Unfortunately did not have a great experience dining here. The location is cute, and the restaurant is cute. Some of the glassware smelled like old dishrag. We got the charcuterie board, listed at market price but were shocked to see it cost $50 when we got the bill. I ordered the caprese salad; hoping for tomato and mozzarella slices, but was given grape tomatoes and mozzarella pearls. For the price I would've liked a little bit more to eat. The lobster in the lobster roll smelled and tasted awful, we had to send it back. I felt bad that we had a lot of complaints for our server but she was nice. read more

Stopped by here for food during my stay at Chateau Elan. We got their shrimp, lobster, crab dip with in-house pita chips, blackened fish tacos, and shrimp and grits. The shrimp, lobster, crab dip was so creamy and tasted so good. The pita chips were slightly greasy but they were crispy on the outside and just slightly chewy on the inside. They were also seasoned so well. The blackened fish tacos were also so good and it came with in-house chips on the side with the same seasoning as the pita chips! I really recommend if you like fish tacos. Finally the shrimp and grits was delicious too, but the grits were grainer than I expected for grits. I would give it more stars because the foods pretty good, but their reservation system here is crazy. You can't do reservations on the same day. You can't do reservations for the weekend.I understand maybe not taking them on the weekend but not taking reservations on the same day is nuts. This place is usually pretty busy so it's a hit or miss that you can you can even get in . I would come more if they had a better reservation system. It's just too disappointing to drive all the way over only to find out the wait is an over an hour. read more

We needed to eat on our drive from GA to SC. We didn't want junk food, and this place looked good! Their menu had many things that sounded delicious. The building and outdoor patio were cute. Very relaxing feel, yet semi upscale. I wanted to eat outside but the fam wanted inside lol. They have bar seating w open air that looks out to the patio and little downtown Main Street. We sat in the little back room which was fine. We ordered a burger, which came w their homemade chips. The burger was good. Nothing spectacular, but hit the spot and was tasty. Good price. We also got a salad. Forget the name but it had green apples, nuts, bleu cheese. It was okay. It was fresh and nothing bad, it just needed a little more zing- something more added for flavor. Maybe different dressing? They didn't have a kids menu, so my picky kid got the $13 chicken finger plate lol. OMGOODNESS we did not expect it to be so huge, and sooooo DELICIOUS! Holy moly, that chicken stack is GOOD! It's super light. It doesn't have thick batter and not super deep fried. Light and flakey and crispy. Super moist, flavorful.chicken. Delicious honey mustard type sauce. Portion was huge so we all had some. We loved it so much, that we ordered another batch to take home for dinner lol . And also got their mashed potatoes as a side, which were just okay-- a little dry and smaller portion. We'd definitely come back just for the chicken, and to try other things, while sitting on their Sunny front patio. The cocktails looked good too! Happy to find this spot off the Highway. Great bistro , corner house grill. Quiet tables inside, nice patio with plenty of tables and umbrellas to enjoy the outdoors . Big screen by bar. Full bar so was toasting my father for his bday with a grey goose martini and grabbed some ahi tuna salad to go with it. Very good! Their dinners are fantastic, large quantities, good selections of chicken , pork or beef and fish dishes. Good atmosphere , good food, horrible parking but that happens . Went here on a Saturday night, and it was really busy. Luckily we were able to find a spot at the bar so we didn't have to wait long. I would definitely recommend going on a weeknight or making reservations. The space itself is very small and classy and cute. I love the intimate setting but it was really cold and I was freezing with the window open at the bar. I am an extra wimp though. Hey, servers were exceptionally sweet. They were also incredibly stressed. It seemed as though the two servers were also working as bartenders for the whole restaurant yowza. We had the seafood dip first. I found it to be a little bit to cream cheesy for me. The one pita was nice though. I ordered the local salad, but without any meat because I'm vegetarian. while I found the salad to be absolutely delightful, I feel like I did need more in order to count as an entrée. It had really great flavors- exceptionally buttery lettuce, and the cheese and nuts were a wonderful addition. I would either add more of everything it has or maybe some tofu? Or some bread at least to give it substance. Maybe because the place was so busy and shortstaffed, they really struggled with our simple order. My friend got the bowl and they brought him steak instead of shrimp so it took a while to get that right. Then my other friend got chicken and mashed potatoes but they brought her potato chips . We also kept asking for silverware after they got us the food, but the server kept saying "oh somebody's rolling it, I'll get it in a min". When we looked over, the server who was rolling silverware had already rolled at least 30 and had a huge pile going so we had to go just get our own so we could eat. Such a cute spot in historic downtown braselton! You can choose to eat bar style inside or at a table outside. They do not have high chairs but wasn't an issue since my son likes to stand on chairs anyway. All the servers were really kind & accommodating. They just came out with their spring drinks - OmG they were delicious! I had the Bella Rosa. My husband had their classic- take on an old fashioned. We ordered sweet potato fries (not pictured but insanely good), the lobster/crab/shrimp dip- it was really good. I didn't know they were going to deep fry the pita bread or I would have asked for pita not fried - just a personal preference - I know to ask next time! I also ordered one of their salads & asked to sub the bleu cheese for Parmesan. My husband had the salpicon- a type of Spanish roast, served taco style. Very very good! A BIT of dissatisfaction tonight as the four of us were trying desperately to have a nice relaxing dinner, but unfortunately we couldn't hear each other in the middle room because of the noise of especially one rather loud group. Also, have you ever heard of being charged for the alcohol and mixer separately? Well now you have because that's what it showed on my bill and I asked the server about it and that's the way he explained it to me. The alcohol was nine dollars +2 dollars for the mixer. I dare to imagine as to what these people are going to come up with next just to get extra money. Oh yes and also, you cannot exchange your chips for sweet potato fries without a six dollar charge for the sweet potato fries or any extra side dish that you want. The service was fine and my chicken was good. Just not sure I'll be going back any too soon. read more

Wife's salad was very good, but needed a little more flavor for me. The big issue here is the parking. There's 8, yes 8 parking spots. There's parking two blocks away, but I wasn't a fan. Wife really wanted to eat here, so I waited for a spot to open. Once we were seated, we quickly learned why parking is such a issue. A couple full tables were clearly finished, but appeared to plan on spending the afternoon chit chatting. Our server brought it up from two stars. The service here is outstanding! After we got past the disinterested hostess, the staff was friendly and helpful. We have a family of five with 4 vegetarians one of who is lactose intolerant and another has a nut allergy so we are a waitress' nightmare. That said the menu was explained to us by Marisa (our waitress - 5 s) and adjustments were made. The omnivore in our group loved the stuffed pork chop. The "bowls" did not have much food so that's an area for improvement. There is also a great selection of cocktails and their low sugar (honey instead of simple syrup) spicy margarita was great. We liked the ambiance too. They have a small but nice outdoor area and the bar walls open up to make that area al fresco. This spot was only 5 minutes off of I-85. Highly recommend. read more

Where do I start? Locale Service Food Drinks Hours We were driving from Atlanta back to NC around 11:40am and wanted ANYTHING besides Waffle House or fast food. This little gem showed up on Google just off the highway. We couldn't have asked for a better little bistro. Braselton, GA is obviously putting considerable thought, planning, and investment into their downtown. They have a trendy market, bakery, breweries, and this great restaurant, Local Station. The restaurant has indoor, open bar, and outdoor courtyard (with patio umbrellas and heaters) seating. A great cocktail, beer, and wine menu.....scratch that...ALL the menus from drinks to dessert are fantastic....fresh, seasonal. and interesting. Our server, Maria, was attentive without being overbearing and as a result, we enjoyed a very lovely lunch here. We started with the brisket sliders that come with their fresh cooked potato chips. I am not even a brisket fan, but these little sliders were so succulent I didn't even care I dripped the sauce from my lips, down my face, and onto my dress. We followed with with the Ahi Tuna salad and hand dipped buttermilk tenders. You could actually taste the buttermilk in their batter and it was clear from the taste and texture that this chicken didn't come out of a bag. I hate to admit , the salad was a little bit of a disappointment. It was overdressed and the dressing was too sweet and needed to be balanced out with more salt to enhance the tuna. I wouldn't order it again. but I am confident anything else I order would be exceptional. Overall, this is EXACTLY the kind of place we love to find and we love that we found it outside of a big city. GO TO LOCAL STATION! You will thank me afterwards. read more

The food was excellent - artichoke chicken, fish tacos and smash burgers all exceeded expectations. The artichoke chicken was big enough to share - 2 large chicken breasts. The carrots it came with were hard as a rock. The sauteed spinach on the side was bland - watery tasting with garlic cloves. Service on the otherhand was horrible and there were only 3 other tables outside with patrons and multiple servers. After being asked if we wanted a few minutes to look over the menu that was it. No server returned. After 30 minutes of waiting, we went to look for someone. The response we got, was "oh, am I your server?" The rest of the night was the same. Ask for a drink, get it 30 minutes later. Order food, get it an hour later. All other tables were served and waited on, but for some reason we were constantly forgotten. We were pleasant despite the service, but after a bad experience 2 years ago (shrimp shells and tails left on in a pasta sauce), we will probably wait another 2 years before giving it another try. read more

Lovely location. For us GFers, you can have a bowl with chicken and quinoa, a steak with vegetables, or a salad. The shrimp and grits is not gluten free. The artichoke chicken does not mention on the menu that it is breaded and fried. So many dishes that could easily be made without wheat and still be delicious. Luckily I had a knowledgeable server last night and did not get sick. I just want one place in Jackson County where I can feel safe eating and drink wine. read more

A group of friends gathered here for Sunday lunch recently and the experience was excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive, and it was quiet enough in the room where we were seated that we could carry on a conversation (there were five of us, teaching colleagues who had not gotten together for years). I had the "chicken feathers" which were very tasty (the homemade honey mustard was a lighter version than what you usually encounter), and the serving size was copious. The waitress we got was awful, I asked for drinks multiple times and never got them. Our food was cold when it came out. The food was ok, not good enough to overlook the poor service. So to start off with the obvious which is that there is limited parking space that almost deterred us from going in but I'm glad it didn't. Local Station is tucked in and off the corner which makes it easier for folks to kinda just amble up to the restaurant and take a perch outside on the patio or at the inside bar which has an open concept where you can still feel as it you are apart of the outside patio scene but with A/C. We went as first timers for a late lunch/early dinner and left full as a tick. Local has a nice laid back unpretentious atmosphere with great customer service to go alongside it. The entrées were adequately portioned and allowed to speak for themselves. Our food was prepared in a way where you could actually taste what you ordered and not covered up or masked in heavily drenched spices, garnishments and sauce like some restaurants have a tendency to do. I would have to say we really were not prepared to like this place so much but we did. I would easily consider this place an option for lunch, dinner or a meetup for cocktails which in my opinion were top tier. read more
