This review once again is LONG OVERDUE!! I apologize to the owner because we had a FABULOUS meal…read moreand experience. We were given a gift certificate by our realtor last year and waited for a special occasion since we were told it is pricey. Valentines seemed like the perfect time and it was! Made reservations several weeks before opting for the 13th of February and at 5 pm in hopes of avoiding the crowd. It worked. We arrived and were seated promptly in what they call the Al Capone booth which was for two and tucked towards the back wall which was cozy and private except much later the table across from us which looks out toward the table we were at, 4 people were seated. It wasn't a big deal as they were busy talking with their group. Our waiter was Jason (I hope I'm remembering his name correctly) and he told us he was fairly new. Great waiter, engaging with us, gave us excellent tips on the food choices, how things were cooked especially the steaks, which cuts would be best for us according to our tastes, very attentive our entire meal, didn't rush us through our meal and told us what to expect with the dishes we chose. Now we share our meals and opted for a 16 oz steak which my husband finished his half and I brought 1/2 of my 1/2 home along with much of our side dishes. I guess that means each side comes with a lot of food. We ordered the sweet potatoes, which was incredibly delicious, nice and soft on the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside. They have a caramel flavor bc of caramelized. Oh sooo scrumptious. The asparagus were nice a large and once again the flavor on them were delish!! Our steak came out on a plate by itself bc Jason said the chef likes to show the beauty of it. I agree, simple, but the steak on its own looked grand. It was cooked to perfection, so juicy and packed with flavor. It melted in our mouth. Worth every cent. The mushrooms along with the sauce flavor we chose were a perfect combo with our steak. The steak on its own was amazing but the mushrooms were delicious with the steak. The incredible rolls they serve are to die for. Light, fluffy and down right a perfect accompaniment to our dinner. My husband enjoyed his wine choice with Jason's recommendation. I had Jason take back my Lemon Drop Martini because it wasn't to my taste, just a bit boozier than I enjoy. The second time was much better. The manager Peril came to our table and introduced himself. Told us about the history of his restaurant and was a kind man. We talked with him about being from CA. Also how his restaurant being located in an area you'd never imagine having such a great restaurant would be was awesome. It's in this small strip mall right off Meadow Drive amongst other small shops. Not very grand looking on the outside but very nice and lovely inside. Very intimate feeling in the booths. I did notice they have a small bar area which was packed as well as small tables in the area. The parking lot is not very large with some handicap parking spots. Quite large inside with outdoor seating within a tent covered area with windows. We definitely will visit again, on another special occasion. Everything and everyone was GREAT and ever so tasty.

She provided great recommendations and honored a request I made. SHE added to a wonderful experience. THANK YOU LAUREN, YOU DID A FABULOUS JOB! Now for the review I HATE giving out 5 stars and was looking for a reason or excuse to knock them down to a a 4.9, but found NONE. The night was perfect. We were there to celebrate a birthday. As I included myself in the "Powers" reservation for four people, I insisted on paying for my own meal. PLUS knowing that my chances of eating there again were slim (visiting from San Diego), I wanted to splurge and indulge. :) I had the 8oz filet (cooked medium) with blue cheese crust, accompanied with 2 pan seared scallops. Oh my God! The steak was cooked perfectly. It had a nice sear while remaining perfectly cooked in the middle. I judge a restaurant/steakhouse by how well it cooks it's scallops. HAVEN eaten many, I know they are easy to mess up. Some places either over-cook them, or don't clean them well. However, these may have been the best I ever had. Cooked perfectly and with full flavor. The group raved about the loaded mashed potatoes and dessert. THE MEAL was awesome. understanding that everyone's experience there will be unique to them, "I" highly recommend you visit this place to have your own experience. I hope in the future I get to eat there again. THIS PLACE IS KEN HARMON APPOVED.

We were skeptical at first because we thought it was not a restaurant from the outside and thought…read morewe may have had the wrong address but it was extremely cool how it was so private feeling once we entered and knew we were at the right place. It wasn't quite a speakeasy kind of feeling but had a secretive selective feeling where the patrons were most likely regulars and an upscale feel but not an overly priced menu. We started with drinks, old fashioned for the husband and I had a glass of wine which is a rare thing but it was a perfect pairing with my Brian's Chicken. It came with a salad or soup and I chose the house salad with a citrus vinaigrette and the wild rice side. My husband chose the Tilapia Piccata which doesn't come with a salad or soup, just a side and he chose the roasted mashed potatoes. We had rolls served and then selected a key lime pie for our dessert. The waitress was older, less friendly but consolidated her trips and was timely so that's a plus. She could stand to smile and seem more thankful for guests or her presence of being there but maybe something was a miss in her world so we just enjoyed the time we had without the interruptions but being in the service industry in the past my self, I know first-hand that smile and friendly face upon greeting a table does have an impact. The noise was about average so some jazz or music in the background would be helpful to allow for less availability to overhear the tables surrounding one another possibly. There was a table of ladies maybe enjoying ladies night and it seemed we could hear them quite frequently but they appeared to be enjoying their night so no bad feelings towards a group enjoying their evening. We will definitely be back.
