I afore poco loco, and am a frequent customer. Today I had a burrito with raw potato's that crunched like apples.

So yum! As someone that used to eat breakfast tacos on the regular, I was getting the itch for a breakfast taco/burrito. Enter in Poco Loco: the small, unassuming place with limited hours, and a rotating menu. I swung by for breakfast and got their Weekly Meat burrito - I could eat the tortilla alone and be happy, but the whole thing was incredibly satisfying! Their weekly meat burrito was a chicken chorizo burrito with other goodies, and they pack a side of salsa. The burrito was so good that I completely forgot about the salsa! I will come back another day to try more!! Due to the super limited seating, I found myself enjoying the burrito in the lot (also very small) - I noticed that most people just took their food to-go. Was looking for something new and different to eat and came across this spot, it's a small mostly takeout spot but they do have a couple of tables outside if you want to sit and parking is limited. They have a weekly rotating menu so you don't get bored and provisions. I cant say that I'm surprised but I am definetly disappointed. Moving from Los angeles to Atl, I've been searching for some good breakfast burritos or burritos in general. Haven't had any luck but seen good reviews here so thought why not. The surrounding area and set up is lovely. It just sucks this place is so overrated by people who lack seasoning and culture. I got the "skimo" burrito. Mole beans caught my attention bc never heard of that but love mole so wanted to try. They literally just put the most basic pinto beans in there ? Ok. The chicken "al pastor" pretty much has no flavor. It was dry chicken breast with a top coating of some flavorless marinade just to call this "al pastor". Cmon now. And why do chicken in the first place? It should be pork but they know that. The house made salsa is trash. I'm used to either a good, tasty, slightly spicy salsa verde or salsa roja. Where's the hot sauce just in case?! And why are there large chunks of onion in the burrito? Who wants to be biting down on raw onion in a breakfast burrito. Even the hash browns were slightly undercooked. The best thing about this place is that they sell Martinellis. I had to come see if the hype was real. It is!!! We came around 7pm on Friday. It was freezing cold so no one was eating outside, people just went in the quickly grab their food. There's no indoor seating. Since they have a small menu, the food is ready in warmers so you don't have to wait. We ordered the pork al pastor burrito and a side salad. The salad was big enough for 2 people and they make the ranch in house, it was really good. The burrito with the house made salsa was *chef's kiss* delicious!!! You could tell the tortilla was fresh made. I'm so happy I finally made my way here. I can't wait to try their breakfast menu next. Tip: they're only open Thursday- Saturday and only have dinner on Thursday and Friday nights 4-8pm. read more

Just wanted to stop by and check out the hype.... The hype is real :) Shoutout to Nick, and this wonderful hole in the wall. From the first bite I felt like I was back in Mexico. Nick, the owner, is such a warm soul. You can tell he really cares about people, service, and quality. In a city of such piss-poor customer service, this place warms my heart!! The breakfast burritos are to die for, and the chimichurri is some of the best I've ever had. It brought tears to my eyes. The ambiance is that of a shack on the coast of playa del Carmen, right off of College Ave in Decatur. 13/10 I recommend this place to anyone who values quality over quantity. read more

At this point, I feel like I have tried every Tex-Mex spot in the state of Georgia. As a native Texan and true Tex-Mex connoisseur, some have been bad, some have been good, some have been great, but Poco Loco absolutely has stolen the show. After a single visit a few weeks ago, I have not let a single week pass without ordering tacos and provisions from this sweet and funky East Lake stall. Everything, and I mean everything, I have had here has nearly brought a tear to my eye with its authenticity, freshness, and love that you can literally taste in each bite. The carne asada burritos make for a perfect late night meal, the strawberry horchata is a perfect way to start the day, and the kids taco - served simply with eggs and cheese wrapped in the absolute best flour tortilla I have ever had this side of Dallas - always comes in clutch. However, the Poco-tel dip - Poco Loco's version of the classic Texas yellow queso - had me seeing stars and took me right back home. I simply can't get enough. If you are looking for the best Tex-Mex in Atlanta to stock your pantries and line your stomachs, Poco Loco is a must. I say that a lot, but this time I really mean it. Finally made my way to try poco loco and their breakfast burritos! I love that they have a different menu every week with creative menu options. They always have 1 meat burrito and 1 veggie burrito to choose from, along with some provisions. The parking lot is tiny and not a ton of parking but we didn't have a problem. There only looked to be outdoor dining, but we took ours to go. The tortilla was so delicious! It was big enough to have half for breakfast and half for lunch! I'll be keeping an eye on their weekly Instagram menu to see when I need to go back! read more

Definitely check this neighborhood spot out! They are great for a quick bite. Their burrito was delicious and I couldn't believe it was vegetarian. The tacos were freshly made. Everything came out very quickly and there was some seating outside if you wanted to eat there. The place is cute and it feels very homey. They do sell out of burritos though so get there early! read more

I can't believe I haven't left a review here yet, we get burritos here every single Friday morning and it's a highlight that we look forward to every week. Each week there is a meat burrito option and a vegetarian option as well as the kids burrito and it changes weekly. They also have awesome other things you can take to go and frozen items. They name the burritos fun things each week based on the theme. {I'll link photos} They are open Thursday through Sunday, and it's order at the counter. They do have some picnic tables to eat at outside if you want to stay and eat and they also offer some drink options in a cooler as well as hot coffee in the morning. It's a local staple and you have to check it out if you are in the area! Oh, and they accept Apple Pay so if you stop by and didn't bring your wallet, you are all good. read more

really good breakfast burritos in decatur!! i was super excited to see this place open and im looking forward to seeing it come along. the place is quite small with limited parking, which can be difficult when it's really busy. i wanted to try both of the burritos on the weekly menu, but they made a mistake and gave me two of the same ones. i also got a frozen burrito and am excited to see how it tastes! what i got: - the rainbow connection: the burrito was a lot smaller than i expected, but nonetheless it was very good! the homemade tortilla MADE IT! nothing beats a homemade tortilla, and this one was outstanding! all of the ingredients tasted fresh and complimented each other nicely. i would love to come back and visit this place again! im excited to see it come together and the menu expand! read more

I have heard a lot about this place, so I gave it a try on a rainy morning. The menu looked great, I decided on the pinto beans and the pineapple chimichurri sauce for later. It was about a pound of beans and appeared to be beans and sauce, nothing else, even though the menu said they were made with onions, tomatoes, etc., they cost $9.00 ... for beans. However, I was pleasantly surprised how good they were, super rich with complex flavors and very fresh, I drizzled some of the chimichurri sauce over the beans, stellar !!! I could eat the sauce out of the container with a spoon, it's delicious. I will definately be back, super nice staff, when it's this good, it's worth paying a little extra. read more

OMG! I have been searching for a good breakfast burrito sauce moving back to Atlanta from Oakland 2.5yrs ago. Poco Poco hit the f**king spot. I am blown away by the homemade tortillas and the amazingly flavorful ingredients in these breakfast burritos--so tasty, the salsa isn't even required but it adds a nice additional burst of flavor too. I got the Roy F@#%ing Kent and absolutely loved it! I've never had feta in a breakfast burrito before, but it complemented the other ingredients (rice, eggs, green chile, mushrooms) very nicely. Okay, this place is truly a masterpiece. It has the classic hole in the wall vibes since it runs out of a little shop just outside of town. The food is... I mean truly amazing. It has a Mexican foundation but whoever is cooking/planning menu items knows exactly what they are doing. The menu changes up on a regular basis but it's always very well put together and even if you read an ingredient that you don't usually eat, it's going to turn out fabulous, because again, these people know what they are doing. To top it all off once you swipe your card, no matter how much you order, it will be on the counter, hot and ready to go, by the time you put your card in your wallet/purse and get your hands free. I'm short, this place is operated by some culinary masters, has a great little hole in the wall location, it's fairly priced and VERY fast. In and out in 2-3 minutes. Two hot pre roll burritos (one meat, one veg) that change regularly, some frozen foods and enough pre cooked refrigerated mexi items to throw down at home. What an awesome new spot in Kirkwood! In the old former dish dive spot on college is the new Poco Loco serving up super delicious burritos! I had the Mrs Fox burrito this morning and service was quick, super friendly and the burrito was SO SO GOOD! This maybe my new Friday breakfast tradition!
