Hello all, I never like giving less than perfect reviews but I think this time calls for it. I order from Cava quite often and have always loved the quality and freshness of your food. Today, I decided to try the new salmon and strawberry option, and I also introduced my partner to Cava for the first time. I ordered the salmon bowl, and she ordered a grilled chicken bowl. She picked up the order, and when I opened mine, I immediately noticed that the portion was significantly smaller than what I usually receive. The bowl was not even half full--there was very little rice and only a small amount of spinach (honestly, I could count the leaves). I called the resturant a few times and did not get an answer. The message advised me to send a message to support. Not sure if anyone will ever get back to me. I tried to dial the restuarant again and finally someone picked up. The person on the other end did not sound that interested in hearing about the experience and I was in no way rude about it. He said that they were instructing their staff to adhear to the correct portion size. Does this mean the dish would be cut in half? If so, it is no longer worth the money. And how disappointed I was to rave about a place and finally get my partner to try it on the day they were cutting portions in half. Well honey be ready to wait in line the food is worth the hype . We can here because Ive been looking to try it for a while so here i was jumped in line at a reasonable time. The place was decent no real ambiance. They had a few seating options, a cooler with drinks options and two basic fountain drinks machines. One of the drinks area had 3 different types of flavors fancy fresh squeezed drinks . I had the green one it was pretty good just wish they had better size cups. The food was a 8/10 i can't remember what we had but that's exactly why my photos will be attached below . I kept hearing about this place called Cava, but no one could tell me what is was. I did later find out that it was Mediterranean food so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Quite a few people that I have spoke to that went there had a hard time describing what type of restaurant it is. Now that I have gone there I can say if you have been to Chipotle you have been to Cava. Think of it as a Mediterranean Chipotle. My daughter and I went here and she basically ordered on line so it would be ready when we got there. She says if you don't preorder you have to wait for a long time to get service. Maybe she was right, when we got there we only had to wait a minute or so and the food was ready. We did sit down to eat but the drink selection was less desirable for me. I would have liked regular coke, fanta, lemonade or anything like that. When I was at the drink station I did not see those choices. To me if felt like the choices were leaning more towards "healthy" choice so maybe that was why I didn't enjoy them. The drinks were a little weird to me and not sweet enough. I tried them all just to see what they tasted like and I have to say they really were not enjoyable. None of them. I think I ended up just getting the root beer but it wasn't your regular root beer. Since I don't know what I ordered (since my daughter ordered) The food was enjoyable. The pitas were good too, I would have liked more of them but I think they were complimentary so you get what you get. She ordered some bowls and they were nice sized portions. The restaurant itself was clean. There weren't many people inside but all the tables were clean and it was quite inside as well. I did not have any issues on this visit so my interaction with staff was almost none. I may go here again just to try some other items on the menu but if Ido I have to make sure to bring my own drink or at least ask for a water because again the drink selection was not a good one for me. read more

This is the 3rd time we've been to Cava. This place is amazing! It really doesn't matter what you order or how you build your bowl or pita. The ingredients are fresh and everything is cooked to perfection. Order online or in person. The helpful staff is the icing on the cake. My friends took me here for the first time, and I ended up coming back on my own two more times. You really can't go wrong with Mediterranean food. I tried the build-your-own salad and everything tasted fresh, especially the hummus. The place was clean but usually pretty busy. Got lunch for 2nd time there on Friday. My 1st visit a few months ago, I thought my food was really good. Didn't want it to end. The portion was just fine. This past time in, my bowl was 2/3 full at best. The food was fine, but not anywhere as good as I thought it was the 1st time. For the price you pay, they should fill the bowl to the top. Final straw with this location. I ordered a pick up order and what do you know? Half of my ingredients that are supposed to be in my bowl are not there. I'm so disappointed with my experience with the Snellville Cava location. Placed my order for pick-up, drove 15+ minutes in the rain to arrive at the location and all of the to-go orders were sitting behind the counter, not on the shelf for easy access and to allow customers to get in and out quickly like they do at all other Cavas. I stood in line for 5-10 minutes as the only employee working the counter assisted another customer. When another employee who was attending to the dining room area walked past me on her way into the kitchen, I had to stop her and ask her if she could hand me my order. Upon me arriving back home, we noticed that all 3 of our orders had been prepared wrong. None of them had corn, one had lettuce although we did not request any. The portion sizes were so small they did not even fill the bowls halfway. I attempted to call the store to notify them of the error with the food and received no answer on 3 attempted calls. I also attempted to send a message to support but the system would not allow me to select the Snellville location, would not scroll past AZ. First and last time going to this location. read more

It is sad that they have that chipotle mentality when it comes to serving size and what's considered extra. Especially when you don't eat meat and just want to make sure your bowl is still flavorful and filling. The veggies are always burnt and rarely fresh. The falafels are dry and cold and the pita quality has come down drastically from when they first opened. They are either too oily and extra crispy or dry and cold, which is bad when you don't check until you get home. I will also say that this is not the theme across all CAVAs so I hope this location can fix these issues so the experience gets better. read more

So this is my 3rd time coming to this location and they always are out of ingredients. Today I went around 7pm and they were out of almost all the toppings. They don't close until 10pm. I normally wouldn't say anything and I know it can get busy around the holidays, but like I said, this is my 3rd time having this same issue at this location. It's close to my home so I would prefer to go to this location, but at this point it's better to just drive to the Buford location. Think of this place in terms of a Mediterranean "chipotle/moes" type place CAVA apparently originates from Zoe's Kitchen so most of their locations have been replaced with a CAVA. I was never a fan of Zoe's but I am a fan now of CAVA since I gave in to all the tiktok hype. This place can be intimidating when you're new and UberEats doesn't list all the rice or salad types so it was difficult to know how to order. So you can choose a bowl that they will make according to their recipes or you can build your own. I chose to make my own! You start with: - Base: saffron rice, healthier rice alt., argula, romaine, grains; you can get 1/2 and 1/2 here - limit of 3 scoops of the pastes, these scoops are tiny - protein - you can get 1/2 and 1/2 here - unlimited toppings - limit of 2 sauces/dressings - you can get a free pita with a bowl but they did not inform me so I will get it next time (bowl premade and byo $10.95) - soda machine with their own sodas such as Mexican soda, blueberry soda, etc., lemonades, teas ($2.25) So! I personally got basmati saffron rice/arugula, harissa paste, baba ghanouj (eggplant), crazy feta, grilled lemon chicken, tried some of the vegetables, all the toppings, garlic sauce, tahini herb dressing + cup for a drink. The bowl was good I liked the smokiness from the eggplant and the sauces were delicious. CAVA is really good but in comparison with homemade or mom and pop places for this type of bowl I'd prefer the latter. I do take my time with them as I'm sure any assembly line work is stressful enough. I'm going to give them a little more time to improve but they need some work in the speed category. However, as we started to eat, I noticed that I had lentils in my bowl which I didn't order. My nephew and I compared our bowls and discovered that some of his ingredients were in my bowl and vice versa. Based on the glowing reviews from previous experiences of my nephew and sister, I'll try them again but this was a very poor first impression for my Veterans Day meal.
