Came for dinner and I parked in the deck behind the restaurant! They validate parking for two hours. Service here was friendly and attentive! We got the arroz con mariscos and the papas Fritas. The rice was pretty flavorful and it was a good portion. I will say though for $40 there really was not enough seafood in the dish to be called a seafood rice dish. There was two pieces of each seafood, shrimp, calamari and clam. The shrimp was not the freshest in my opinion it tasted a little grainy. But the rice itself was good and flavorful. Papas fritas was just any ordinary fries and it wasn't very hot or crispy but I enjoyed the dipping sauce. Overall, I think this was place was okay, service was nice but the price wasn't very justifiable. I did really enjoy the decor though!

Super awesome and fully authentico Peruvian eats.. this is a go back to for sure. Pricey but worth it.. The tres leches cake was so good in the end. And the parking is validated. Que bueno

We love this place, and have been twice while visiting Atlanta. I hadn't had a pisco sour before visiting this spot, and found that is was delicious. On my second visit I had the passion fruit version, and even more delicious! The Peruvian food, with a twist, is amazing and I can't all out one thing for you to try, other than to try it all, share with friends and family so you can get a bit of everything! The staff is amazing, it is such a fun night - a great way to spend time with the people you enjoy!

Came here on a Saturday night with a group of 6. It was very loud and very busy. I think this place is better if you're with people you know and share food with. This was a meetup dinner, and so not that. I asked the server about the larger dishes, and he said they'd be way too big for one person. The pulpo was almost wet, definitely nothing crispy about it, and wasn't very flavorful. The fries were good. My experience here did not live up anywhere to the hype. I don't know if I'd come back to try it with a different group, but maybe.

WOW! Tried this spot for the first time with a group of friends and was genuinely impressed. The different types of ceviche / crudo was the standout and way better than I expected. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and well done. It honestly would've been a perfect dinner spot if the bread had been complimentary, but that's a small thing. Our waitress was super nice and made the whole experience even more fun. Would definitely come back!

Unfortunately the burger is only available for lunch. I went on a burger quest in the city and surprisingly they were my favorite. So cheesy and the beef is seasoned so well. Also they have a concrete bulldawg outside. Automatic 5 star.

Charming spot with beautiful and tasty dishes! My friend and I had plans to go to Las Brasas for dinner since it was National Ceviche Day. I used to frequent and love that place, and my friend had come across it in her searches, so we decided it was a no-brainer. Unfortunately, when we arrived, they were (temporarily) offering to go service only. We diverted and drove a few miles down the road to Tio Lucho's instead. We headed inside the restaurant, and I looked around at the beautiful decor and ambiance. Although the restaurant had most of the tables filled already, we were seated quickly with no reservation. Pretty good for a Saturday night! We were quickly greeted by our smiling and welcoming waiter. My apologies for his name slipping my mind, as I finally write this review, 8 days later. He was great! For my entree, I got the ceviche mixto. My friend wanted the ceviche nikkei but unfortunately, they had just run out. Instead she got the tuna maki. Both of us loved our dishes! The food is a little on the expensive side, but if you're looking for a cozy date night place, either with your partner or with friends, give this place a try! I look forward to coming back with my fiancé. Hot Tip: They validate parking from the garage behind them! I made the mistake of parking across the street in paid parking, and learned this the hard way, watching my friend get hers comped! Don't be me--be my friend!

I'm certainly adding Tio Lucho's to my favorites in the city after the incredible meal we had! I've been dying to try this place since they opened and have heard all the rave about it. Our group of 8 had dinner on Wednesday night. I did have to e-mail the restaurant since Resy did not allow me book for more than 5 people, but they were quick and responsive about this. The space is beautiful and spacious as soon as you walk in. They have a great patio to enjoy in warmer weather. We did find service to be quite slow, but the food truly made up for it. Our group pretty much tried mostly everything on the menu - ceviche mix, salmon maki, fry bread, tortitas, smoked fish dip, leafy salad, arroz con mariscos, fried catfish a la macho, NC flounder, lomo saltado and pollo a la brasa. There was nothing that we didn't like, but my personal favorites and will probably order over and over again are the fry bread, tortitas (served with a fried pancake), leafy salad (so light and refreshing and loved the dressing), arroz con mariscos (definitely reminds me of paella and served with tons of seafood) and lomo salted (tender beef and that sauce was delish).

A must try spot in Atlanta!! From the incredible ambiance and service to the food and drinks, do not miss this spot! Setting: Located in Virginia Highlands, Tio Lucho's offers indoor and outdoor seating, parking validation, and a bar. Service: We were celebrating a birthday and Lauren (the GM) was incredible. She helped us ensure everything was ready for the reservation and checked in. Food: We started with the frybread and the hamachi crudo, which were both delicious. The mushrooms were definitely not enough for an appetizer, but it was pretty! For our mains, the pollo a la brasa, ceviche mixto, and arroz con mariscos sealed the deal. We will be back!

Almost $200 lovely dinner for friend's birthday!

Nice flowers/decor outside on the patio, and inside is nice, clean and food is pretty good! Had good service, pretty fast and overall authentic Peruvian flavored food. That bread is freshly baked and tasty, expensive though. They do have their own parking in the back, but there is also street paid available.

Came here when we were in town for a work convention. The inside decor is very nice. It was not very busy while we were there and the restaurant appears to be able to accommodate large parties. I wanted to try something unique to their menu so I went with a passionfruit pisco sour. It was delicious and just the right amount of sweet and boozy. I was very fortunate to have gone with a group that does not mind sharing food. The fry bread with the whipped cream cheese and aji pepper jelly or a must! Very delicious. My favorite was the hamachi crudo. It tasted fresh and the presentation was beautiful! I liked the fried snapper but don't do much fried food so it wasn't my favorite but the rest of the table thoroughly enjoyed it. Dessert was also good as well. Service was quick and efficient.

We came across this restaurant while browsing on Resy for somewhere to eat dinner. We made reservations but didn't need them because there was plenty of open tables available. The hostess sat us right away and was pleasant. The decor is nice and bright. The dinner chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they're tolerable. The food menu changes very regularly per the waitress. We were told that 2 of the menu items weren't available. This was disappointing as I heard great things about the chicken. The ceviche was very delicious! The calamari on top had a lot of breading. The halibut was also great as far as the flavor. I wish the halibut was a filet - there were large bones in our halibut and not much meat. The sauce that came with it was delicious! We enjoyed the pisco cocktails also.

I visited this spot over the summer and was so excited to have some Peruvian food. I was really looking forward to the national dish. At the time, I was unable to eat red meat so I was very disappointed when I learned that the lomo saltado was not available as pollo saltado. Everything else that was available to me I combed some version of fried fish. I reluctantly chose a fish that arrived in small portion with small side portions; underwhelming for the price. My meal included fish, collard greens, and a thin saucy combination of beans and calamari pieces. The textures weren't complimentary in my opinion and everything tasted salty. The others in my party were also disappointed and didn't finish their meals. I simply didn't enjoy my meal and nothing about our experience was redeeming; given the incredibly underwhelming experience, I can definitively say I will not be back. I recognize the many positive reviews and hope that others continue to enjoy!

We didn't really need it since the restaurant was pretty empty, but we were a bigger group and didn't want to risk it. The hostess didn't confirm our reservation until about 10 mins prior, which was quite concerning, but everything worked out at the end anyway. Our server was wonderful! It was our first time here and he explained their background and what his favorites were on the menu. We for sure wanted to try the paella, so went ahead and ordered that first, with the carretillero ceviche, mixed empanadas (chicken and beef) and patatas bravos to start. The ceviche was delicious and fresh. Loved the fried calamari and all the toppings it was served with. The empanadas were also delicious and was served with a very spicy sauce! The patatas braves had a nice, smoky flavor. Now for entree, I ordered the veggie chaufa. Our server may have been a little biased as he preferred the Peruvian side of the menu, more so than the Cuban side. My dish was easily good for 2-3 people. It had tons of veggies and scrambled egg, plus served with a side of fried plantains. Our group ordered a bunch of other dishes and tried some of them. The churrasco steak was a little chewy but loved the chimichurri it was served with. The parrillada de mariscos was so good too, and my personal fave was the grilled octopus! Personally, I would opt for this instead of the valenciana paella. You essentially get the same types of seafood. I love that we got to dine at this hidden gem! We truly enjoyed our experience and will be back for sure.

Parking is not validated by the restaurant but there is a deck nearby with ample parking. Even from the outside, the restaurant is a vibe. It's got an indoor/outdoor thing going on which makes you feel like you've been transported abroad. It also means that it doesn't retain air conditioning... and they had a few industrial fans blowing. Great idea in theory but not so great in practice. The table where we were seated was uncomfortably close to other diners and felt cramped the entire time. We ordered three dishes to share and there was barely any room on the table. On the plus side, our server was lovely and took the time to ask us about our familiarity with Peruvian food and outline some standouts on the menu. I didn't mention this to him but the menu online doesn't seem to match what they had in person... for example I remember seeing a Colombian empanada option (which drew me there in the first place) on the website. Cocktails and food came out really fast. We had the ceviche mixto, octopus, and chaufa for food and I had the mango jungle water to drink. The prices were pretty high for the portion size of the food. The ingredients tasted fresh (the fish of the day was mahi mahi) and the flavor was there. The octopus had nice char but wasn't as tender as I would have liked. I'm not a big eater so these three dishes were enough for the two of us and we opted to go to the Asian bakery next door for dessert instead of getting something here. Honestly I would recommend Tio Lucho's hands down for ceviche and Peruvian cuisine. It was fun to try something new and different at Madre Selva but I just don't think the food measures up. Tio Lucho's is much closer to the Peruvian food that I know from my time living in Miami. I can't speak to the authenticity beyond that. Madre Selva did seem like it would be a lot of fun for a large group and/or when the weather is tolerable. The ambiance is incredible. On a related note... I don't think I've been down to the Lindbergh MARTA station since college and I was totally floored to see all of the restaurants and developments in the area (Tongue and Groove is still a thing?!). The benefit of going to Madre Selva is that you can take a stroll and visit some of the other nearby businesses as well.
