The food took another 30 minutes to get to the table. The tamarind juice was warm and thick, which was unusual to me, the food was just ok, and, it was very hot inside the restaurant. The best thing was seeing the support from the community. There were so many people dressed up with Puerto Rican flags on their clothes and even their cars. There were lots of smiles and laughter, and that's what it's really about. Yes, there were some things that they could improve, but this is a small business and they just opened, so try to be patient and give them some grace :) Often times, when it comes to cultural cuisines, the camaraderie and sense of community is more important than fancy decor and other frills, so keep that in mind.
