Busy Sunday after church, all staff were turning and burning! Food was excellent! Precious, our waitree, was a true delight!

This is the worst Cracker Barrel I've been to, and it's unfortunate since it's one of my favorite chain restaurants. The only good part about this location is the store has all the fun goodies to browse and shop in and the decor is still the classic Cracker Barrel theme. The service was fine - got the job done but nothing exceptional. The food portions for the take home meal is sad but I get it if it's just $5. But other restaurants do have decent portions for the price compared to here. My husband and I got take-home meals and when we got home, found out that his burger was missing the vegetables when we didn't ask for it to be removed. My chicken tasted like it was a generic seasoned frozen chicken patty and the meatloaf was pink and raw in the middle. The mashed potatoes tasted like bland water was mixed with dehydrated potato flakes. We had to add butter and salt to doctor it up some lol! It was a disappointment but this location is the only bad one I've been to. I really enjoy all other locations besides this Braselton one and hope food supplies haven't just been cutting corners from the corporate level. There is room to improve here read more

I met a friend for breakfast. As always the food was tasty and the waitress was exceptional. The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. We lingered for quite a while and were encouraged by our waitress to take all the time we wanted. She regularly, and unobtrusively asked us if there was anything we wanted. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I would. Service was so slow. It took over an hour to get our food and then we did everything was dry and bland. I ordered a sirloin steak and asked for it Medium. The first steak I got was WELL done. Like hard as a rock. I couldn't even cut through without shaking the entire table. I decided to send it back and then the second steak I got was cooked for 0.1 seconds and was completely RAW on the inside. Our server even said "omg I'm so sorry, that steak is still mooing" Our server was nice and very apologetic so this review or only based on their food. We always forget about CB until we think, "Hey! Let's go to Cracker Barrel". We came on a mid week during the Christmas holiday and it was busy. They weren't sitting the whole restaurant, so there was a 40 minute wait for a party of four. We took that time to walk the shop part of the restaurant: clothes, home decor and more!!! We took some time to play checkers outside on the porch in their rocking chairs. We were finally called to our table yet service was a little all over the place but once we got our drinks and food order in, we were given a basket of biscuits (no corn bread). Food came out shortly after and it was hot and fresh. Grandpa's Country breakfast $10.50, Mama's pancake plate $8.99 and kids chicken tenders and pancakes. The food was good. It wasn't stellar by any means. They were constantly running out of items on the menu. They kept room in between tables and all the employees wore masks. After we placed our order the server had to come back several times to change the order because they were out of multiple things. They were out of hashbrown casserole, biscuits, soup and a few other staple menu items. They brought buttered thick wheat toast instead of biscuits. The service was average and I didn't have to ask for refills. The reason for the low rating is: 1. They had the food they just didn't want to cook more at the current time. 2. I had to pay by cash as I didn't trust them with my credit card info because last time I used it here I had to report it stolen. I had the card in my possession, but someone was using it to order food from the restaurant and stuff from the internet. ***Please watch your statements if you use any card here!*** The funny thing was that they did it about a week after we were there. I know it was from here because I didn't use my card anywhere else since being there. I rarely use that card for anything. It took forever to get our food. From the looks and sounds of the nearby customers it wasn't just our issue. The food was ok. The service was slow . In their defense it was around 7:30 pm on a Saturday so maybe they were all tired? To be fair most Cracker Barrel restaurants are not that great anymore. read more

I've tried a lot in my time but these are my favorite. Hubby had double meat breakfast and the turkey sausage was delicious. Oh yeah, I always taste some of what he's eating so I can have small portions. You get to a ton of food here. Ambience: Eclectic! Lots of cool signs, decorations and trinkets. I ordered the Old Timers breakfast. when the server brought it out it was missing the hashbrown casserole and the bacon was not cooked. I was also missing the gravy. I asked for the missing items and asked if the bacon could be cooked more. The bacon never arrived and had to ask again. We finally decided to leave and I looked in the kitchen to try and find the waitress. My wife said it best during our meal: "The best part of Cracker Barrel is the store at the front of the restaurant." We haven't eaten at Cracker Barrel more than a handful of times in the past 23 years and our last visit was so long ago I couldn't possibly tell you the date, but my guess is about 8 years. Over the last 10 years of yelping I've tried hard to avoid writing one, two and three star reviews as much as possible. I like to believe my momma was right when she said "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all." Well, I do have good things to say about Cracker Barrel, but none of it is about the food: ~~~ THE GOOD I can only remember ever visiting four locations, but they all seem to be about the same in terms of design. Each had a charming long front porch leading to a merchant store with exceptionally cute, homey items which then leads to a barn-like dining hall. This particular location had a REDONCULOUSLY LARGE fireplace that kicked out amazing heat, a fantastic feature on this brisk 36 degree afternoon! Service started with the lovely hostess staff that seats you, continues with the polite and super sweet server and ended with a member of the management team making rounds in the dining room to see if everyone has everything they need. ALL restaurants should do this! It makes customers feel incredibly well cared for. The menu is full of delightful country cooking items and BONUS, they serve breakfast all day! I don't know about you, but breakfast is my favorite category of food. I can eat it any time of day. For all the reasons above, Cracker Barrel deserves 5 stars. However, when factoring in the main reason for our visit (the food), they lose a couple of stars. ~~~ THE FOOD As I said, I've only eaten at Cracker Barrel a handful of times. I remember ordering the country fried steak on one occasion, the meatloaf on another, and the Sunrise Sampler on yet another. I won't go into detail since it was so many years ago and none were at this location, but I'll just say I'm never impressed. Today's visit was prompted by a $50 giftcard we received exactly two years ago. My wife ordered her typical veggie plate which included SWEET POTATO, GREEN BEAN and HASHBROWN CASSEROLES + a Mixed Green Side Salad w/thousand island dressing. Nothing was particularly remarkable about any of the items, but the sweet potatoes were the best of the bunch. I ordered the farm-raised catfish fillets with green beans and dumplin's as my side items. Our server mistakenly brought me mashed potatoes w/gravy, so I got to try those as well. Ironically, that was the best thing on my plate! The CATFISH was bland to the point of needing to be doctored with salt, pepper and hot sauce (which I rarely ever use on anything). Still that didn't make the flavor much better and the underside of the catfish for some reason was soggy (1 star). The DUMPLIN'S were just awful and flavorless. I used so much salt trying to improve the flavor of the catfish that I didn't bother doctoring these, I just didn't eat them (0 stars). The GREEN BEANS were average (3 stars) but the MASHED POTATOES were pretty good (4 stars). We also ordered a stack of pancakes that were decent, but weirdly crispy and thin in some areas (2.5 stars). However, I loved the small container of warm syrup and melted butter they came with. ~~~ FINAL THOUGHTS I can see why Cracker Barrel charms so many people through their doors with their All-American appeal, but this is honestly some of the blandest and most flavor-challenged food of any popular restaurant chain I've ever dined at. I'd prefer IHOP or Waffle House to Cracker Barrel any day, which is saying a lot since I don't really dine at those places very often either. While I love the decor, the staff and the merchant store, I just cannot excuse the mediocre flavor of many of the food items I've tried both today and in past visits. This was probably the worst experience my family and I have had at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Two of us ordered meatloaf and it was cold. It wasn't lukewarm warm like it had been sitting around too long it was actually cold. I hate sending food back but what do you do as a consumer? They bring both of the meatloaf orders out again and this time it's so hot and it's almost burned on top. Almost like they were mad at us for not wanting to eat their mistake. Three of us ordered the turnip greens and we couldn't eat them. 5 of the 6 people in our party tasted the greens and not one person would eat them. The greens literally tasted like they had been sitting around simmering in the same pot for days. Our server was good, no complaints on the service at all and the place was just as clean and organized as any other restaurant but the food was terrible. I spent well over $100 for food that was definitely not worth it. Then, when I did see the reviews it all made sense. Congrats Cracker Barrel, you made a $10 meal cost $100 so you got me but it will be for the very last time. If you value your money you don't want to eat here. Even more funny is all the terrible reviews and each one on here asks to email customer service. Why is the food still bad? Don't you have enough evidence to force some change? We were very much looking forward to sitting down to dinner and excited for something that wasn't traditionally "fast food". I didn't want a hamburger or chicken nuggets, I wanted some greens, beans, and okra and your people ruined it and I STILL PAID! Never again CB, never again. read more

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Between the warm orange juice and the hair in my chicken I would recommend for you to stay far away. On top of the poor food, we waited around 30 minutes to even get waited on, then 15 to finally get our drinks. We got so bored that we went shopping in the store for 45 whole minutes. It stinks inside the ladies bathroom really bad. Gunk is around the anchors for the stalls. It smells like old urine. It's not the way restaurants usually are and more like an old gas station bathroom smell where people pee around the toilet. It smells like that inside the dining area as well. Maybe their sewer grates in the bathroom are sitting with old pee in them??? I have mentioned several times to the managers, yet nothing is done. Bathroom needs to be THOROUGHLY cleaned removing all the stinky gunk around the bathroom stall anchors. Disgusting. Blueberries they gave to me to pour over my pancakes tasted like they sat in the fridge next to onions. Three strikes and they are out! Also cost 34.00 little food. We have eaten at Cracker Barrel for years and this one literally since the day it opened. In this last few months service here has gotten worse and worse. Today we waited 20 minutes for a server to even notice us (only after I asked who our waitress was). Then 25 minutes to get our check when we were finished. All total we were there for an hour and 50 minutes to have a kids meal. I'm not sure what the issue is but I won't be back for a while. read more

Hosts are absolutely horrible. This location is having issues with their registers going offline and were cash only. The date on the door said yesterday so I confirmed inside. The hosts turned their noses up at me and said do you need to see a menu to decide what you can "afford"? Keep in mind a lot of people these days don't carry alllll their cash on them- I certainly don't. I prefer a bank or safe personally. If I had known it was cash only I would have grabbed more cash at home before driving the trek out. We left, called another location and were treated SO much better. Seems to me most "chain" restaurants just don't give the quality they once did. Cracker Barrel is no exception. Prices go up and up and size of meals go down and down. $9.29 for a Rueben Sandwich and a small hand full of frozen fries. The sandwich had more sauerkraut and dressing than meat. Wife had the Pecan Catfish that must have been swimming in the goldfish tank. That and 1 small veggie for $8.94 and 2 sweet teas at $ 2.59 each. read more
