In my mind, a to-go latte should have just as much care. Zero latte art and I don't think the barista has had proper training on steaming milk. Had the consistency of a machine dispensed version from a gas station. Very little coffee flavor, and the order taker had no idea where the beans were grown. If the beans are the star of the show, it should be common knowledge. read more

This is a small cafe in a strip mall (by Sprouts). We came in on a Monday at 11:20 and they were still pretty busy. The menu isn't huge but offers the breakfast or brunch from 8 am to 2:30. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant, an everything bagel, and a ham & brie panini with a side salad. My son said the croissant was his favorite ever. It was filling as well. My panini was delicious. It was messy but worth the mess. I would order again. We also got a xl chocolate chip cookie on the way out the door and it was amazing. Rendezvous Cafe is a nice little coffee shop in Cumming off of Exit 14 on Highway 400. I've been here a time or two and love the options available for both food and drink. It offers interior seating as well as a few exterior bistro tables. It can get a bit busy at times, and the location does offer rewards which is nice for repeat customers. This place I thought would be amazing with the reviews but I'm genuinely concerned. The system in the cafe is weird everyone is scrunched up I didn't feel comfortable talking because we were so close to the other table. Ambiance is way too crapped if you're claustrophobic you're probably not going to be able to stay here. System is whack because the drinks aren't on the menu you have to GET UP and go up and figure out what drink you want. Then they can only make it one way you can't asked for something cold/hot. Not to mention the floors were nasty, tables not wiped, and in general I hated the experience. The food looked like something you heat up in the microwave. Specially the croissant because it looks like jimmy deans croissants from Walmarts freezer section. Then to top it all off there was a 12-14 INCH HAIR PIECE In our food. I was disgusted. The chai latte tasted like straight up cold milk with some cinnamon on top. I've had tons of chai in my life but by far that one was the worst. I wouldn't come back and I pray that they get everything back in order. I see the business owner replied to my review. I will like to say as a customer if I share a review then I truly believe that things should be fixed, not excuses or "seen footage". If I had Gotten all the way up and went to the counter and said "I just found a 12-14 hair piece in my food" things still would not have changed due to us already being done with our experience and wanting to leave . Now with the cleaning situation there was tons of food under the tables and the tables weren't wiped. No one came to clean at all so the comments on the cleaning was way off for me, everyone was working BEHIND The counter. I also believe with the drinks I am not talking just about the Tiramisu Latte. I originally was not planning on getting the Tiramisu but when I asked for something else hot they said only iced. And no it is not a personal preference of a Chai latte a Chai latte should not taste like cold milk with cinnamon dust. Thank you for taking time to reply to my review. We also did NOT finish our food and the "seen footage" accusations is a bit harsh. As a Yelp Elite member it is important to be 100% REAL with my reviews. I discovered Rendezvous Cafe shortly after I moved to the area over six months ago. I have always interacted with the same ladies, who have always been very helpful and patient. I stopped in again after several months (spring = coffee shop vibes once again!) and was very pleased at the new, clean design inside. From the walls to the stickers on the cup. I'm just happy that beautiful emerald couch is still there! They do have brunch options here til 12, but i love their loafs that they have in their bakery section. I like to get the lemon blueberry loaf (I believe that's what it's called, but it's almost always sold out) with an iced vanilla lavender latte. I tried their strawberry matcha and matcha ruby cookie during my last visit, but unfortunately did not like either. But definitely recommend the coffee and other baked goodies !! read more

They had a variety of spring drinks but I went with an iced honey and cinnamon coffee. They also had an assortment of baked goods and good number of gluten free options too. I got my drink pretty quickly and really liked it! I never had anything cinnamon flavored in coffee and the honey was a nice touch of sweetness. Not sure how in the world I haven't been here before because I am always in and out of this shopping center, but how nice to have a coffee shop just around the corner from me that isn't a Starbucks! Spent a couple of hours in here with my laptop and really enjoyed every aspect of the cafe from the smoothies and pastries to the music - it was exactly the vibe you don't expect in a Cumming shopping center - but also crave. It's small, but they still manage to offer plenty of tables and chairs and have great wifi. The menu consists of pastries and treats baked in-house daily, and a ton of drink options like coffee, tea, and smoothies. Check their website for daily updates on pastry specials. I ordered a lemon blueberry loaf and a green explosion smoothie with avocado, spinach, pineapple, banana, and pineapple juice. I tried to order online on the way and had trouble creating a new account, so I tried to call to place an order and they were busy and asked if I could call back in 15 min. We were already down the street so I decided to walk in and order. I ordered the Micro Greens & Nuts Avocado Toast and added egg (sliced hard-boiled). "Smashed Avocado with Micro greens on Multigrain Toast sprinkled with slice almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, & balsamic glaze drizzle" I love the crunch texture added by the seeds and how the balsamic glaze drizzle was light and not overpowering. Located in Cumming off Exit 14 you'll find this charming breakfast / brunch spot in the strip shopping center of Lakeland Plaza (SW corner). It's a very small space with limited seating so take out is a great option. It is definitely worth a visit. They have a display case with fresh baked goods that seemed so popular we had to take some home. We were very pleased with everything we tried. Prices are inexpensive however the price fits the serving size. You might want to order two items if you're hungry. I recommend adding a pastry and or a Smoothie to your order. Cappuccinos, Lattes and specialty coffees are served as well as a variety of smoothies / protein shakes. To sum it up, everything was beautifully presented and delicious! This is the best Mocha latte in the ATL metro area. Point blank. Period. I live in Roswell and sneak up here as often as I can to grab one. Worth the drive every time. The staff is magnificent too. Always friendly as can be. A great little family small business. My go to is the iced mocha. Strong, smooth and just a touch of sweetness. There is never piles of syrup at the bottom of the cup either which means they take the time to both blend the drink and also not add too much syrup like a chain does. The value is excellent here as well. Other places charge up to a few bucks more. The bakery items are very good too. Plenty of inventive little treats like shaped macaroons, bread loafs etc. Again, I dare anyone to find a better iced Mocha anywhere! read more

Came here after a short drive from the Northside hospital. I ordered a lavender coconut matcha latte. I tasted neither coconut or lavender. Maybe it was overpowered by the matcha. The matcha was also chunky. It was good but unexpected. My order came out in a reasonable amount of time but if I was in a rush of some sort, I don't think this is the kind of place I would expect to churn out orders pretty quickly because the drinks are made with a lot of care. I also had the microgreens avocado toast. It was good! Not too crispy and not too soft where everything falls apart. The balsamic drizzle was a nice sweet addition to an otherwise earthy dish/snack. These two items costed $14. I read about a chapter of my book so it's a kind of setting that you can sort of focus in (lo-fi music playing in the background, patrons are on their laptops). read more

It was so delicious & just a hint of pistachio. Way better than pistachio latte at Starbucks. You can see the lavender flowers in the lavender macaron so you know it's legit here and so good! I came in right at opening time on a weekday to get some work done and ordered a Mocha Frappe. The drink was okay at best and too bitter for my taste. The interior made up for it some, however, and I was able to get some good work done. I stepped out briefly at lunchtime to meet someone during their break and came back afterward to continue working. Not long after, I was told I had to order something again or leave. There were only two other customers in the cafe at the time, so it wasn't busy. Despite this I was told to order again or leave. I was planning to make this a regular weekly spot and try new drinks out per other reviews but service and unwelcoming staff was a big let down. Stopped in after a Doctors appointment for a little bite to eat. Only three types of bagels, was hoping for a Sesame or Poppy Seed but no luck. Bagels are served on a white plate on the bamboo tray. Nice touch, also they allow you to put the spread on the bagel which I prefer because some places they go crazy with the smear of cream cheese. Nice little place plenty of room for people to spread out and enjoy their meal and time here. They also have some books for reading and you can take one and then drop one off.
