I'm very disappointed, I ordered a country fried steak with mash potatoes and Mac..... the steak was tough and extremely greasy and flavorless. They have the BEST buttermilk biscuits around!! True southern biscuits as I call them "Cat Head Biscuits". I had the country ham, the biscuit was full / layered with ham and my daughter had a bacon biscuit and her biscuit was also full and layered too. We also order a side of grits and hashbrowns. The grits were hot and seasoned perfect with no need for extra butter and the hashbrowns were crispy and tasted amazing. There is a good an bad for us at this place, the good its near us and will be our go to for breakfast but the bad will be our waist line :). Should a restaurant that says they close at 2pm serve food until 2pm, or stop serving 15-20 minutes prior? I guess this is all up to ownership and their commitment to customer service. I called to place a pickup order 15 minutes before they closed, and was told they were closed because they already started to "clean up". If I ran a restaurant, and wanted to walk out the door at 2PM, then I'd publish my hours as closing at 1:45pm. Anyhow, other than this, I like their food. read more

Ordered another biscuit double country Ham egg and cheese biscuit, what I got was ham with not even a full order of ham did not cover the biscuit, egg, no cheese. You need to do better. looked for local breakfast spots away from my house for a change, and stumbled across this place. Tucked away near browns bridge rd might be some of the best chicken and biscuits in the South. I paid 5 bucks for a hunk of buttery biscuit the size of my face, with the crispiest but still tender chicken breast inside. The food was so good I forgot to ask the smoking hot server for her number dang it. Only thing is that they should serve some coffee as well. Cozy atmosphere, a bit bare and kind of run-down looking, but that just makes it better in my opinion. I get a strange sense of nostalgia, and I feel like I've seen this place before. The majority of morning customers seem to frequent the quick drive-thru or come in for takeout. I have done the former, and they are very efficient in getting the order to your car. When I'm in the mood for biscuits and gravy, I primarily dine-in, because I like the meal fresh from the kitchen. My favorite is to add scrambled eggs and hash browns (or tater tots) to the meal. Lovely little hole in the wall mom and pop place. As soon as you walk in, you can smell Fabuloso, which they use to clean tables and floors...I love that smell. Pretty busy but there was always a table available and I hung out for a bit after I finished eating. The folks working seemed like locals and were friendly. I ordered a chicken biscuit and cheese grits. My total was about $7.65 after tax. I personally won a biscuit contest and like to try other folks' biscuits when I can. First of all, their biscuits are what you call a cat head biscuit...it's the size of a cat head, it's a southern thang. The texture was on the soft side, which is not a bad thing, I personally like mine a bit crunchy on top and bottom. They taste like they're made with shortening bc they lacked flavor. The same for the chicken. It was cooked perfectly, had a great crunch, a bit on the thin side for such a big biscuit but it also lacked flavor. There was no doubt the cheese grits were cheesy. They were good but needed a lot of salt and some pepper. I can't help but wonder if they don't season a lot due to elderly folks watching their salt intake. Overall everything was good and I loved the ambiance. I still gave them 4 stars because of the ambiance and the food was fresh and good quality. A few other things to note: It took about 5 min to order and get my food. They have a drive-thru. They had plenty of condiments to choose from but not honey, I like honey on my chicken biscuits. About 10 different meats to choose from for your biscuit. read more

Cute place with good food. The girl at the counter was friendly and efficient and very nice. She mentioned the refill yourself coffee which was appreciated . I had a good breakfast burrito and my husband had sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Worth finding this out of the way breakfast place. It was busy but again everyone was efficient and friendly. Ordered the spicy chicken biscuit but the spices weren't in the breading but had Texas Pete sauce on the chicken. Next time I will just order the regular chicken biscuit for that reason. Hash browns had a little oniony taste and texture was soft on the inside and barely crispy on the outside. Cinnamon roll was delicious. We have been to the biscuit place several times for early morning breakfast. We've gone through the drive-through and had a couple of meals inside the restaurant. They served incredible biscuits, and country ham for breakfast. It's a little bit of a dive, but the food is good and the people are very nice. We recommend this place! read more

5/10. Before I start. The price is very reasonable. Nothing out of the ordinary. If you want quick breakfast- and I mean they are very quick. Then this is a great stop. But if you're looking for flavor then you may need to reconsider. The eggs didn't taste like the eggs you crack, rather the eggs from the carton. The biscuit was okay, a fresh bojangles biscuit taste better in my opinion. The cheese grits taste like they just placed processed sliced American cheese and let it melt in the grits, the red hot link sausage taste like the great value brand at Walmart. Very basic generic taste but I wasn't mad because of how reasonable the price is. If you ask me I'd tell you to just go to bojangles. Now I haven't tried their other items- it may be good. I tried this seemingly Popular restaurant about a year ago. I had ordered a chicken biscuit and I bit into a raw piece of chicken. A year later I tried it again, another chicken biscuit. The chicken was fried with a heavy breaded piece of chicken and a half cooked biscuit with raw, uncooked center of gooey dough. I'm done with "That Biscuit Place"! read more
