Bad experience with online ordering. Using their own mobile application. Had a terrible experience 3 times. Recent was on 31st March. Ordered 20 mins earlier. Waited 1 and half hours. After an early morning errand, my wife and I stopped here for breakfast. She had the MultiGrain pancake with banana & granola and I had the market skillet which is my favorite. We shared a pot of coffee. The meals were delivered quickly and the presentation was perfect. We opted for an outdoor table and the light breeze and fresh air were awesome. All in, $30. Should have waited to pay as the tip would have been reduced. We heard the table next to us checking out and the server asked them if they wanted a coffee to go. When our ticket was presented my wife used her phone to pay online. Our server said she would be back, but never did return. As the table next to us was cleared we asked for coffee to go but they never appeared. My wife then went inside to ask and returned. The pot had very little coffee so we continued to wait. New folks were seated, ordered, and no check in to us. After ten minutes we left. I did take the ToGo back inside and handed back to the server telling her we never got additional coffee and out the door we went Disappointed. When I get that brunch text from friends, I don't even look where we're going because I am automatically in! This was my first time visiting a First Watch, and I left the restaurant so blissfully content that I actually forgot my keys! Don't worry, they kept them safe for me and I got them back next day. Lucky enough, one of their seasonal menu items just so happens to be their Holey Donuts which are little cinnamon sugar dusted cake donut holes with chocolate sauce and a warm mixed berry compote for dipping. Needless to say, I was in donut heaven. For my main dish, I ordered the BLTE which is a classic BLT but with two over-hard eggs, cheese, and mayo on artisan whole grain bread. I LOVED it. It was the perfect amount of saltiness that was needed after those donut holes. Originally, I went in thinking I was going to try one of their fresh juices but I was coerced into getting a brunch cocktail. Honestly, as soon as this drink hit my lips all regret went away - it was the Spiked Lavender Lemonade with New Amsterdam 5X distilled vodka, lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender. The poached eggs were overcooked with no runny yolk, they hardly give you any salmon. But the worst part about it, was the salad. A cute brunch spot to come to with the family. We came around 11:00 am, and the place was busy and there was a bit of a wait before we got seated. Our waitress was very nice and our drinks came out quickly. Food took a while to come out, which was expected since it was a busy time. Overall, the food was good BUT we were disappointed that the "Million Dollar Harvest Hash" looked nothing like the picture that was posted outside of the store. It was an okay dish, not sure if it was supposed to be a hot or a cold dish, but the potatoes came out cold and only the egg was warm. I ate for a quick sit-down breakfast on a drive from north Georgia to Atlanta. It was my first First Watch experience and I'm glad I went there! Service was five stars. Fast and friendly. Coffee was piping hot and tasty. Always love getting my own carafe to refill my cup. The food was alright! I got the salmon frittata. The salmon was essentially one big piece in the egg versus mixed in, which I didn't love. It was flavorful, though. I liked the side of greens and small toast slice. My brother and I (both in our 70's) went to the one in Cumming. The food was good and our waitress was excellent. However we will not return. The young man who worked at the front desk was dismissive, uncaring and rude. At first he tried to seat us at a table closest to the kitchen. We asked to be seated elsewhere and from then on we were not deserving of his attention. We moved ourselves and had a nice breakfast although it was difficult to hear. But when we checked out, this young man was not someone anyone would want in their restaurant. If I owned that place I would have fired him on the spot. Came here on a Tuesday morning, and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were seated quickly, but waiters were extremely slow to serve and food took a long time. I understand if this is because they are understaffed (I am not sure of their situation). Food was incredible with generous portions. Honorable mention for the Beef Harvati - the Parmesan on top of the bread adds a perfect crunch and the meat is juicy. My only complaint is that my potatoes were slightly burnt and quite salty. Parking is limited, but there's overflow parking in the shopping center next to it, which is where we parked. The place was very busy. People waiting inside and outside. We were greeted by the hostess who checked us in and waited 15-20 minutes to be seated. The space is open and bright. Indoor and outside seating available. I wish I remembered our server's name. She was personable and attentive. We ordered the following: Summer Blush $3.99 Morning Meditation $3.99 Cornbread Carnitas Bowl $10.79 Million Dollar Bacon $4.99 BLTE The Summer Blush is a watermelon, pineapple, Fuji apple, lemon, cane sugar and mint juice. It's sweet but not too sweet and plenty refreshing! The Morning Meditation is a classic. It has orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet. It's a great combination of flavors. Sweet, tart, gingery. Both juices were fresh. The carnitas bowl came with savory pork carnitas and grilled cornbread topped with two poached cage-free eggs, black beans, pico de gallo, Cotija cheese, fresh avocado, lime crema and fresh cilantro. The Million Dollar Bacon is named that for a reason. It's four slices of signature hardwood smoked bacon baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and maple syrup drizzle. Holy moly! I don't usually like maple bacon, but damn, this is is freaking amazing! The BLTE is a classic BLT with an over-hard cage free egg, Monterey Jack cheese and mayo on artisan whole grain bread. This restaurant is located right across the street from the Collection off exit 13. First Watch takes pride in putting their customers first from the moment they walk in all the way until the moment they leave. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and a "Welcome in!". Many restaurants lack in great let alone good quality customer service for the front of house, however, this is not the case at this restaurant! I ordered the Farmhouse Skillet, Million Dollar Bacon and a Kale Tonic juice for my breakfast. The Farmhouse Skillet is honestly to die for in my opinion! It's the perfect blend of flavors that compliment one another like yin and yang compliment one another! Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! This skillet consists of two eggs on top (prepared any style you would like), seasoned potatoes, pieces of smoked bacon, grilled onions and sun dried tomatoes, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and sliced avocado! The price for this skillet is $11.69. The million dollar bacon was just deliciously mouthwatering to say the least! The bacon is a hardwood smoked flavor which they bake in brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and then lightly drizzle maple syrup on top! YUM. I savored every bite! The syrup and the brown sugar make the initial flavor sweet, however, you also get a slight kick in the back of the throat from the black pepper and cayenne. The price tag on this bad boy is $4.99 and worth EVERY PENNY; trust me. The last item I ordered was the Kale Tonic! I'm not one to typically order a "healthy" drink, but my waitress recommended it so I said why not. To my surprise, I actually really enjoyed it! It complimented my meal very well and was light and refreshing. The juice consists of kale, Fuji apple, cucumber and lemon. I definitely felt like I was channeling my inner white girl every sip haha This drink was $3.99. My overall experience at this location was excellent! My waitress was excited and super passionate about the food they served on their menu. Like I said above, after I placed my order she recommended I try one of their kale tonic fresh juice which goes very well with their skillets. So glad I took her recommendation, because it definitely added to the overall enjoyment of my meal. I am excited to see this location grow over the next year. The only downside to this new location is that it is 5 minutes from my house which means my wife is going to be here ALLLLL THE TIIIIME! This visit started off at 2 stars just because the first person we saw, who we later learned was the manager, didn't exactly have a welcoming demeanor about him. Strange encounter that somewhat soured our brunch. But as far as the food and service Marybeth was very nice and accommodating. Even though multiple silverwares were dirty and we ended up using plastic utensils, the food was pretty good. There were 3 of us and we ordered 2 orders of eggs Benedict and a breakfast sandwich Once food finally arrived- waiter brought 2 of the eggs benedict and said my son's breakfast sandwich would be just one minute. Nope! It took another 15 min for my son's breakfast sandwich to arrive. While waiting for his meal, I proceeded to eat my eggs Benedict which mind you is supposed to consist of a "poached" egg. Well my egg was hard boiled. I showed the waiter my hard boiled egg and he indicated he would replace it. So I set aside that portion and ate the other half. Waiter brings me back JUST the replacement egg. Not the actual other completed half with contents of the Canadian bacon, tomato or bread. Remember I placed aside the hard boiled portion of the meal which by now was cold! Who does that? To add insult to injury, my son's girlfriend egg benedict was also hard boiled. I called over the manager to show him how the waiter responded to our issue and to his credit the manager was very apologetic and said he would take care of my meal. However later when I asked for the check I learned the manager took care of all 3 of our meals and at which point I opted to let the waiter know of our displeasure of having to wait 15 min for my sons meal and for me to have received a hard boiled egg. Which for a breakfast place who specializes in eggs Benedict clearly doesn't know how to make! The waiter opted to make excuses saying it's hard for the kitchen to handle that many tickets for the restaurant and have food come out for one table at once! Lol. I wonder how all the other successful busy restaurants do it then! SMH.
