I stopped in at Roosters Bar & Grill and ordered 25 wings -- half barbecue, half hot -- with blue…read morecheese. The flavor was solid, especially the hot sauce, but the wings themselves were tiny for the price. As someone from Buffalo, NY, (where chicken wings were invented and perfected) who takes wings seriously, I have to admit I was disappointed in the size of the wings. The place itself is your typical dive-style bar with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor spots too. I've been here before and had a much better food experience, the wings were definitely larger, and more plump in years past. That said, the bartender was fantastic -- super friendly and even treated me to a free beer in the holiday spirit, which definitely lifted the experience. (I tipped her very well, was very sweet!) All in all, Roosters has great local charm and solid bar vibes, but if you're a wing purist, you might consider heading over to Good Old Days instead. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars -- maybe 4 if those wings had a bit more meat on them, might be time to move on to a new wing supplier Roosters?

I think they could have been a little better, but everything else was really good. Overall, I had a great experience, and I think this could become one of my favorite wing spots. I would definitely recommend trying it!

I've been coming to this place for a while... But, I'm so fed up with the poor service!!! I was…read morethere last night, and again today... Last night, was actually some of the better service I've had... There is a regular bartender there - who lately - I've been avoiding - because her service is just soooooo bad!!!! She's a really lovely person too - but it's so obvious that this person hates the owners, and DOES NOT want to be there. Her hatred of her job has been negatively impacting her service for a while now.... She has such a bad attitude!! My biggest complaint - is that she just does NOT listen. I was a bartender and a server for many years - so I know they have to deal with BS, and bad tippers, and drunk jerks - so I really want to give her the benefit of the doubt - but today - I had all I could stand... Today's visit started with her giving me grief for tipping her colleague last night - a rather large tip.... What she did not understand, was that I tipped her well because it was such a change of pace to have a bartender who kept my drinks full, and placed my food order when I asked for it.... it was so different than what I was used to - that I left her a very generous tip... But I go back today, wanting to get their very awesome smoked wings - and the first thing she does is bust my b*lls for over tipping another person... Ok, I get it, but whatever... I proceed to try and order food from her - 3 different times in an hour - and each time when I try and order - she's busy with other BS (and the place was not busy at all, there were like 5 people total at this point, seated around the bar).... And... It's not a situation where I never told her - I told her I wanted to order food - and we had multiple conversations about it - but every time I expected her to actually take my order - she was off doing something else or helping someone else.... and I get it, she's got to take care of other people - but how many times do I have to say I want to order food??? Like come the %##* on at some point!!! Finally - and this part wasn't her fault - but after trying to order multiple times I was so p*ssed.... Some old guy fell down and hurt himself in the restaurant... Truly awful - so, she goes to help the guy - completely understandable - but she's gone for 30+ minutes and NO ONE from an employee standpoint, is at the bar at this point .... No one is taking care of the OTHER customers!!! My drink empties, and I try and be patient... But, now I'm hangry because I had tried to order food 3 times at this point and nothing... and time just keeps ticking.... No one helping anyone at the bar, and the one bartender there is - is calling an ambulance for the old guy... Like, where's management? Where's someone to check on the other customers? Where's someone to help?? I'm trying to be patient - but holy hell I was so mad - cause had this bartender actually taken my ^*+^{+]= order when I had asked her to multiple times - at least I might have had my food and not been so hangry... But - no - and no one comes to help her handle the bar - while they deal with the hurt old guy .... Like, I get it - they had to deal with that and the situation sucked - but had she placed my order the 3 times I tried to - at least I would not have been siting there with no drink, no food, nothing for 30 frikin minutes.... And had this been the first time she's done this to me - I would have been fine - but every freaking time it's something else with this girl... Her service is abysmal! I'll never go back. I'm freaking done paying good money to people and just being ignored. I finally got fed up and grab another server to try and settle my tab and leave - but then she couldn't find my tab - and finally I just left.... I feel bad, cause I'm not usually a jerk like this - but holy mother of g*d, people can only take so much.... This place has great food - but the service needs serious attention. Whoever owns this place - Like wake the $%#* up and address the poor service - because this is 100% your fault that y'all are losing good customers like me.
