we, meaning my breakfast crew, eat there every weekday morning. i am 80 years old, i have eaten at restaurants around the world. the hoschton cafe was fantastic, when i order my eggs over medium but not burnt, they come out perfect and fast! ihop they are burnt on the outside and raw on the inside at twice the price. by our 3rd visit our orders were remembered and the cook was amazing. huge mistake if they reopen under new management without the two most important ladies running the show. i have seen hundreds of restaurants change, remodel, increase in size and they are out of business very soon. never fix something that wasn't broken, huge mistake. i will try it once, if it is not the same, probably won't be back. read more

The food was great a few years ago. It has been in the decline over the last few years. They are now closed.

My husband and I went for breakfast one morning not realizing this was a "cash only" place. We had placed our order, noticed the sign for "cash only", then immediately told the lady we didn't have cash so we needed to cancel our order and that we were so sorry. The sweet lady said "don't worry! Enjoy and then bring back cash today at some point before closing." The amount of trust that was shown, the kindness that was shown, overwhelmed us with joy. Quaint little spot with decent food, solid service and very affordable breakfast with character. After tiring of high priced, awkward service and mediocre food at the two breakfast spots at Chateau Elan, we ventured to town on check out day. I came across Hoschton Cafe on Yelp and loved it was a small business where the locals frequent. The service was prompt and friendly. You can tell these are hardworking people, always on the go and checking on customers, cleaning, inventory, etc. The food is typical diner fare but it was all done very well. Restaurant is about 100 years old. Has never been renovated. The staff were nice but hostess had a bad disposition. Pricing was very good. It is exactly what you would expect in a sleepy town in northern Georgia. Food was ok, not much to get wrong for breakfast although asked for crispy hash browns but didn't get. No matter how busy they are at breakfast or lunch - and they are always very business at both - the service is excellent. It is matched by the food, which is simple, well-cooked, delicious and with a wide variety of menu options. It is very much a locals' place, and I suspect a lot more city/county business gets done here than at the various county and municipal buildings nearby. It's not at all unusual to see a school superintendent breakfasting with a mayor and a county manager, etc. The location is old, rather like a rabbit warren with its nooks and crannies, but there's almost always room for everyone in it's very friendly and welcome interior. read more

A great local spot for quick breakfast. I had the ham and cheese omelet, added jalapeños. The jalapeños were fresh and seriously hot, very good! The only negative was the ham type, it is like deli meat ham cut up. I would prefer some fresh ham, diced. My spouse had the two egg plate, with sausage and grits. Definitely a hole in the wall down home country cafe but there's not many left of those. The staff but their blood, sweat and tears into this place everyday except Sunday. All women killing it to make it work If you like great breakfast come here everyday but Sunday and if you like a good meat and 2 type place come here M-F but also they have the grill open for lunch as well. Awesome place to eat healthy wholesome southern food. The food is delicious and incredibly seasoned and not salty. Wonderful lunch menus everyday. Breakfast is such a treat. They have the best biscuits ever and they are large too. Pancakes are fresh and so fluffy. Everything is so...scrumptious. Large servings are served too. Besides the food being wonderful, the staff is very friendly and excellent service is always given. The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and, you feel like you are back in time by it's location on the square of Hoschton. The only negative that I could think of is that the restaurant closes at 2pm. Highly recommend this establishment!!!! You will definitely be WOWED!!!! read more

We stopped and get coffee here when we were visiting our home that was being built. I was so excited to see local coffee shop. I ordered mocha Frappuccino and it takes so good. The coffee is strong but very smooth. I tried the Macha Frappuccino the 2nd time and I was not too impress about it. I love that they have parking space for veterans. Will definitely going back here especially we are now a Hoschton resident. read more
