This little gem was great for a girls night out! They put us in the back which was semi- quiet and the service was very kind. We stayed a little late and you could tell they wanted us out around closing, but the food was good and the manager and server checked on us a few times. Disappointing entrees, the ahi tuna had clearly been prepared far in advance and mandarin slices had clearly gone bad based on taste. Fish taco had way to much if the soggy pickled cabbage. I have let a few good years pass here. But over the last year I, as well as many others, have watched this lovely local spot just deteriorate in vibe and service. There was a time where the bar area was so packed you couldn't walk in and wait times for tables were an hour or more. The place bustled with energy and great people that came and would wait because It was great place with great people, food, service and vibe. But over the last several months, literally every single bartender and server that had been here for years and were just a great part of what made Local Station great, have just left. Its changed almost overnight like some negative vibe killer just came and sucked the fun out and ran them all off. It is weird and even though there are a couple of people left that we love, I don't expect them to stay much longer. Of course all of the regulars left as well and now it just kind of really sucks. I don't expect to come back here anytime soon and it isn't a place I would recommend like I used to. Just sayin. read more

It's food and drink. Not bad but not good either. We came around 5:30 and the place was very loud but not that busy. Our server was not the most attentive. We noticed throughout our meal that the servers hung out in the hall very loudly gossiping and cracking jokes, which might explain some of the lack of attentiveness. I imagine the gossip was very riveting to keep them as it did. Furthermore there were three flies buzzing around the whole time. The place wasn't very well kept. They also had two cheesecake items listed on their menu but our server then told us they wee "out of season" so they can definitely try harder to keep their menu and staff up to date. read more

This is our go-to restaurant! From birthdays to celebrations, to just a Sunday girls night out (I've even gone a couple of times by myself for a drink and an appetizer); it's our favorite place to get together. And the food! I've tried several different things on the menu (though I'm a pescatarian) and it's always amazing. My friend gets the stuffed pork chop EVERY time we go; she takes a picture, then devours it what seems like instantly. The baked Brie is glorious. The pimento cheese dip is perfection. They switch up drink specials, create new and interesting ones that we all like to try out. Whenever someone asks my favorite restaurant, it's Local Station, without a doubt! read more

Great experience! We were driving north from Atlanta for the holiday weekend. Thought we were a bit gnoshy, as we had skipped lunch. Thought because it was 3pm, an odd time, this place might not be busy. Wrong. They were almost at capacity. Walked in, seated immediately at the bar. Our bartender, Riley, was awesome. Drinks within minutes, and food order sent. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer with wasabi guacamole, and we ordered the black jack chips with smoked bleu cheese sauce, bacon and scallions. I've had several meals here and to be honest was that excited about the place. Very mediocre but this last time I went it was very good. Had the artichoke chicken with quinoa. The chicken was tender and flavorful. We also had several glasses of wine. But after dinner had a fried cheesecake. The husband and I decided to have a quick celebratory dinner after crushing one of our goals. We always drive by this place and say we're gonna try it but never do. So it was the day! The ambiance is cute and relaxing. It makes me want to have a sweet fruit sangria and sit back and people/car watch. It is dog friendly so I was able to bring my pup which is a huge plus. The service was great! Nothing that stood out but our waitress did a good job. The food is wonderful. The Cesar salad is filled with dressing, the cold shrimp tacos are more of a ceviche style with sour cream on the side and the seafood dip was the best thing. Creamy, cheesy and so flavorful with crispy cheese crusted pita pieces. Next time we're trying the $45 charcuterie board. The food was mediocre at best (mushroom risotto was just heavily salted rice with brown color, garlic wine sauce was a watery very bland roux, pork chop was thin and overly salted and overcooked, spinach also bland without any special flavor). The sage cocktail that I ordered to compliment the pork chop had a sprig of rosemary - no sage flavor - no explanation given for why there was no sage. Service was basic and good enough, but nothing special. Waitress didn't even know the drink menu or what was on the beer list. The ambiance was also nothing special. White flat walls, very little art. Online reviews talked about a great view, but there is no view. Harsh overhead lighting. Tables cramped together even though there was plenty of space for me to move the table away from the neighboring table myself into a completely unused corner. Very disappointing. I won't be back and won't be recommending. I was embarrassed to have suggested the location to my group. Not remotely close to being worth $50/person. Foodies should avoid. Resy should not be touting this as a great restaurant. read more

I live about 7-8 minutes away from Local Station, so I wanted to love it. I just am not able to. I have tried so many times, but I have given up until something changes-- new kitchen management? new chef? new owner? Pros: -Great cocktails with a seasonal menu and specials! -Daily lunch and dinner specials, which I think is exciting -Waitstaff and bartenders are wonderfully kind -I love the outside seating and it's a very cute venue. Cons: -The food preparation is poor. Even on the specials photos, burnt food and awfully constructed meals are shown off. -So bland. Like, so so freaking bland. -Everything is made to seem as upscale, but it's absolutely not. Why charge premium costs if the food is anything but? -Chacuterie is not great. Most of it is the Chefs own pickling selections he does himself. I love pickled items, but they were bland somehow? -Pasta dishes aren't tossed in sauce-- they have a tiny cookie dough scoop of sauce on top a ginormous bowl of pasta. So even if you mix it, it's mostly just unsauced pasta noodles. Such an easy fix I would suggest to come here for drinks and apps only, but it's hard to do so when just the drinks are worth it. And I am a foodie- I want to nibble with my cocktails and wines! I would not write this review if I was a picky eater or only my sole preference. I eat almost anything from "normal" food to "adventurous, wild" food. Also, the folks we bought our home from warned us that it is "just mediocre on its BEST day". We wanted to try ourselves. I've been with friends, family, and alone several times and so far all are in agreement and every experience is the same. PLEASE-- make some updates so I can come back and support my towns businesses!! I would LOVE to be able to eat my own words and come back with a five star update and make this my spot!!!!! The Cali fish taco was more like a wet burrito, but I liked the pickled salad. It could've been more flavourful- I asked for it blackened as per the server's recommendation but it still came fried. The chips also should've been hit with some sea salt. The tropical drink was way too sweet for my taste. There seemed to be many servers, but it still took about 15 minutes to get even a beer at the table. I want to come back but would try something else. I took my son here for his 16th birthday. I've heard such great things and was very excited. Eh.... Cute spot for sure. (Small so expect no parking). The service was just OK. We waited a SUPER long time for our food and we weren't checked on hardly at all. Didn't get drink refills or the lemons for our drinks. Now, this may sound "Karen ie " of me. Not for the price. It was very expensive for what we got. The food.... The Brie was so amazing! I would go back just for that. The lobster roll was tiny!! And very dry, no flavor. Mostly just so small for the 35$ I got the stuffed pork chop. It tasted amazing but... the bottom half (which was obviously put into on the bottom on purpose) was extremely burnt. I couldn't even cut it sadly. I was just very disappointed in the food for the price that it was. I wouldn't go back unless it becomes cheaper or the quality was better. Again and again the young person at the door has had NO training. They don't mean to be rude there just stupid! or no common sense. It's a patio that's open, seat people that come up don't tell them that it will be 15 minutes to wait half the patio is empty. Seat them and instead of hostess standing there DOING NOTHING , go get them water. But the food is great and several of waitresses are awesome. My first time here. We were seated fairly quickly. When you fist walk in it's a cute bar room. There are two seating areas in the back rooms. We were sat in the middle room with four tables.
