Weirdly there are no prices on those. My son and I had regular margaritas OTR and my husband a blood orange. We commented on the weird salt placement on the glasses. If you wanted to lick the salt you would have to lick the side of the glass. That's dumb. They were little tiny drinks also. My husband decided to order a second. When we got the bill his freaking tiny margaritas was $22 each!That made me mad. Our regular margaritas were $11. WTH? We were trying to figure it out and on the bill it had a premium tequila listed.
