Wish every restaurant could be like Pollo Primo! Not only was the service quick and friendly, but the food was delicious too! Highly recommend ordering a side of guac to eat with your chicken - some of the best restaurant guac I've had. The covered outdoor patio was lovely for a Spring day, with plenty of barstool seating for smaller groups. 5/5 recommend!

10/10 would recommend! this has been on my list of places to try and im so glad i finally came! normally i prefer sitting indoors, which they did have as an option, but i honestly loved their outdoor seating area. it is partially covered so there is also some shade for when it gets hot and sunny out. the service was fast and their staff was very friendly. i ordered the 1/4 bird dark meat meal and the chicken was juicy and well seasoned. not pictured, but i also ordered a side of guacamole and it was fantastic - and i am VERY picky about my guac. not to mention all the prices felt very reasonable. will definitely be coming back!

Very nice restaurant! It reminds me of Pollo Tropical, which we no longer have in Atlanta. The atmosphere is authentically comfortable, the service was superb, and the prices are very reasonable. I especially love that it's located in Atlanta proper. The chicken was delicious and seasoned perfectly. I'll definitely be back!

I had a feeling the food was going to be good when we walked in. The parking lot was pretty full, there were customers dining both inside and outside. There was also a steady flow of customers picking up orders inside and at the drive up window. The restaurant itself is clean, and the staff is efficient. We ordered the Whole Bird Combo to go. It came with rice, beans, tortillas, chips, guacamole, and salsa. Our family absolutely loved it. The chicken had a delicious seasoning on it, and it was super moist. The sides were also good. Especially the beans and tortillas. Yum! Great food at a great price. We fed our family for around $35 and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Pollo primo is just consistently good. The service, the ambience-- can't go wrong with this Atlanta staple! The chicken is a 10/10 and so are the rice and beans. The elote is a skip for me, but otherwise everything on the menu is amazing. Worth the try!

I've seen Pollo Primo touted over social media for some time now which had me really excited to try this as I'm a big fan of any type of slow roasted chicken...I mean who isn't, right? I was in luck as I got here in time to try their lunch special which I believe was a 1/4 chicken, rice, beans, chips, salsa, and a drink (horchata). The chicken looked magnificent, but to my surprise, I felt it lacked not only flavor, but salt. I actually felt that way about everything I ordered. I was a bit surprised and confused at how that could be considering the color of the chicken. I'm willing to try this place again though!

This place is settled on bustling Moreland Avenue near 20E in Atlanta. There is some parking on the lot but not much if it's packed. It's decorated really cute inside and you walk right up to place your order. Theres indoor and patio seating as well. The service was good when I went, which was only once. Now the food...cooked to perfection! I mean cooked perfectly it looked absolutely amazing but the flavor was missing for me. This chicken quarter was cooked so beautifully that I ate it jist because of that, but was disappointed that there just wasn't any flavor. I felt tricked. The sides of beans and rice were just ok. I usually never say this about any place but it just wasn't hitting! If that chicken had more seasoning then they would've hit the mark, but unfortunately it didn't do it for me. And I don't need a lot of seasoning, but this was definitely under seasoned. I wouldnt go back simply because it was too expensive to be lacking flavor. If you must, go and try for yourself, but I've forewarned you!

This was a different experience for me. The food was awesome. Not a typical Mexican restaurant , more like latin American. Serving Chicken, beans and rice-as main food choice. The service was friendly and the ambiance was laid back. They do accept apple pay , the eating areas are tight. A party of 4 is max at tables. You will use a lot of napkins lol . Bring some wipes for your hands and travel in single vehicle because parking is tight. Most definitely would go back.

I love when a place has a small menu, you know they've perfected their craft. So happy to have finally stopped in after a year of driving by! Pleasantly surprised that we found a parking spot in their small lot, but there's a bit of room and we got lucky! We visited on a Tuesday during dinner hours (around 6:30pm) and it was fairly busy, the line was moving and people were churning in and out, but keep this in mind as it's a pretty popular spot it seems! Inside there are only a few booths, with more seating outside, just prepare as it may be hot in the sun! There are ceilings fans for part of the patio, and some shade umbrellas, but it is hot in the Georgia sun. For drinks, we had the horchata and the agua fresca, both were very good! As a side we ordered chips with guacamole to share, the portion of chips and guacamole was extremely generous and they tasted great and home made. For meals, we both ordered 1/4 dark meals, they come with rice, beans, two tortillas, two sauces, and a pico de gallo. The chicken was delicious--juicy and well seasoned, the sauces both had great flavor and added some heat to the meal, the pico was fresh and bright, the beans perfectly seasoned, rice cooked to perfection and balanced the meal perfectly, and the hand made tortillas are to die for. Eat them plain or make mini tacos with them, you can't go wrong! I absolutely loved our visit! Reasonably priced for fresh and very filling food! Staff was friendly and food was served pretty quickly, too. Counter service.

You cannot go wrong with this spot. Love the vibe, very friendly staff and a cool gimmick where they announce orders with a microphone hanging from the ceiling, very fun. Chicken is great , the beans were to die for and the tortillas are a perfect compliment to everything. Free lollipops too!

I drove 40 minutes to try this place today and it was a waste of time and effort. I placed a simple pickup order and it became a whole song and dance. One guy was manning the online orders and didn't even acknowledge me. There were tons of orders just sitting on their platform and no one calling out the names on the tickets. One guy was just there dancing with his cellphone instead of working. A guy walked in behind me and was immediately attended to, which I thought was odd, but very telling. The girl at the drive through then starts telling me my order will be a few minutes more. I point behind her to the order sitting on the platform with my name on it. She didn't even check for it. To add insult to injury, I got home and the meal was tasteless and dry. It's as if they took the chicken out of the packet threw salt and pepper on it then wrapped it up. I know 12 year olds that could prepare better food and WITH seasoning. The sauces didn't help, they were basically water. I will not be back and hate that I went.

I went on a holiday, which was super busy, but even so, service was prompt and attentive. I ordered a pasaflora to drink, which had a beautiful flower in it, queso blanco with chips, al pastor mushroom tacos, chochoyotes, and flan for dessert. Every single dish was inspired, layered with flavor, creative, and truly unique. The presentation was also lovely and each bite felt thoughtful and well-executed. I would order everything a million times over! One thing that especially stood out was the flan's texture, which was silky, delicate, and perfectly balanced. I was also pleasantly surprised to see fried green tomatoes on the menu. It felt like such a special nod to the restaurant's Southern location, blending regional influence in a really cool way. The owner was super nice, which made the experience even better. The decor is gorgeous and so inviting, with intimate, cozy lighting. The whole space feels clean, artistic, and thoughtfully designed. This is an amazing date-night spot that I truly hope sticks around for a long, loooong time. Everything about the atmosphere and experience makes it perfect for a special evening out. I'm already planning to go back and explore more of the menu, but based on my first visit alone, I might even dare to say this is the best vegan restaurant in Atlanta. The jury's still out, but I'm more than happy to keep doing the research to confirm!! lol Last thing I'll say is that I was so grateful not to have to wade through a bunch of non-vegan menu options to figure I it what I could actually order. I also don't have to wonder if my food was being cooked next to a slab of dead animal, which is not the case most places I go. So, thank you for being ALL vegan. The food is so good that there is no chance a non-vegan will feel they've missed out on meat anyway. Logistical stuff: I saw a little bit of street parking, but not a ton. Parking in the deck is definitely the easiest option. You could theoretically bike/skate the Beltline and just walk a couple of blocks to get there. The space is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend making a reservation to be safe if you're visiting on a Friday/Saturday night.

It was a rainy day and my dad and I had arrived before I started grad school at Ga Tech. Our server was an Electrical Engineering student at Tech. It was appreciated after the typical chaos of moving to a new city that he happened over here my dad and I talking and he shared he went to Tech. Over the 2 decades since, I've brought friends who live here and from outside the city to enjoy the great serving and kitchen staff. My wife and I have been many times including on the restaurant's anniversary night last fall. We are sorry to hear the landlord has decided to raise the rent and sell the property. Heather has been our server multiple times. She was our server tonight as we celebrated my wife's birthday with her parents, aunt and sister. From calamari to the desert platter and entrees in between, the food was incredible. The fried lobster tails are a must. The mouse has been my wife's favorite for years. The one note is Jacob the General Manager needs to learn to trust his servers. At the beginning of the meal I let Heather know despite being a party of 7 to just bring the check to me and I'll settle up with the other guests via Venmo. And, at as we were finishing dessert, Heather came by letting me know the next party for our table was had arrived and could she bring our check. I said yes. While Heather was getting our check ($490 Food & $600+ after tip) the Manager came by telling us we needed to finish up and have our check brought. When I asked the Manager to not make this an unpleasant experience and that coming by after Heather had just communicated the situation and I had agreed she told me I should share this feedback with the General Manager. She, Jacob (GM), and I stood on the front patio where I explained what I'm sharing now: Trust your Servers. He said they were front facing and so the management likes to meet the guests. Having your Manager tell us we need to get our check and leave is not the way to meet your guests. Chef Jack and his wife (the owners) are hospitable and trust and appreciate their staff. Jacob having his Manager micromanage the servers management of tables is nowhere close the focus on service the owners have had for 26 years. I hope that Jacob and the Manager take this as a learning moment that if you hire talented people your trust talented people to bring their talents to their job. Sure it was busy. But, that's why Chef Jack hired the staff he hired. Jacob the GM needs to increase the communication with his talented team instead of using the excuse of being front facing to ever overstep their bounds on the relationship his servers have built with his guests. Heather introduced herself when we sat down. Jacob did not - nor should he have. Heather did a phenomenal job making us feel welcome, have food and drink we enjoyed, and even recognizing my wife's birthday with her favorite desert. And when the time came she handled coordinating bringing the bill and having us free the table so a new group could enjoy an evening at Agave. Jacob and the Manager need to trust their staff more. Micro-management is never a good look for your staff's morale or your guests' impressions. Please go see them for Jan 31st 2026 when they close. The servers are all wonderful as are the owners. And the food is like nothing else in Atlanta. The management simply needs to trust the talented staff from front to back of house with whom they get to work. If they're ever in doubt if a server is either providing the level of service they expect or turning tables at the rate needed to keep pace with reservations then talk to the server. The server needs to own their tables. Management should truly be of service to their staff - and you can only do that with trust and communication. Customers should never know management had a single question if the sever was doing what's needed. Because it's a bad look to come by twice about being the check. Especially when the 2nd time is in between the 1st ask if they could and the server bring the check. Of note, I already had my credit card out so that I could hand it to Heather as soon as she returned with the check. And in front of the manager, I handed Heather my credit card. Everything else was great. But, why rush guests?

I could have happily ordered a full bowl as my main dish and left completely satisfied. For my entrée, I went with the Original Paella. Overall, it was very enjoyable and nicely seasoned. The flavors were there, and it was definitely pleasing to eat. I will say, I was expecting a bit more protein. Everything tasted good, but a slightly more generous portion of protein would have taken it to the next level for me. I'd give the paella an 8/10. We also tried the Enchiladas de Pollo. The flavor was definitely there -- the seasoning and filling were enjoyable -- but the tortillas didn't seem as fresh as I'd hoped. Because of that, the enchiladas lost some of their structure and would fall apart before you could really get a solid bite with your fork. It didn't ruin the dish, but it did take away a bit from the overall experience. The atmosphere was really nice. They offer seating on the first floor (inside and outside), plus a second-floor outdoor option. If you're worried about being cold upstairs, don't be -- they have ceiling heaters, which is a thoughtful touch. We went during lunch, so it wasn't too busy, and it felt relaxed. I can only imagine how charming it must feel at night with the city views -- I'd definitely love to come back in the evening to experience that. The food came out quickly, which is always appreciated, and parking wasn't too bad to find. I could see it being a little more challenging during peak hours, but for us, it worked out well. Overall, I'd give this place a 4.2/5. I'd absolutely return -- especially for that chicken soup -- and I'm excited to explore more of the menu next time.
