Came here for a last minute Birthday/Christmas tea for my daughter! I was so glad to find this gem in Hoschton! This tea room has a nice vintage feel, but also like you're at your girlfriend's house just chatting and having tea. The smal interior makes it really feel intimate. The teas were hot and delicious. My daughter especially loved the Ginger Peach. The highlight for us was the Chicken and wild rice soup! Absolutely delicious! We took a bowl home! The mixture and quality of sandwiches and sweets was really good, and everything we ate was delicious! No leftovers! The young lady that attended our table was super friendly and very kind to my daughter. I loved that both she, and the owner, acknowledged her and brought us over extra strawberries and chocolate! This was such a great experience, and we'll be back at this one for sure! Close to our house, prices were more than reasonable, and the quality was 10/10. read more

It so fun coming here. One or two staffed for the day so waiting it the name of the game. I recommend the high tea service for 2. Unlimited tea, mini sandwiches, and sweet desserts. I enjoy their hot teas and the full tier of finger foods. They are very small and reservations are ideal!they can hold parties of 2-8. Shabby chic is the vibe here. Dress up a little, Sunday best and they even have hats to borrow. read more

Fergussons On The Square - Tea Rooms Near Me - Hoschton, Georgia

This little tea house is probably one of my favorite places I have ever stepped into, especially in Georgia. Everything about it was just so cute; from the decor to the plates/cups and even to the foods served. I would 100% go back, it was simply one of the sweetest times. Not to mention, the workers are very nice so that just makes it even better! read more

Quaint establishment with great choices of teas, scones, sandwiches, soups and salads. We ate on antique china. Such a fun atmosphere.

Fergusson's on the Square is an adorable spot for afternoon tea! The setting is super cute and quaint, making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed afternoon with friends or family. Food While the tea service was delightful overall, it didn't feel completely authentic due to the absence of clotted cream (a staple for traditional scones). That said, the offerings were tasty and more than satisfying for the reasonable price point. It's clear that care and attention go into curating the tea and treats. Ambiance The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with a vibe that feels both welcoming and special. It's an ideal setting to escape the everyday and indulge in a little treat-yourself moment. Overall Even without clotted cream, I absolutely loved the experience and think it's fantastic for the price. I'll definitely return for another afternoon tea--it's such a lovely little gem in Braselton. read more

Once we got the reservation- everything was easy and wonderful. They are a small restaurant so getting them to respond is a little frustrating. However everything worked out and the service and food was amazing. read more

I had no idea what to expect when I walked in for lunch today, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The waitress was super polite, friendly, very attentive, and professional. The decor took me back to a slower, gentler time, where things were not quite so rushed. The food was phenomenal. The raspberry rose tea was very well balanced - flavorful without being too bitter or fruity. The items in the High Tea meal were all fresh, with well-thought-out flavor combinations and diverse textures. This was hands-down my best dining experience in a long time. I will be back! read more

We came to celebrate my daughters birthday and we were so excited to find a place that was near to us to start being able to enjoy. However, that was sadly not the case. Our waitress rudely asked us to pay while we were still eating and then told us she had a reservation coming at 2:00-it was 12:20 and they close at 2:00, so I am also confused about that. Honestly have experienced high tea other places that were much nicer. Never had such poor service and will be looking elsewhere for places to hold special occasions. read more

My husband and I had a great time ! We did not have to make a reservation. The potato soup and chicken wild rice soup were delicious! My husband also loved the egg salad sandwich. We enjoyed everything that was served ! We will definitely be back! read more

We stopped to have lunch during the festival. Such a cute place! The lovely girl that took care of us was very enthusiastic about her job, the food, there, and everything in a little place. We had soup, salad, and sandwiches, all were excellent. Great amount of food for the price, atmosphere is wonderful. It's quaint, the dishes and tea cups are adorable, and I recommend just going to see the place. read more

I cannot say enough about this little small town gem! I found it on TikTok. I was planning a trip to Hoschton's to visit my family and I wanted to do something nice for my niece. They were super polite. They understood that I was traveling from California and even though they don't take reservations they made sure that there was a spot for us at the time that we had agreed upon coming in. The ambience, the food, the staff everybody went above and beyond and made three little girls, tea party and two adult women's tea party a core memory. read more

Went to this little establishment today to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday, her mom and aunt attended to. I thought things were going well except for the bug in my granddaughter's drinking water until our main tier came out. We had been eating 5-10 minutes when waitress brought our checks. She proceeded to to take payment and then immediately afterwards said we are going to need this table as we have a reservation at 2:00, I looked at my watch and said it's 12:20 you have way over an hour plus there was only one other group in there and plenty of free tables. We had been enjoying ourselves talking and opening gifts. In no way loud or causing any type of problem where I would think they would want us to leave. Then she came back with to go boxes so we could pack up anything we had not had time to eat. Have visited other local Tea Rooms and for the price this High Tea didn't compare favorably food wise anyway. we will not be back and will be sure to pass on our experience to anyone mentioning going there. read more

I really wanted to like it. The place is really cute. But smells a bit musty. The tea was good. Scones were ok. Sandwiches were just ok as well and desserts also just ok as well. I would not go out of my way to come back. Cute concept. Great potential. read more

Good: This is a cute and quaint spot! It's perfect for a girls day out or a small celebration. The service is friendly and efficient and the prices are stellar. If this is your *first time* trying out high tea, I highly recommend. Why I rated 3 stars: I wasn't a huge fan of the actual "high tea" presentation and if you're used to upscale tea parlors, you may be disappointed. I loved the tea selections but the tea pots were served without anything to keep them hot, and they lost their heat pretty quickly. The food was plated beautifully but was missing the mark with quality in my opinion. the cucumber sandwiches were great but I wished it was made with fresh dill... the egg sandwich lacked a bit in flavor as did the roast beef sandwich. Surprisingly, the pimento cheese sandwich was my favorite!! (Which I usually am not a fan of). Overall this is a lovely place to visit and I will be probably be back when I want a cheap quick frills free afternoon tea. read more

Fergussons On The Square - High Tea Platter - Tea Rooms Near Me - Hoschton, Georgia

This is an adorable tea room in Hoschton that I've been wanting to try out for awhile now. My mom and I came here for their "high tea" and had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying our generous tea service! I love the decor- it's eclectic antique with mix 'n match chairs and tea sets, they even have dozens of fun dress up hats you can borrow. I'm obsessed with the lamp on our table- it was so whimsical and reminded me of Alice in Wonderland! Both me and my mother opted for their "high tea"- which comes with: - a pot of tea (I had a delicious English breakfast and she had lady grey, then we shared a pot of raspberry rose. Lovely!!) - a salad or soup (we got their strawberry feta salad which was fresh and yummy) - scones (which are not your typical savory English scone served with clotted cream and jam but more of a cinnamon cake with powdered sugar- super tasty but just so you have the appropriate expectations) - a generous tiered arrangement of sandwiches and desserts It's a really good deal at $15.95 a person! Speaking to that- the sandwiches were fantastic! I will absolutely come back here just for their Gouda pimento cheese and their egg salad! I'm still thinking about those. They also had a roast beef and a chicken salad- I'm vegetarian so I didn't try those but my mom said they were really good. The cucumber/cream cheese was also not a "classic tea sandwich" with the paper thin cucumber slices but an open face with thicker slices on rye. Desserts were a German chocolate cake, macarons, some sort of cookie and an amazing apple bread cake thing. Not a traditional set of tea sweets but very tasty. My two cents- I think they probably should change the name from "high tea" to "afternoon tea" since I feel high tea connotes a British style tea service which this isn't really. Also warming the cream when serving it with black tea would be a nice elevated touch! Overall we had a lovely time though- will absolutely be back. read more

The ambiance was very charming. We had a very large party so service was a little slow however well worth the wait!

Great food, atmosphere and servers. I highly recommend. Please check this place out if you are ever in the area, you won't be disappointed.

My teenage daughter & I wanted to visit a local tea house. I searched high and low for one and came upon Fergusson's. I'm not on Facebook (you can make reservations which are highly recommended as the space is cozy & perfect for catching up with a friend) so I emailed them (it's an alternative). They respond promptly! When you first walk in it's a quiet welcoming cheerful respite. The fine china and the pleasant soothing ambience. A few tables for two, four or a party of 8 (I think... maybe 10). Perfect for a bridal lunch or sophisticated bachelorette tea party. I'm not sure if they do a childrens tea party). My daughter and I ultimately chose the high tea option for us which includes tea of course, either soup or salad an assortment of finger sandwiches. Two small finger sandwiches of each choice which was perfect (chicken salad on croissant, gouda pimento cheese, fresh tarragon & chive egg salad, cucumber and dill- my daughters favorite). I enjoyed all of them. They bring out scones to start. On the Saturday we went they were serving a cranberry white chocolate scone. I'm not a white chocolate fan but love cranberries so I tried. They were freshly baked and very delicious. The soup and salad were delightful! I had the tomato bisque and she had the salad which was so good with a homemade ranch dressing. The sampling of desserts are made in house. Served upon the top tier were mini lemon poppyseed muffins, assorted brownies and a German chocolate cake. My favorite was the lemon poppyseed muffin. The numerous offerings of teas were lovely. The gracious hostess gives excellent recommendations based upon your tea preferences. My daughter had a raspberry rose tea she liked so much she asked for me to get for her. Unfortunately, that one isn't sold there at this time however they do have a small selection for purchase. I chose two different teas. A cranberry orange and a different black tea. Both were wonderful. Perfect temperature. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

Great soups, salads, and sandwiches! Make reservation through fb messenger. Great value! Very charming ambiance

We enjoyed a "High Tea" lunch at Fergussons December 12, 2020. What a delightful experience! There were 4 in our party, and it was our first time dining with them. Our Server Kaylin did a fantastic job explaining the menu and teas that were featured. She gave us just the right amount of attention while still distancing herself for Covid regulations. The quaint little restaurant was decorated beautifully, with comfortable dining chairs, chandeliers, and beautiful china. Of course it was extra special because of Christmas too! We almost felt like we were pre pandemic sitting at our table! So soothing and comforting, just like a cup of good tea! We ordered their High Tea so that we could experience a variety of their choices at once. We sampled the Paris tea, Ginger Peach and finished with the Cinnamon Spice. You must try the Paris tea, but all were enjoyed! The scones were delicious, the strawberry salad with feta was my absolute favorite, along with the pimento cheese toast, and cucumber and cream cheese on rye, but the egg salad sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich were very good also. What a wonderful time. I highly recommend Fergussons. I wouldn't say every single thing that I sampled was five star, but the atmosphere, the presentation, our server, the food and the company, was most definitely a five star combination! It was definitely my cup of tea! read more

This has to be one of the best tea experiences I've had. I decided to give them a try even though I wasn't eating sugar or bread at the time. The owner Michelle was very accommodating of my dietary needs. The pimento cheese and egg salad were amazing. I also absolutely loved the mango white tea. It was perfect. This place is amazing. You won't leave hungry. We all ordered the high tea and were not disappointed. Our waitress was very informative and helpful. This is one of those great places you just stumble upon when you are out for a ride. I didn't realize I was a tea lover and I'm certainly not their target demographic but it was great. The service was fantastic. The patio setting was perfect and the food was excellent and plentiful. Its just so great to find a place like this in suburbia/exurbia where it seems like most places to eat are cookie-cutter chain locations. We will be back for sure. read more

Called first to make sure I did not need a reservation, there is only a pre recorded message stating hours and need for reservations on Saturday and Sunday's or large parties. It was Wednesday at 11, so we decided to go. When we arrived there were plenty of tables open, however the server stated they had to many reservations to seat us. She stated they could seat us in an hour and took my number to call me when the table was ready. Fast forward a hour and half...no call and they close in less than an hour. We decided to go back and see what was going on... walked in and talked with the same server who said she was just about to call me...yeah right! She also had a bit of an attitude as if she was annoyed we came back. Anyway we stayed and had high tea. The tea was good...but no cream on the table and the tea got cold fast. The scones and salad they served where excellent, however the actual tiered sandwich and sweet tray was just okay. The owner should really invest some time into better sandwich recipes. The ambiance is good with china and decor. I would go back for the experience of high tea with friends but not the food, and certainly make a reservation. read more

Ferguson's on the Square is a fabulous vintage style tea room where you can plan a special get away with family and friends. I've enjoyed several lunches/teas here and LOVE their soups, desserts, and especially their assortment of teas. Their servers are kind and considerate and work to make sure you are well taken care of. I love supporting local small family businesses. This is one of my favorite restaurants to support in the City Square area of Downtown Hoschton, GA. I have been blessed to take two of my granddaughters here and many friends and I have had lunch together here. My girlfriend in PA even called ahead to Ferguson's and bought me a lovely virtual gift certificate so I could take a local friend with me to enjoy a great birthday lunch together since she couldn't go with me. That's been one of my favorite gift certificates to ca$h in. :) Please call ahead for reservations. I always do! Catherine Cosenza Hoschton, GA read more

Stop here yesterday with the daughter. I wasn't aware it was a full service restaurant. I thought we were going to a tea shop which sold baked goods. I'm so glad I went! It is located in a 106 year old building. Decorated with antique tables, chairs, tea services, linen and lace tablecloths. There are two menus. One for tea and one for the food choices. They provide a proper English high tea. They also have 3 salad choices, 4 sandwiches with sides. Strawberry feta salad is what we both ordered with a strawberry vinaigrette. Fresh greens and spinach with red onion, strawberries, walnuts was excellent. I had a club sandwich. My daughter had chicken salad on croissant. I lived the bread with seeds and nuts. Our meal was preceded with tea biscuits which were moist and flavorful and served with homemade apple butter. We also got a sampling of 3 soups. Chicken and wild rice, Cream of celery and I believe a Tomato basil. Michelle says all her soups are homemade by her. The Cream of celery was Thanksgiving in a bowl! The tomato basil was like the best marinara sauce I've ever eaten. And the chicken with wild rice is one of the best I've had. Accompanied by cheese wafers with cranberries and walnuts that are like a somewhat moist cracker. They are to die for!!!!! My daughter inhaled them! I'm not a tea drinker per se. I ordered a pot of Queen's Jubilee which was very good. Then Michelle came around giving folks a "special" blend. Chocolate, raspberry and almond! Dessert in a cup! There are plenty of sweets offered also but we didn't partake since we were so stuffed. But I'm definitely going back! This place is a treasure! read more
