Extremely friendly staff. We came in on a week night with our two littles. Our 2 year old was pretty hyped up and running around, the owner gave her and her brother chips to distract them as they waited for our food. Even through it takes a little while to the get the food, it was made to order and solid. We had burgers, shakes, chicken tenders and fries. Stopped in for lunch with friends on a weekday around 11:30. Decided on this place based on Yelp reviews. Man behind counter taking orders was not friendly. He never smiled during any transactions while we were there. The woman who brought out our food was friendly enough. She smiled and brought us a requested condiment. The inside is pretty plain decor-wise, but clean. The food was really good. Burger and accompaniments were fresh. The bun was nice and soft. Located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking available. Because of the unfriendly service, most likely won't be back. We decided to try a new burger joint. Looking on Yelp we found this resturant off HWY 400 and 306. It was a longer drive than we would normally take for a burger. When we arrived we were not overly impressed with the little strip front stores and thought about going somewhere else but we decided to go in and check it out. That was a good choice. Ignored by workers! My granddaughter and I went in to get dinner. I thought I will go there, support local and get her a hotdog and tator tots as requested. We went in and washed our hands. When we got back to the counter I noticed both workers were in the dining room chatting away. The one looked at my granddaughter as if we were a bother. She's 3 btw. Mom and Pop got it right, up here in Cumming. Burger and Shake is a tiny little place, family-owned and operated, and it reminds me of one of my favorite burger haunts back in LA. The family and I are here at least once a week. Not a huge menu; sandwiches, burgers, wings, etc. and fries, onion rings and tater tots! Who doesn't love tots??? The shakes are hand-dipped, and made right in front of you. They offer a few blackboard specials, and have their combo specials as well. Prices range from $5-$8 for the specials, depending on your order. Fresh, hot, and they are very accommodating as far as what you can have on your burgers /sandwiches. Love the crinkle fries as well! We love coming here, and we really like the people who run the place. The cashier David, always remembers my son, and his passion for the Falcons, and he always makes conversation with him about sports when we come in to eat! It's clean, well-run, efficient, the food is really really good, and I'm always happy to come here for a taste of my favorite place back home.
