Picked up lunch from here and glad I did! The chicken was well seasoned and very tender without being dry at all. The salad was an unexpectedly addition. The alfajores were indulgent. I also had a maracuya drink that was fresh and a large portion. Will definitely be back! I saw many of the dishes I enjoyed in Peru on other people's tables so will have to try them! This place I had to try. When out of my area, I like to try as many restaurants as I can, especially if they are Peruvian restaurants. This place is not fancy, but it's clean. The drawback today was that their air conditioning unit broke down, so it was a little hot inside, but the service was good although a littleslow, we tried the fish ceviche ,jalea, pollo a la brasa and picarones, every item was delicious. read more

This place is terrible. Ordered half a chicken with the two of us as it was recommended that this is Peru's speciality. It was old, no particular spices, fries were old and salad is just a lot of iceberg lettuce with mayo on it. For $22 ?! Makes you think there is nothing special about Peruvian food. King's chicken, this is not. How can you have Chicken as part of your name and mess it up?! We ordered the half chicken meal ($17.50 is expensive) and the dark meat portion was not cooked well; it was reddish with traces of blood. We sent it back and they said they didn't have any more dark meat parts?! What?! how can you run out of chicken pieces at a fried chicken place? They brought white meat instead. There were leftover plumage pieces visible and it looked as if had been cooked hours before. Can't speak of the other dishes but we will certainly not be back or recommend this place. and then, 15% included tip. read more

The five stars are for the food and service. The restaurant itself is plain and a bit threadbare, but clean and quite. For the food, the beef heart "appetizer" will feed a small family some of the most tender and flavorful meat you've ever eaten. And the house made hot sauce, while very hot (and the owner came out to caution us!) is one of the most flavorful Peruvian pepper sauces I have ever tasted. The fried chicken with fries and the rice dish with chicken and shrimp (think fried rice with a ton of savory flavor) were also great food. No alcohol is served, but go for the food and booze it up somewhere else. read more

Peruvian food is one of my favorite type of Latin American food! I've tried a few things on their menu and I need to share how awesome there food is. First off I've tried a few other Peruvian places around Doraville and tucker area and I keep coming back here because it's simply the best. The rotisserie chicken is by far the best here. It's so crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries that come with it (you have a choice of rice or fries) are good. It also comes with a side of salad. There is nothing special about the salad except for the house dressing they make! My god I love the house dressing!!! Idk what they put in that dressing but it's my favorite dressing EVER! The lomo saltado is also great. Taste authentic, and that's what I always look for in a lomo. Looking forward to trying the chicken lomo saltado. Last but not least no matter what you order you need to order an alfajor for desert. It's a crumbly cookie with dolce de leche filling. They are incredibly good here. I've tried alfajores in too many places coming out disappointed but these did not let me down. My coworkers and I eat these on our cheat day and look forward to it every week. Only reason I did not give this place a fifth star is because their service is lacking. I've never dined in but there have been a few people vocalizing their how upset they are with the service. Super sketchy place. I must confess that I always order take-out since I don't feel comfortable eating in. However, the food is delicious! Specially their chicken with their yummy sauces. Yes, the fries are the frozen kind and the salad is ok at its best. But their sauces and friendly staff take the cake. Whenever you get their grilled chicken ask for their green aji sauce and some sort of mustard/mayo sauce. Yum! Shortly after sitting down, I as informed that this place is a Peruvian restaurant; however; there are a plethora of Mexican dishes on the menu. I'm giving this place 3 stars but it really should be two-and-a-half. I decided to try this place since it is close to my house; I could almost walk there. I got there at 11AM and they were still in the process of opening. So nobody was there but me. I ordered a Inca Cola which is kind of an odd cross between a pineapple soda and a cola; interesting flavor in an weird kind of way but good none-the-less. I also ordered a quarter chicken, which came with a side of fries and a "salad" (more on that later on). It took a good solid 20 to 30 minutes for my food to arrive. I almost paid for my soda and left to go eat elsewhere. When the food finally arrived the chicken was piping hot but smallish (for a white meat / breast and wing portion). I will admit that the chicken was really tasty; however, the fries were of the portioning, flavor and consistency of bland Wendy's fries (kind of dissappointing). Also dissapointing: The "salad" was more of a side garnish or burger topping with a dash of some kind of tasty peppery dressing; shredded lettuce, a roma tomato slice and a cucumber slice. Also of note were the condiments in squeeze dispensers: Ketchup of the standard American Variety, some kind of honey mustard / mayo hybrid, and - most notably - a peppery green condiment that resembled wasabe paste called Aji (a-HEE) which was amazingly good. I would say the meal and visit was an overall mixed feelings / mixed bag experience. In a neighborhood chock full of good cheap restaurants I would suggest that you skip this one. Chicken - I really wanted to like this because its supposed to be sublimely spiced and slowly cooked in the big ovens behind the counter. Although the chicken is tasty, I prefer Mexican chicken with its crisp skin. This Peruvian version of roasted chicken seems boiled in texture. The papas fritas are your regular frozen version. The salad, however, is very, very fresh and the spicy aji verde sauce is so good I want them to bottle it and send me a crate every month. I love chicha morada (purple corn boiled with pineapple rind, cinammon and cloves) but theirs is a tad sweet for my liking. Food is great. I got the pollo saltado and it had great flavor and a big portion. Be warned: Service is awful. They'll bring out your drinks and your food and that's about all the service you get. The food is brought out after an outrageous amount of time. A 15% tip is added onto the bill so the staff doesn't have a motivation to treat you well. Worst experience ever. $20 for a horrible tasting rotisserie meal, the wife and kids tasted it, and could not go much further. The tables were sticky, and dirty, yet the worst thing of all was the service, the waitress literally never acknowledge my presence, she did not see if I wanted something to drink, and never took my personal order. Me and my parents and siblings were all hungry and we wanted to go get some Peruvian food . We were so excited to go to a Peruvian restaurant because we are Mexican . The minute we arrived we open the door and stand waiting to be attended , no one said hi to us . They were all staring and it wasn't even busy, so we look around and assume I guess we'll grab a seat . We sat there and then waited for the waiter which was a while , she asked us what we wanted to drink and we let her know . She comes back brings us our canned soda and some cups , we noticed that only two out of 7 cups only had ice. we ordered and then waited for our food , when our food arrived we were like ummm is she going to hand us silverware.. if it weren't for us telling her she probably wouldn't have given us any . we finish up and my dad tells her we are ready for the check and if we could get a to go box , we wait for like 25 minutes and see she is helping others and we are sitting there waiting and waiting , when finally I decide to go up front and pay because she had obviously forgot about us . I pay and we were not going to leave a tip because that service was not worth tipping I'm sorry to say, but come to find out the tip was included in the receipt and was 15% we weren't gonna tip because we just weren't satisfied with our service . Never again. The food used to be really good. I'm a gringo that speaks Spanish, but rather than saying that they don't speak English "you know because we're in the United States" They told me that they're closed and they re-open in 30 mins. I simply asked who the hell opens a restaurant at 12:43pm, when the signs says you're open at 11:30. So I returned and got horrible food.
