    Super Chimi - Chicken
    Karla C.

I did not come in person (ordered through Uber Eats) so I am unable to comment on the place or the people but I can say that the Super Chimi I got was pretty descent. The equivalent of a Mexican Torta or sub, the sandwich had good flavor and the bread was nice, buttered and soft but I felt like it had too much sauce and too much cabbage. I am not hating though, I would go back and try something different since the flavors were not bad.

Holy Holy lord! I found the best Chimi in Atlanta! Just moved here From San Diego, But I am originally from New York and I have not had a Chimi in such a long time. Wow it was amazing. It just melted in my mouth. The owner Carmen is the sweetest. I went this past Friday around 2 AM and we literally spent over an hour there eating and talking to her. She was awesome. Great customer service, great food, good music you cannot go wrong. Try it if you want the best Chimi in Atlanta. Omg and they have Dominican cake!!!

Two stars because the food had so much potential but it tasted awful like it was fried in old oil. Very "fast food" and I couldn't get past the old oil taste. The maduros was soggy and slimey. The empanadas were large but I could get past the old oil taste... almost like oil also used to fry some seafood

Variedad para todos los gustos cuando se trata de Comida callejera dominicana. Cuando está todo cerrado Carmen's kitchen es la mejor opción.

Updated review after the chewing gum. Beans were 75% water too. Not coming back!!!!! Better go the dominican place across the street.

One of our regular spots second best to my dad's chimi! Best Dominican comfort food in the area and they're open late!

It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

The location is in a small plaza with hard time to park because of the amount of businesses around. The restaurant is big with a lot of tables and good for big groups but too dark for my taste, the windows are so dark from outside that if it wasn't for the " open" sign you would think it is close. The food is good, I liked the quality of the chorizo and the skirt steak was grilled properly. I wished the fries were "fresh-cut", I understand that frozen fries are easier but a good steak deserves good fries. Another thing that lowers the experience is that the condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise are in packets like a fast food chain. The service was standard, I had to call my server everytime I wanted a refill. ( even thought the restaurant wasn't full).

I was greeted with a smile and placed an order for an empanada combo. I tried beef, cheese and chicken empanadas. The beef was my favorite. But the others were delicious and my family loved them. The sweet plantains were perfectly cooked. I wished I'd ordered more. The place is just so cute! They have a full variety of Cuban coffee and other sandwiches that I'll be back to try.

It was the exact OPPOSITE! I ordered the lechon with comes with Black beans, rice and plantains. The rice - gummy gelatinous exterior, not fresh. The beans - The slightest of flavor and a 2 out of 5. They were not watery which only good thing about it. The plantains - The only item that was fantastic. It had a burnt slight crisp on the outside and were actually the best plantains I've ever had. I had to mix little bites of them to be able to eat any of the food. The lechon - in the photos they look really good. Even the photo I took did not look the same as in person as it shows on camera. Pale in color (old not fresh), dry and horrible flavor if I can even call it that. What a huge disappointment overall. The good: The girl cashier was nice and helpful when we asked if the dirty table could be cleaned before we sat. It's a cute interior to grab a quick bite. Music was good. They make fresh empanadas to order.
