Came here for brunch on Father's Day at 1:30. The crowds started to die down. Unfortunately the waiter told us the wait time would be about 30 mins. We got out of there at 3pm. I wish I could say the food made up for the wait but it did not. Ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and waffles. My daughter had the regular chicken and waffles and they both had a weird mixture of Indian spices. Not sure why. Couldn't finish it. Rest of the meal was ok but the service was poor, asked for syrup for the chicken and waffles-was never received and the food mediocre at best. Had a party of 6 and forgot to take more photos. I am a huge fan of the food here. The biscuits are some of the best I have ever eaten. All of the food seems to be well seasoned and flavorful. I really enjoy the Brussels sprouts and the healthy ginger turmeric drink. Yum! I thought the coffee was ok. The potatoes that I got for my side were extra crispy as ordered but were really really salty. My eggs were good! The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. Customer service was a mixed bag. Our server was friendly but a little bit distracted having forgot our biscuits and coffee refills. At the end of the meal he was nowhere to be found and then a new server said he got moved to a new table. Not a deal breaker but a little funky. I would gladly come back. I was so excited to see that Gainesville had a Tupelo Honey as the one in Atlanta had closed, so we made the 1 hour trip to Gainesville, but I was utterly disappointed with the food. We ordered omelets, no meat, but meat ended up in my omelette, so they remade it and the remake was not good, the sauce was mayonnaise base that did not work well with the eggs, undercooked tomatoes and thick airy grits did not make matters any better. I left still hungry. On the brighter side, the service was great, the hostess was absolutely amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. We liked the potatoes, and the turmeric shots were made perfectly and even though the apple butter was amazing, the biscuits were not. Will I take this drive again???? NO -lol read more

How a real nice lunch here as we were in the Gainesville area. We had eaten in their Asheville location before. We were seated right away. Ordered our drinks and the fried okra starter. It came out with a spicy Alabama sauce that was great to dip the okra into. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast platter, my wife the Cobb salad, and my BIL the half chicken salad sandwich with Brussels sprouts as his side. My breakfast was great. Two eggs perfectly cooked, potatoes, and bacon. It came with toast and they brought a wonderful blueberry jam. My wife loved her salad with the fried chicken breast. This was my second time here. Wife & I were really excited about a new place in Gainesville. After seeing the menu and photos of the inside, I really wanted to like this place. During today's visit around 1:20pm there was a 20 minute wait which was fine. We waited the full length of time and got seated. Our server was very nice and took our drink and food orders quickly. After getting our appetizer (2 biscuits) we waited 50 minutes for our entree. Almost to the point where we weren't hungry. I was sorely disappointed when my meal, the chicken tenders, came out. They were wet, rubbery, and the breading wouldn't stay on. I completely lost my appetite and sent it away with the check. Our waiter offered a complementary dessert, but I came there to eat a meal. After waiting so long for a meal I was not going to waste any more of my day. What was most disappointing was that despite sending back nearly the entire dish, the entrée was still on the bill. Keep in mind this is not a cheap restaurant. In my opinion, when a customer returns 90% of a meal due to quality issues, that item should be removed without having to ask. Overall, we really wanted to enjoy this place, but between the long wait and poor food quality, it missed the mark for us. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

On a busy mothers day the restaurant was overwhelmed but succeeded in making it a great family celebration for all eleven of us. Our 1;30 reservation was delayed by a long wait but after a comfortable wait at the bar for the moms we were all seated by 2. Lovely new brunch location with excellent service! The drinks were a little slow coming out but were made perfectly! I wasn't digging any of the drinks on the menu so my server suggested a blueberry lemonade with Tito's which was perfect. My only complaint was that they charged me the same price for the tall one & short one & had I known that I would of just gotten another tall one. Errrthing was soooo good! From the attentive hostesses and servers (Misty was so helpful when I couldn't decide) and atmosphere, to the amazing drinks, entrees and dessert. Anyone here saying the food was bland, idk what they are on. My fiance and I tried a plethora of items. Fried green tomato's, ceased salad, the biscuits, chicken tendys, and the smothered chicken. All of which were delicious. The bartender was very attentive and made incredible drinks. I had 2 expresso martinis my fiance had aperol spritz and both were incredibly flavorful. My first experience here was unacceptable, it was borderline racist. The restaurant was not busy. There were three servers on the floor, yet we sat for roughly 25 minutes without being acknowledged once - other than being sat. During that time, the tables directly in front of us and right next to us were greeted, served, and had their orders taken while we were repeatedly ignored. After enough time passed, I finally asked if there was a reason no one had come to our table. The response? Blank stares, an indifferent "uh," and continued avoidance. The server assigned to our table repeatedly walked past us while refusing to even make eye contact. As the only Hispanic woman in the establishment at the time, and the only table being deliberately overlooked, the optics were not subtle. It was uncomfortable enough that nearby patrons also appeared to notice what was happening. If the issue was staffing, say that - but it is obvious that staff shortage was not the issue. If there was confusion about sections, say that. But openly ignoring customers while serving everyone around them is unacceptable, unprofessional, and speaks for itself. I do not make accusations lightly, but the treatment we received was dismissive, unacceptable, and impossible to ignore. read more

Went for the classic chicken and waffles. That honey-dusted fried chicken is the move. Skin's crackly, meat's juicy, not greasy. The waffles are soft but not soggy, holding up under whipped butter and just enough powdered sugar to balance the salt. Doesn't need syrup. It's already dialed in. Also tried the mac & cheese waffle with hot fried chicken. That one's all chaos. Waffle's thick, dense, almost like cheesy cornbread. Chicken's got real heat, cooled off by ranch and sharp pickles. Messy, ridiculous, somehow works. Cocktails felt playful without going too far. That lemonade thing that changes color--kind of silly but fun. The bourbon sour's got ginger that cuts through all the sweet stuff flying around. Crowded but service moved fast. Food hit the table hot.
