Empanadas soup and goat.
Valarie H.

The food was absolutely amazing the salad was really good the soup had lots meat and veggies very flavorful . I had the goat my husband had the soup. We had empanadas beef and chicken.. these were just ok. Plantains were plentiful and perfectly cooked. The beans were so amazing we had to order an extra cup. White rice was yummy and it came with the soup and goat. The service was lacking no asked if the food was good and they forgot a portion of our meal. Ambiance is family style. There were plenty of Spanish people so the food was very authentic.

I'm Dominican and this is my go to restaurant when I want Dominican food. They are always quick and so sweet! They also have a buffet option so if you are ever too hungry to wait the food can be served immediately. Plenty of parking in the front.

OMG, we loved it!! I liked the baked chicken seasoned nicely (more than the red stewed chicken) and yellow rice/peas...sorry for not calling the right names of the dishes. The mofongo was pretty good, but not my thing. K liked the stewed goat more than the beef and I liked the ox tails. Jose provided awesome service! You can look at all the food like cafeteria style, but then they bring you the food to the table. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean! The only thing was they charged 15% tip for large party but it was only 3 of us. Then, K didn't look at the receipt and tipped again 18%! Good thing it's the holidays...have a good one!

Receipt

These are quid pro quo reviews ! Beware of double charges and dishonest behavior here ! I was charged twice for the same meal and when I brought it to their attention -- with receipts proving the duplicate charge -- the staff acted as if it never happened. Instead of resolving the issue, they escalated it unnecessarily and even called the police on me for calmly requesting a refund. Absolutely unacceptable. I have full documentation of the double charge and will be reporting this fraudulent behavior to the appropriate consumer protection agencies. Proceed with caution !!! To make matters worse, I've been a repeat customer -- and the way I was treated is beyond fucking me! Being dismissed and criminalized instead of having a clear billing error corrected is outrageous. You'll never see another cent from me. Ever.

This mom and pops restaurant is absolutely amazing. I agree with the person who said if I could give them 10 stars I would. The service is amazing. The quality and portion size is amazing. I had the fried snapper with green plantains and salad and enjoyed it. Can't wait to try my 4 Leche cake when I get home. Definitely going back before I go back home to Tampa. Amazing staff super sweet. The food is well seasoned. Definitely recommend this restaurant. These were the best mojitos I have had. Passion fruit mojitos.

Food it is great, service it is the thing every time I returned to this restaurant.

I've been going to Versace for a while now. I good friend of mines put me on. I've been hooked ever since. I recommend Versaces to anyone who enjoys food. I typically always get the same thing but the have other options I've tried and I'm always impressed. The staff is amazing. Even with a language barrier they always have a smile on their face. The restaurant is also pretty large. Def a place for family and large parties.

23 plus dollars of oxtail and rice.

The service was horrible, manager unbelievable, the portions ridiculous. I paid for more food than what I received. . I order a whole plate of oxtail and I got what I would order for a lunch portion. Also the side salads omg. Do better

Hands down the best Dominican Restaurant in Atl! I am from Dominican Republic, I know what the authentic Dominican food is like. Let's just say, this is pretty much it but not in DR. The food is always full of flavor, no need for salt or pepper. You can straight dive into the food. They have so much options, I will be doing a video or pictures of it next time. If you like Spanish food, this is the place to go!

In one word: AWESOME! The food was flavorful and the service was top notch. I had the stewed beef and my wife had the salmon. Shout out to our server Jose. You rock!

Even with an empty restaurant, they can't even have a uber/ DoorDash order ready for pick up. Food mid as well, kinda wack place.

I've had better Dominican food. The mofongo was a bit dry. The ambiance was familiar and made you feel at home.

I ordered a Paella. The lobster was so rubbery and smelled "fishy". It made the entire dish taste really fishy.

I married a 100% Dominican woman from the island that lived in Washington Heights after she left DR. This place has great food. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Some left a bad review because they said they ordered a quesadilla and fries that were OK. If you come to a Dominican restaurant and order a quesadilla and fries I'm sorry you are an idiot and know nothing about the culture or what to eat. So the ambiance. Is it a 5 star restaurant? No. Stop complaining about what they have to wipe your hands in the bathroom. If you are looking for a fine dining experience then go to Midtown. It's small, the music is LOUD at night and it gets crowded. If you don't like that vibe then go somewhere else. I've been to eat during the day when it's pretty empty and at night when it's packed. Service has always been good with longer waits if you go when there is a concert or an event at night. The food....very good. The only Dominican food I've had that is better has been food my wife cooked, my mother in law cooked or food in the Heights in New York. Definitely the most authentic Dominican spot here in Atlanta. The picadera is SO GOOD. Their beans taste just as good as what I get at home. My wife loves the Mondongo which is hard to make. Rabo is good so are the bistecs, the chuletas and the chicken I've eaten. I haven't tried the Mangu but my wife says it's good and she makes it AMAZING. I've said this before on reviews and will say it again. You have people expecting to get food like DR. Sorry people but we aren't in DR. We aren't in Washington Heights. I'd love to have it that good here but it's not going to happen. It's still doesn't make it bad. The food here is consistently good and I go often with my wife. Get the Picadera Dominicana. Best thing there.

So far my mom and I have tried the beef empanadas, the salad, the side order rice, the Plato Montañero, arepa ropavieja, the lentil soup, and the huge Tamal Antioqueno. I believe this is the only Colombian restaurant I've ever tried food from, so I have nothing to compare it to so far. However, every single item we've tried has been in excellent quality - great flavors and portions for reasonable prices. Everything we have ordered so far we would get again. My favorite items from this place are the Colombian pork tamal and the rice they serve. The tamal is moist and loaded with meat and veggies. It reminds me of Puerto Rican or Dominican pasteles a little bit compared to Mexican tamales. I love them all! The delivery service has always been great thru third parties at this establishment. Haven't had any issues so far, and the orders have been accurate and wrapped well to avoid spills even with the soups. I would definitely continue to order from here and would like to try more items over time.
