Great food- my favorites were the Brisket and the OMG MacNCheese. My sister got the brisket sandwich with fries, my dad got the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw, and I got the sliced brisket plate with omg Mac n cheese and brisket chili. We all shared a half pound of ribs (7 of them, although the guy at the register said it'd be 6- BONUS RIB ftw!). The ribs were juicy- just enough resistance, but still nearly fall off the bone tender, somewhat a sweeter smokiness to the flavor. The brisket was juicy and super tender- I cut it with a spoon. The flavor was more smoky in the fatty end and the meaty end was more like roast beef. Overall, it didn't have the best smokiness, but it was still very good. The brisket chili was ok. The omg Mac n cheese was reminiscent of Ryan's Mac n cheese- such a nostalgic flavor for me! LOVE IT. Dad said the cole slaw tasted different- not bad, just different. Overall, I was very happy with Socks! Our choices today were between them and City BBQ and City isn't on my list of BBQ places as really good. Socks definitely makes the cut! Stopped by here for some lunch to go after hearing so much about it. My dad kept saying they were the best bbq in the state. While I don't believe that to be true, it was very yummy! A couple of us shared the party pack style option that was supposed to feed 2-3. In reality, it fed all 5 of us-- with some leftovers! When I got back home, I did notice the bread promised on the menu was missing from my bag, but since we had plenty of food, this didn't bother us much. As for the food itself, it was great! The brisket was perfectly seasoned and was lovely on it's own. The pulled pork needed some of the bbq sauce but was great as well. The fire-roasted corn was a bit on the sweet side which threw me off but after adding some salt and pepper, it worked great with the other menu items. The mac and cheese was nothing special in my opinion and I have had better at other bbq locations. Lastly the pickles-- amazing! I wish they had thrown a few more in just to snack on. So yesterday (10/11/2025) was our first time at Socks. We got there somewhere around 5-6pm. Loved the smell and vibe inside and the staff were incredibly kind. Unfortunately the food was not as much. Not sure if it has to do with being later in the day, but the brisket we got was extremely dry. The same was for the OMG Mac & Cheese....as if it was sitting out all day. The wings had amazing flavor, but it was like eating beef jerky. Extremely dry and the flats were the hardest to eat. The pulled pork was by far the best regarding not being dry. Very good tasting homemade BBQ sauce. Expected better food overall for $80. May try it again, but won't order as much just to be safe. read more

Overall, I enjoyed my first visit to Socks Love BBQ, there's one significant downside but overall a great experience. You walk in and notice the place is a complete dive which all good BBQ spots are so love the ambiance. The next thing you'll notice (and continue to notice) is how nice and helpful the staff is here, all of them were pleasant to deal with and all seemed to be having a good time working there which I love to see. I had the sliced brisket with "mac and cheese" and fries as the sides and it was all very tasty. The brisket was excellent, I was a little concerned at first because there wasn't any pink in the middle (so a bit overcooked in my eyes) but it didn't effect the taste, had a Smokey flavor and was still very moist. My only suggestion regarding the brisket is to either cut the slices thinner or change to metal silverware since the plastic knives don't cut it (literally). The sides were also good although I would like to suggest renaming the mac and cheese since it wasn't made with macaroni (I believe the pasta was mezzi rigatoni). There's so much cheese on this yummy side, I think it deserves top billing so maybe go with Cheese & Mezzi. Honestly, this was my favorite part of the meal so who cares what they call it. The one downside to this place was the BBQ sauce was bad, I hate to say it because I like this spot but honestly, it was really, really bad! The sauce had the viscosity of tap water and tasted like pure vinegar oil. After about 3 yrs I finally made the 2 hrs drive. Employees greeted us and were helpful. Even the guy boh welcomed us and was kind. The space is super small and can be tricky to find a seat. Even during "slow" times it's tough to get 4seats in a group. As for the important part, the food, it left alot to be desired. The sausage (garlic pepper) was super dry and leathery. Was absolutely sliced a few hours earlier then put back in the hotbox for holding. Possibly from the day before. The Cole slaw was an absolute miss. No salt, sugar, or acidity. I added salt from the table but it was just too bland. I asked to swap it for corn which they did. Sadly the corn... idk the corn was just off overall and not enjoyable. The beans and mac & cheese were decent. Easily the best thing we had but still not over the top. The brisket was moist but also under seasoned, which seems like a trend here. It also was warm at best, but far from hot. While I like the point (fatty side) I generally like a more well trimmed fat cap. Which it did not seem like they trimmed much if any fat off the top during prep. Solid half inch plus of fat cap still on the slices. With adjusting seasoning and food temps this place has potential. First visit here, and I was looking forward to the food as I love me some good barbecue. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall and is tiny inside with very limited inside dining. I was here for lunch on Saturday. You order at the counter, which has a video screen above the counter with the menu items. I went with a plate even though it is fairly pricey ($20 Inc tax). One of the nice things about the one item plate is you can cut the 1/2 pound weight of the meat in half and get two different meats at a 1/4 pound each. I went with the pulled pork and the brisket with sides of mac & cheese and cowboy beans. The brisket was flavorful albeit a tad fatty, and it had a very smoky flavor. The pulled pork was served in an unappetizing, looking wadded up ball, but overall had good flavor. They have one barbecue sauce, and it was very average tasting. I didn't find the mac & cheese appetizing at all. It was not creamy, but very oily and I only ate a couple bites of it. On the other hand, the cowboy beans were fantastic! The meal also comes with a few homemade pickles and onions, and they are a very nice pairing with the meal. To sum up my experience, I felt it was good, but not great barbecue. Aside from their awesome cowboy beans and homemade pickle garnish, the rest is forgettable. Only offer one sauce and it's very average. This place is legit BBQ. Spent the last three years in BBQ purgatory after moving to Nashville from St Louis. There is no good BBQ in Nashvegas. Recently relocated to the Cummong GA area and was craving some smoked meat. Got the rib plate with mac & cheese and creamed corn and the brisket plate with cowboy beans and coleslaw. The meat was on point though the brisket could have had more bark on it. But the smoke flavor was just right. I judge ribs by whether or not they have flavor without sauce and these did. So their rub is good and liberally applied. As for the sides the beans and corn were good. But I wouldn't call the corn "creamed" corn. More like grilled and in a light sauce of some kind. Mac & cheese was just meh and coleslaw could have been from walmart just in a little individual sized container. Nothing to write home about. But you goon to bbq for the meat and Socks Love gets it right. read more

Had lunch there the other day and it was wonderful. I had the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese as my side. Unique pasta used for the Mac and cheese but it worked very well. Loved the atmosphere in the restaurant they have community seating which enables you to meet your neighbors while you are eating your meal. Had a very wonderful conversation with the couple next to me during my lunch. Stopped by also to set up for the Annual Beaver Toyota and American Legion Post 307 annual Armed Forces BBQ. I have to say I was a bit put off by the price of this place. A pound of brisket is $28, compared to "CUE" down the street which runs you about 22 a pound. But , the Sliced brisket actually rocks. Very tender, not too fatty and has a wonderful smoked taste. I grabbed a half pound, the barbecue chicken as well , again, very tasty and tender. The cowboy beans are great with lots of meat in them as well. The barbecue sauce has a bit of a bite to it and spicy, which is what I like ,more Texas style .overall I would say this place is really great food, but not a cheap date. Inside is not much of a wow, they really need to do a deep clean on the floor and they have a lot of stuff stacked up everywhere. Everything here is delicious. Order up front, service is quick. They have communal seating, with an easy going, laid back vibe. You cannot go wrong! Brisket, ribs, pork, chicken.....it's all phenomenal and they do not phone in the sides like a lot of places might. The beans, Mac n cheese and corn are the standouts for me. Stopped in here on Friday afternoon and got the 2 meat plate with 2 sides so I chose the ribs and brisket with the Mac n cheese and cowboy beans. Let me start by saying the sides were both awesome. Unfortunately people don't go there for the sides. I had 3 of the smallest ribs I've ever seen. They were nowhere near fall off the bone. They were very firm, barely Luke warm, and dry, but did have a decent Smokey flavor. I had to add bbq sauce to be able to eat them. The brisket was also very dry and barely warm. Other than the half inch rim of fat, there was no juice. I needed to use sauce on the brisket as well. Again it did have a good Smokey flavor. Just wish I could have enjoyed the meat without needing the sauce. For the price, I felt like the serving size was quite small with the 3 small ribs and 2 thin slices of brisket. This place definitely doesn't deserve to be called the best bbq in Georgia. Probably not even the best in cumming, but maybe they were just having a bad day. The service crew were very friendly and expressed their concern over dryness of my meal but didn't offer to do anything about it. Maybe next time I will just go order the sides read more

Third trip to this place and i've waited for my review now is it good bbq yes it is , is it veered then sonny's of course is it the best bbq no , is it the best in the area yes it is but most bbq people will drive for really good bbq. i ordered one link of jalopena sausage and a rib plate with two sides corn and fries . Sausage had very strong flavor but not in a good way the link had zero snap in te casing as if it was cooked or held in water maybe or or didn't render properly , all in all just not a good flavor or experience. fries were frozen from a bag and corn was lacking some seasoning but once added a little salt and pepper was fine but also i feel the corn kernels were pre bagged frozen but could be wrong , however maybe some onion and pepper in the corn would elevate it . the ribs had a lite glaze on them and were decent but again just lacking something on the cook slightly tough and not a easy pull . all in all i think when a place gets rave reviews they ride on that for awhile and this place has great reviews but it's just not for me , it maybe for you . all in all 36 dollars and change read more

It's in a shopping strip, so we were a little weary at 1st; however, we enjoyed everything we had. Between my hubby and I , we had brisket, ribs, collards, Mac and cheese, and fried okra. The brisket had a nice bark and was tender. My hubby put it behind his fave place in Atlanta for brisket. The ribs were a bit dry and had a light bark, overall pretty good but not the best I've had from a bbq joint. I liked the bbq sauce and needed to drizzle some over the slightly dry ribs. Best brisket and Mac around! Brisket was fork tender and just melted in your mouth. Bbq sauce was a vinegar base and tasty. Mac was creamy and using big ziti noodles a gooey goodness. Hubby ordered sausage and brisket. They had three different sausages to choose from. He picked the chipotle and havarti cheese blend and it was very good, house-made too. I was surprised they didn't have a plain sausage to offer. Fried roasted corn was good but kinda lacked seasoning. I added some S&P and it was good to go. Baked beans were good but tangy. They were very vinegary and had loads of sugar. The two things together is an overpowering mess. Less sugar is definitely needed here. My hubby loves bbq beans but only ate half because they were that sweet. My #1 thing is to snap pics and I was so hungry, I forgot. We will definitely go back. My husband and I had lunch at Socks' Love BBQ today. As always, he tried the brisket plate with OMG Mac and Cheese and the Grilled Cream corn. He said the brisket was okay not great. He's constantly searching for brisket that lives up to TX Brisket. I had the Pulled Pork Plate with Mac and Cheese and the Grilled Cream Corn. The pork was good- a tiny bit dry and the sides were delicious! Portions were huge and service was quick and friendly.
