Went to pick up an order for my wife and it was wrong they added cheese to a burger she has a dairy allergy went in spoke to the kitchen manager who showed me he would take care of it for me I went in I had food with my father myself afterwards I was given a cop order cuz they screwed up my original order and lo and behold my comp order has cheese on it how's the kitchen manager not make sure that there's no cheese on that item when I was the original original complaint I don't get it at all highly disappointed hopefully they could do something for me in the future I go there at least once a week it's not like I'm an occasional customer read more

Was here for lunch last week. Not too busy. Lots of TV and open seating. Waitress was super quick to wait on us and grab our order. Started with the egg roll appetizer. Was a little disappointed with the portion size, but the sauce that comes with them is amazing. I'd put that on a flip flop and eat it. For my meal, I had the gyro and tots. Super crispy tots that melted in my moth like little pillows. The gyro was pretty amazing as well. Huge portion that I had to take half of it home. Needed a little more tzatziki sauce on it. Our waitress attended the bar and us, she was alone. It was so dark we didn't know where to go, there was no one to communicate this. Only a bar patron told us we could sit anywhere. Her service was beyond exceptional. Our only complaints are the atmosphere is so dark, no host staff, grease is dirty and makes the food inedible, and the dirty tables. While racing at Road Atlanta, we needed a close restaurant for lunch. Our regular place was closed, so we decided to try Moonshiners. The lunch menu had great options and was very reasonably priced. We had wings, blackened salmon, and their southern burger. Everything was fantastic with very friendly waitstaff. I have been here several times. The beer is cold and food hot. The food here has always been good. As have the cocktails. It is never too crowded. The issue here is the service. It is hit or miss. A 5% venue fee was included which is a new one on me. I generally tip on the plus side of average but will deduct the venue fee in the future. Watch your bill. Got charged for a beer that we didn't get, never received the refund the manager promised. Got charged a 5 percent fee. Got charged extra for some ranch dressing! Roman oven was closed. Came here because we were hungry and one our favorite places was closed. I ordered their "perfect burger". My wife ordered shrimp scampi flatbread. Food was just ok. Stopped for dinner on a Friday night, everything we ordered was delicious but some what greasy. Live band was playing and there was a 10 dollar cover to get in. Over all we love coming here, just wish the service was faster and a bit cleaner. They don't care to social distance and no one wears a mask here so if that's your priority I wouldn't come here lol read more

If you are wanting beer or to play poker this may be for you....but, the food was terrible!!! Well done burgers were raw in the middle and the medium well were basically burned a long with the bacon. Everything was cold .. A waste of money in my opinion. A party of 7 and the waitress did not write down any orders so obviously some of them were not correct. Service was slow and the food was cold we had to go to the bar to ask for drink refills (which we did not get, she said she would tell our waitress). Their food is great and they offer great entertainment... a big screen, many TVs, a pool room, and a stage! My favorite meal is their lemon pepper wings with a side of fries. This spot has been several different bar/restaurants, but it seems that Moonshiner's got one thing right in the "bar" aspect of it - the interior has a variety of seating for TV-watching, eating, drinking, lounging, along with playing darts or pool, or watching live music on the stage. This plus would be the only reason that I'd come back though - just for a beer and the bar scene. Otherwise, the service was lack-luster (watched our server on several occasions more interested in making out with patrons sitting at the bar rather than checking in on us), the bathrooms had no toilet paper, silverware was dirty, no side plates were brought with appetizers, and the quality of the entrees couldn't match the prices. Fun for a bar night out, not so great for a dinner. read more

Was excited to see an established bar take over the old Tapp's location. Was really hoping to find the good beer selection Tapps had, with decent food choices. Unfortunately, we found neither. Pluses: Very nicely done remodel, great pool & darts areas, nice stage, overall a great improvement over the old decor/floor plan. Bartender was pleasant, attentive and informative. Minuses: Poor beer selection. To not even have an Octoberfest on tap in November - much less a stout or porter - was disappointing. Certainly won't be our go-to place for a beer. We did not eat, and looking at the menu, I doubt we ever will. If you like bar food, with everything fried, then you've found nirvana. If you like healthy options, dine elsewhere, as we will. read more

We will never go back. We had plans to go to Local Station but the wait was too long to make our comedy show. We tried Roman Oven, wait was too long, so we compromised our dinner plans for the sake of time and walked down to Moonshiners Bar and Grill. It was 6:30. They charged us $5 each to get in the door just to eat even though the band wasn't starting until 8:30-9. Once we got in, every single table was marked as reserved, so we had to sit at the bar to eat. The menu was only on QCODE; we ordered 2 dinners but they said they couldn't cook what we ordered because their oven was broken. So we paid a cover, couldn't sit at a table and couldn't order the food we wanted. Personnel wasn't impressive either. Poorly run place we will never go back to. read more

Moonshiners is decent. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it was kinda empty (which we preferred with kids). The food was decent. The experience was just... decent. I'm not being rude when I say it was just a mediocre experience. My family and I aren't super picky eaters or diners, and there's nothing inherently wrong with this place. The prices were reasonable and the food was plentiful. The chicken fried steak bites are kind of genius. But the fried mac was slathered in this weird spicy sauce, even on the inside, so it didn't even taste like mac n cheese. The fries were probably the best part of the meal, seasoned really well. I have been visiting this place every time I come to nearby Road Atlanta for car racing fun, and never thought to leave a review, as it has never been very memorable (sorry). But is felt compelled this time because the food was REALLY good this visit, like a huge leap forward. Danged if their "Award winning Chili" was exactly that. I was soooo good, I am writing this. The Bang-bang shrimp ( I know, seen it before) was an original preparation, crisp, fresh, with some twist I can't pinpoint, but was not the usual, it was the best I've had. Not kidding. Then, Courtney and Jennifer, very attentive and helpful servers, suggested the Lemon Cake for desert... mind blowing. Simple, unlike any I've had, and who would think you could get this in a country town bar?!? It was delicious. I only gave the 4 stars because it's a country bar and 5 stars would seem pretentious. Steak bites on apps menu were pretty great and I had the chicken tenders tossed in sweet Thai chili sauce. Fries are good and actual real potatoes. Not a huge fan of the thick ranch dressing, but all in all we had a good experience! We are moving back to the area and will definitely be back for drinks and dinner at some point. read more

I'm thankful I didn't read reviews before we went (we ALWAYS read reviews!) Wife and I went for a rare date night, and we were blown away!! The queso was slightly above average, but that's the only negative thing I have to say. We had several apps and split a burger. Fried mushrooms were the best I've ever had, bang bang shrimp was extremely good and the Dr Pepper Coffee burger was all we hoped for!! Hand cut fries were a plus, wifey is a self professed fry snob. Food was average. Our issue was arriving at 7:30 and being charged a cover charge of $5.00 each because there was a band. We were there just to eat. After we were seated, we were informed that the band didn't start until 9:00. That makes a cover charge starting at 7:30 absolutely absurd. We will never be back!! read more

We thought we would try this place out. It's right by our house and we were excited to see it was bought out. I will say this... don't. Just don't. We are currently eating at Dairy Queen after spending $45 on dinner there. The wait staff was lack luster at best. The girl who waited on us said maybe 5 words. She was dull and seemed like she wasn't happy to be there. She didn't tell us anything about the menu or offer any suggestions on what to get. It's a brand new restaurant! They should be gushing over the food. We got the deep fried pork belly for an appetizer. It was burned on the outside and very tough inside.The roasted red peppers on top were from a jar and were still cold. I ordered the French dip, it was so dry that all I managed to choke down was the bread on one half of the sandwich. The French fires were so dry and old they were like eating dry paper. The meat and the au jus were so flavorless they needed seasonings and salt but sadly we didn't have any on our table. My husband ordered the pimento cheese burger, with bacon jam. The bacon jam was one of the most off putting flavors I have ever had. It tasted like apple butter mixed with vinegar. He also got a side of corn, which came out cold. This meal was inedible. The sweet tea was even bad! I hope this place gets it together. We would love to have a neighborhood bar but man what a disappointment. read more

This location has been many things. The bar still looks very similar but the dining space is way more open and has a stage with custom artwork. The space is dark with wood on wood, and there are a few TVs playing sports channels. We were the only people dining at 4:45 on a Wednesday evening and there were only about half a dozen patrons in the bar area. Service was good, and the food didn't take too long. I had the smoked pork chop with mashed potatoes and macaroni(suggested by our server), and husband had the buffalo tacos with fries. There were 2 tacos with his order(normally 3 most everywhere else), and the chicken tenders were rolled in sauce and plopped on a tortilla with lettuce since he asked to leave the tomatoes off. The fries were not seasoned well if at all but reminded me a little of the varsity style fries. My smoked pork chop reminded me of a pulled pork sandwich and had an odd texture. The mashed potatoes were good, but I didn't care for the grainy cheese in the mac. Beer was nice and affordable, so hubster liked that. read more
