Superica is good, always has been but recently they have changed their menu. While, I was expecting to receive the guacamole, it was served with all the toppings and is now a "make yourself" kind of guac, to be more "table made" and it was a big disappointment for me. The size was small and I didn't like the change. I much preferred the prior made guacamole. Fajitas we ordered were good though, not overly amazing but good. Steak was so so, I think the quality could have better but the chicken was grilled right and all the fixings were well. Their flour tortillas were fresh and I was surprised with how well made they were. They definitely gave me flashbacks of abuela'S tortillas. Definitely get that over the corn as the corn was just bland and no where near as good. Salsas are always good and our waitress was phenomenal. Great location, semi casual with some decent Tex mex kind of food.

Superica has always been a favorite, and last night had some highs and a few misses. Service: A bit slow at first (12 min for water, 15 for chips & salsa, 27 for entrees), but our server was extremely attentive and kind once he got going! Food: Verde salsa still slaps, red salsa warm is a total game changer, and the burger is excellent -- love the move to crinkle-cut fries. Fajita veggies were great, though our order had to be remade due to a cream sauce mix-up (comped graciously). The salad was disappointing -- smaller portion, missing cilantro, fewer toppings, and cold chicken that looked like it had been sitting for hours. It used to be my favorite in Atlanta, so this one felt off. Overall, still love the spot, but am devastated by the salad (cravings for which are what bring us in most frequently, but still LOVE the tacos & fajitas)!

Came to Superica for Sunday brunch and I'm glad we made a reservation, it was busy! My friend and I both ordered the huevos rancheros. They were tasty, but there was way too much sauce, which made the dish a little overwhelming. The highlight was definitely the complimentary chips and salsa--fresh, crunchy, and seriously delicious

Missed the brunch (till 3pm) but got the tacos instead (fried catfish) and they were filling and had good flavor and crunch profile. Queso however I had to get 2 orders. I usually don't even eat queso. Drinks were yummy and fast. Service was warm and attentive. Will come back

Really good food and excellent service. Busy place good atmosphere. I had the huevos rancheros and it was very good. Will definitely return

Superica was very good but pricey for what it was! If you get the fajitas, I definitely recommend making macho as the cheese was a huge plus for me and made the food delicious. They also have veggie fajitas for anyone who is vegan! Drinks are great here and I recommend getting a reservation but the wait was only 30 minutes when we got there (bar seating is open seating)

Nice ambiance and food was pretty good. I got Agua Fresca called, RGB. I wasn't a fan. Superica interior is well done, and worth sitting down and enjoying the vibe.

Service was good, our server Andrew was very attentive. We got there a few minutes ahead of our reservation and they gave us a table right away, so that was good. They have animal heads in the walls, and that threw me off so I switched seats so I didn't have to look at them. It is Tex-Mex, so its part of the decor, but still didn't like that. Food-wise, it was good. We ordered a queso fundido, which was good, but not my favorite. They serve it with tortillas plus they also give unlimited chips to the table. I ordered the appetizer flautas for dinner and they were BIG. Definitely a good meal to share as appetizer or a food item, if you don't like A LOT of food but still want to be full. My boyfriend had enchiladas and really liked them. Sorry I can't remember exactly which ones he had. I had the superita margarita and it was good. The alcohol definitely hits.

Superica is a favorite! First, the complimentary chips and salsa--seriously, who's still doing that? Such a rare and welcome treat these days. The food is where Superica really shines. The tampiqueña was cooked exactly as requested (a miracle these days), and you can taste the quality of the meat--it was so tender. The fried egg on top? Absolute money. As for the enchiladas (always my go-to), they were insane! Packed with flavorful tinga and topped with salsa verde, they might just ruin all other enchiladas for me. Another thing I love? They have a Dry January menu! More restaurants adding non-alcoholic drinks to their menus is such a win--sometimes you just want a fancy drink without the buzz. The ambiance is another highlight. This location is huge, beautifully decorated, and perfect for a big group--or just for feeling fancy while eating tacos. The only downside? The service can be a pretty hit or miss. Their servers could use a bit more friendliness and polish--just a little TLC to match the quality of everything else. Overall, the food, vibe, and thoughtful menu additions like the Dry January drinks make Superica worth the visit. I'll keep coming back for the enchiladas (and chips) alone.

Top notch Tex-Mex with traditional delicious options and great service! Glad it was recommended by a coworker as it's a go-to spot when I'm in the area.

Guacamole, Cheese Enchilada, Fajitas Al Carbon (Chicken Breast), and Tacos Al Carbon (Steak)

Superica is a solid place for some Tex-Mex cuisine! The inside is very spacious and decorated like the Wild West. It was pretty empty when we got there, so the service was pretty good. We ordered the Guacamole, Cheese Enchilada, Fajitas Al Carbon (Chicken Breast), and Tacos Al Carbon (Steak). First, they do have complimentary chips and green salsa which were yummy. The Guacamole was pretty good; it was really creamy and comes with a lime if someone prefers more acidity. It is served with tostadas, which were crunchy and thick to eat. I got the Fajitas Al Carbon (Chicken Breast) and opted for their refried beans instead of the charro beans. In terms of the chicken breasts, they were seasoned and grilled well but the portion size was kind of small. However, they still tasted well in the fajita (I added the refried beans, Mexican rice, pico de gallo, Mexican butter, guacamole, cheese, and sour cream to the flour tortillas). My boyfriend got the Cheese Enchilada, which is his favorite, and the Tacos Al Carbon (Steak). I got to try his tacos which were good, but a bit dry. They definitely needed to be dipped in a sauce to add more flavor and get rid of the dryness. We also got the Slushie Del Dia, which is their seasonal cocktail. It was very strong for the both of us and it took me some time to finish. I think Superica has good food and vibes, so this should definitely be a place that you check out wherever you are in Georgia (they have several locations here) if you like Tex-Mex!

After a cold morning out in the city with my best friend and her family we decided to take in a lunch. I recommended Superica due to the distance, the kid-friendly menu and the fact that I absolutely love the Krog Street location although this was my first visit to the Buckhead location. Once we arrived (on a Monday afternoon during a holiday week) I was actually surprised that the restaurant had a number of guests seated and a few parties waiting to be seated. Despite this, there seemed to be a number of open tables in the back of the restaurant. As a former server, I figured that they were short-staffed and limiting the seating - reasonable but as my review goes on, I'm not sure how effective that ended up being. No matter what, I love seeing a business with customers vs. being empty, that's always the goal! I put our name on the list (after my friend stated that she was constantly receiving an error message when signing up for the waitlist) and was nicely informed that we could have up to a 30min wait. Yikes! But this wasn't too surprising based on the information I previously shared and the fact that we were a party of 7 including 2 kids. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful when the hostess let me know (after I told her I miscounted and there would be 7 of us vs. the 8 we expected), that we could be seated sooner and took us over to a table in about 10 minutes. Score! We were seated at a round table that was a bit tighter than I hoped, probably more equipped for 5 folks, but we made it work. Our waitress was quite pleasant and began to take our orders after dropping some waters on the table. Our first issue came when they were out of so many menu options including iced tea and tamales, among other items. Such a bummer. As sweet as our waitress was, service was quite delayed during this visit. I think we saw her about 4 times during our 2hr visit. I don't blame her or the restaurant outright, it just seemed as though they weren't expecting that lunch rush and were spread thin. I ordered a mocktail and a Mexican Coke and no joke, it took about 20min to get the Coke and even longer to get my mocktail. And I was incredibly disappointed by my Mocktail but feel that if I would have spoken up, the team would have rectified the issue but I was just over it by then. All of the adults went for the lunch specials which are truly a great deal across the board. They're priced so well and offer a great variety of options for all foodies, definitely one of my favorite parts of the experience. 2 of us got enchiladas and 2 of us got tacos and man, those tacos made me green with envy because they were huge!! My enchiladas were delicious, I just wish I would have ordered them both as verde chicken as the picadillo didn't really 'hit' for me. My favorite part of almost every Superica visit are their delicious fresh chips and salsa. Like, phew! They don't play. The verde salsa and spicy salsa are always SO good, I just don't know why they play with folks and give it to us in those little mason jars - don't they know how delicious it is?! It's never enough lol. I appreciate them for always being great about bringing more when requested. Although this wasn't the service experience that I'm used to at Superica, I'll absolutely return as I truly enjoy their biz and menu offerings. I think this was a one-off situation and hope to visit this location again for a 5-star experience!

Before the food even came out, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The place has a fun, lively vibe with colorful décor and great music that makes it feel like the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy good food, and have a good time. The crispy tortilla was packed with tender, flavorful birria, melted cheese, fresh cilantro, and onions, and the rich consommé on the side took every bite to another level. The best surprise? I thought they only gave me two quesadillas. I was already happy with that, but after finishing one, I lifted the other and discovered there was a third one hiding underneath! It felt like finding money in an old pair of jeans. Needless to say, I was even more excited. The portion size is definitely worth it--you won't leave hungry. Everything tasted fresh, the birria was juicy and well-seasoned, and dipping each bite into that consommé was absolutely the right move. Service was fast and professional. If you're in Midtown and craving authentic, comforting Mexican food, this is an easy recommendation. Great atmosphere, generous portions, and seriously delicious food. I'll definitely be back!

They have quickly become my favorite place to get Mexican food. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on Buford Highway in a small shopping plaza. The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!
