There was literally two guys running the entire thing, and they were killing it! The food was on point despite the high pressures they had to be under. We ordered our food to go. read more

Real Olive - Grilled Grouper - Mediterranean Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

Attended a private event for a birthday celebration. Food and service were excellent.

I usually go to a place in Metro Atlanta called Mediterranean Grill at lunchtime to get the combination platter because it's a good price with plenty of food that taste good, this place had the same type combination platter that tasted even better than the restaurant I already love, I totally recommend them and I am definitely going back . read more

I LOVE this restaurant!! It is a family-run establishment and the family is very nice. The restaurant is usually very clean, but you can tell they get slammed every now and then. I went in one time and literally every seat was taken! And they have a very heavy take-out business thanks to the hospital. I admit, this is one of my family's favorite restaurants literally since the day they opened. The food is fantastic. I grew up eating a lot of Mediterranean food and this is some of the best I've had since I left home. The food is always fresh and I love the mixed grill platter. The kaftas are done to perfection with the outside a little crisp and the inside nice and tender. The beef shish kabobs are also cooked beautifully with very tender meat. I've never had the gyro meat dry which happens at some other places that serve gyros. To me, the best way to tell how fresh the food is at a restaurant is by looking at the raw veggies - the lettuce, cucumbers, etc., and those are ALL very fresh and crisp. I've never had wilted lettuce from here. The baklava is wonderful and they have pistachio and walnut. The ambiance is very nice without being overly dark, industrial, or any other "chic" version. They have some very nice Middle Eastern decorations and the booths are comfy. A great restaurant and very worth the visit. read more

Today's lunch was a complete disappointment, and overpriced to boot. We ordered Beef Shawarma Sandwich and Shish Kabob sandwich. Only one table was occupied upon our entry, but our order took a surprisingly long time to prepare. The meat in both sandwiches was tough and old-tasting. The Greek potatoes didn't taste Greek; rather more like square French fries. Personnel was inattentive, impersonal and listless in their execution. There was no designated basket or container to dump your dirty silverware and meal baskets. My wife and I have eaten at Real Olive a number of times in the past and were quite pleased with those visits, but it has been at least a year since our last visit. Best I can tell, the place is under new management or new ownership. I can tell you - today's experience was a stark contrast to what we had come to expect. The highlight of my meal today was the Coke Zero. I am confident we will not return. read more

Delicious food | Great service | Quick I just moved to the area and then I saw a post on Facebook about this restaurant giving 10% off if you show a screenshot of the Facebook post. I love Mediterranean food so I wanted to go try it. My husband and I shared the Lunch Special: Mixed Grill Platter that comes with kufta kabob, Shish kabob and gyro slices plus two sides (we picked Greek Salad and Tabouleh (+$1). We also ordered a small hummus plate. While my husband was paying, I saw that they had Baklawa and then the sweet girl that works (owns?) there gave us some to try. It was very nice of her! Everything was delicious! Meat was tasty and tender, hummus was amazing, and my husband loved the Tabouleh! Definitely coming back here!! read more

I was very disappointed upon walking in....so much so that my family and I turned around and left without ordering. The pictures featured are from over 10years ago and the place has not held up. There were no customers seated inside and yet there was a table filled with dirty dishes and uneaten food. There was debris on the floor and a very unappealing odor. Maybe it was a very off day. read more

We ate here twice while caring for a relative at Northside Hospital. The food was delicious! There was something for everyone-the vegetarians and the meat eaters. Generous portions. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful. We had the vegetarian platter, gyro, veggie wrap and chicken platter. All yummy! read more

Food: excellent; tasted authentic; good price Service: really good; the older gentleman quickly shared his thoughts on what we should get for first time diners there. Ambiance: nice and clean. A huge metal tray with very detailed carvings sits on a table in the corner. read more

I love their Mixed Grill Platter. It's got a little bit of everything abd it's always well prepared!

I was in the mood for Mediterranean food and my normal spot was closed to my surprise. I knew Real Olive was nearby so I decided to give them a try. I was a bit confused by the menu but the guy taking my order helped me through the process. I was able to order right away as there wasn't a line. I enjoyed the food it was different than I'm used to but hit the spot. read more

Delicious! Very fresh hummus. Pita was nice and warm. All the steak, gyro and sausages hot and delicious. Really liked the food! The restaurant itself could use some upkeep, but I wouldn't let that keep you from the good food read more

I recently stopped by here for the first time. I had a meeting with some Palestinians who spoke highly about this place. When trying it, I had the humus (that's a small size) and The Sirloin Gyro. The hummus was very good and authentic. Gyro was very good with the right amount of white sauce. Had wanted to try soup but I think they were out when I was there Prices are affordable and when there in a Sunday I saw loads of people ordering food to go. I'd for sure come back here to try other stuff. read more

Price range is $8-15 per person. The inside is kind of dingy and there's no music playing which gives it a dull vibe. The menu is right at the cash register and is just a laminated piece of paper. This can be kind of annoying as a first time customer making a decision. read more

Real Olive - Chicken Shawarma Sandwich - Mediterranean Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

Very disappointing place in my opinion. I love gyro places & heard this was good so gave it a try. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter, which comes with rice & salad, and the bean appetizer. The rice tasted odd and was bland at the same time, did not have the seasoning it usually should. The chicken was so bland & dry, no flavor. The salad was the only good thing. The tzaziki sauce was bland as well. The bean appetizer tasted like they dumped a can of beans into a bowl & sprinkled few herbs on top. Very disappointing, never coming back. read more

My cousin and I came here today for dinner. We got the lamb/beef gyro and shrimp sandwich. Both were very good. The staff is kind and friendly. They were honest when I asked if their meat is halal (no) which was appreciated. Menu is easy to read. Atmosphere is clean and spacious. Plenty of parking. Affordable prices. Will return. 6/17/17 I came with a group of friends for iftar, hearing they have iftar buffet. We called few hours earlier to let them know a group of 7 is coming for iftar. It is recommended to do that so they have idea how much to cook for. The iftar was delicious! They have so much items- different kinds of meat (beef, lamb, chicken), rice, hummus, salad, lentil soup, fruits, etc. It is $17 per person and worth it for the quality of food you get, plus buffet. If they run out certain item, you can request for more and they will make it for you. read more

This gem came into my life after driving past it for like the last year! I had a crazy hankering for good falafel. It was busy when I walked in, which I always take as a good sign. I was greeted with a smile which always goes a long way for me! The falafel platter had like 5 or 6 huge falafel balls. I told myself not to eat it all but I couldn't help it :( the pita bread was so fresh as well!!!!! I loved the authentic ambience too. read more

Avoid this scam of a restaurant. I've been eating there practically since they opened. Today I placed an online order, which I've started to do because they've gotten so slow. When I showed up 45 minutes after they were supposed to have opened, the doors were locked and the lights were off. Now, when I've contacted them for a refund they're claiming I picked up the order and refusing to give my money back. I couldn't even get inside because the doors were locked! read more

The floor is a little sticky and it looks a bit rough inside but the staff is great and the food is delicious! I've ordered all sorts of items here and always been pleased. I highly recommend Real Olive especially if you're looking for a quick lunch spot that will leave you feeling satisfied. read more

Now! I haven't been to many Mediterranean restaurants. But!!!!! I have been looking and passing this place for a while. And before they made this spot a home, I was hoping that a nice restaurant would come to the area. Once I saw that it was going to be a Mediterranean spot, I was thrilled.......thinking something different on my palate for a change. Well!!!! Yelpers I finally made it my duty to stop in and get a take out for lunch. However!!! I was about 30 to 40 minutes late of catching the end of the 3:00 lunch specials. So! That was fine, I figure I'm long over due for my Mediterranean food fix anyway. When I got there the place was empty not a soul in the place. Of course I looked over that an placed my order. I can say I was greeted by who I guess is the manager. I ordered The grilled Grouper (which was very dry and the rice), also I ordered the large Greek salad ( which had a lot of water underneath the large rib lettuce leaves) Smh!!!!! :(' I can't really say I'll be going back right away. But I really do like giving restaurants a second chance....If! They situation deserves one. And I figure maybe I caught them just as they was getting ready for the dinner rush. read more

Real Olive - What's left of the watery large rib lettuce Greek salad. - Mediterranean Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

Went here with the bf since Groupon decided to give me a $20 code to use. It was Sunday around lunch time, and the place was empty. But as we ordered and waited on our food, lots more people came in. The gal taking our order was informative and nice. We were trying to meet a minimum order, and she suggested we do some subbing of what we wanted instead of paying more out of pocket. :) The food was delish and nothing out of the ordinary. The spanakopita was pretty good. It sounds strange, but the ricotta and feta cheeses blended the spinach well. The kufta kabob sandwich and shish kabob sandwiches were delish! I usually go for the gyro since it's the safest, but the pre-marinated beef in the shish was flavorful and tender. The Greek fries were crispy and hot too when it came out. Parking was plentiful since the complex was fairly large. read more

No knives, no salt n pepper. Terrible sweet tea. Food kinda dull and lacking. Second time here found a bug in my food. I shall not be back.

I order through Uber eats and was not impressed by any means which sucks because there seem to be a lot of positive reviews. First off my order for just the food not including delivery, fees etc. was $33. The quality didn't match the price, I've had better food from athen gyro/places like that and they are the most unauthentic you can get. My gyro was extremely small and I don't know what was done done to the meat but it was bland and just fell apart in my mouth super unpleasant. I can here for the gyro and I will continue to go to my regular place or when they aren't open like to today to pick something else. Lastly the somewhat saving grace was the tzatziki its taste homemade and was delicious, i also go the chicken platter and the it was beyond dry. For $22 dollars I would expect a bit more than a quarter cup or rice, and a few pieces of lettuce. The flavor was okay but the food experience was extremely disappointing. read more

I don't know why I never reviewed this place before! It's so close to home, literally takes 10 minutes if you are in the old Suwanee area. Had some great halal food here! The wait time varies with how busy it is. Despite one or two people cooking, we only waited 15 minutes. There were loads of pick up orders (so many people came in and out) but cooking/serving time is surprisingly well managed. We were very happy about that! You might view the mixed platter as a "meh, so typical" type of thing, but NOPE. It's so simple, yet the meat was exceptionally juicy & flavorful! The rice was very well seasoned too. My husband got the beef kofta sandwich with Greek potatoes, and he absolutely loved it. The beef is chargrilled, so it added that much more of a punch. Both of our orders came with tzaziki sauce. We asked for some hot sauce, and it was a game changer Real Olive is definitely gonna be our #1 spot when we crave some good Mediterranean food! read more

Our office orders every 2-3 weeks from Real Olive. Everyone loves their food; it's fresh and tasty and plentiful. Their tabbouleh (salad) is amazing, as are their sandwiches. The lunch combo is a great deal--rice, salad and pieces of different kinds of beef. read more

This place has really good hummus and their portions are plenty too. I ordered delivery for the first time from here and I just enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend the Hummus and Pita bread. I'd put this place up towards the top in regards to Mediterranean places in Gwinnett county. The food is great, very flavorful and very well prepared. Additionally, the tea tastes very authentic. A couple of things to be cognizant of though: * It sits next to a nail salon so up near the counter it smells like nail polish remover. If you are eating there, grab a table back by the wall and you won't be bothered by the scent. * When we went on a Friday night it looked very dark and empty when we first walked in. It gave off the impression that no one went there. That was very misleading as there was constantly pickup traffic the entire time we were there. read more

I love this place. The food is worth the price and the menu has a variety of options,. If you order to go, they're pretty fast & don't mess up your orders. Service is great. I'm not too sure how authentic the food is but it's definitely worth a try! read more

Saddest Greek salad ever! The tomatoes were soft, the pepperoncini's was brown and the dressing was just vinegar! TRASH! Never again!

Ordered a grilled chicken platter and the food did not disappoint! They also make fresh iced tea that's delicious. Authentic food.
