There were lots of smiles and laughter, and that's what it's really about. Yes, there were some things that they could improve, but this is a small business and they just opened, so try to be patient and give them some grace :) Often times, when it comes to cultural cuisines, the camaraderie and sense of community is more important than fancy decor and other frills, so keep that in mind. We originally found them on social media and couldn't stop thinking about their Churrasco Fries. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by an incredibly warm, upbeat cashier whose energy instantly made us even more excited to order. We ordered the Churrasco Fries ($17) and the Colombian Street Corn Bowl ($13). Let's start with the star of the show: the Churrasco Fries -- 5/5. These fries were everything we hoped for and more. The fries themselves were golden, crispy, and fresh out of the fryer with that perfect crunch on the outside and fluffy interior. The steak was juicy, tender, and packed with smoky, savory flavor--grilled to absolute perfection. The chimichurri added a bright, herby freshness that balanced the richness of the meat beautifully, while the rosada aioli and creamy garlic sauce layered in a tangy, slightly garlicky indulgence. The cotija cheese tied it all together with a salty, crumbly finish. Every bite was loaded, flavorful, and satisfying--honestly hard to stop eating. Now, onto the Colombian Street Corn Bowl -- 2/5. I really had high hopes for this because I love corn, and the ingredients sounded amazing on paper. The corn itself was juicy, plump, and tender with bursts of natural sweetness, and the mix of lettuce, onions, and crispy potato straws added a nice contrast of textures. The cotija cheese gave it a salty touch, and the sauces made it creamy--but unfortunately, the pineapple glaze completely overpowered the dish. I think this dish would be significantly better with a spicy kick--something like hot Cheetos flakes or a chili-based seasoning would balance it out and elevate the whole bowl.
