Since we were visiting family in Cummings, we stopped by here before going to their house. What we got here was a surprise. One of the few places that just hits the European taste. The desserts that we got were not too sweet. Mango passion fruit, and a choux a la creme, which is just a soft shell and then filled with whipped cream. And the whipped cream was definitely not out of a can, it's just different when it's a fresh cream. It wasn't extremely sweet and just lightly dusted with powdered sugar. If you're trying to find a good place to get desserts, I would definitely recommend this place. The inside is cute with plenty of seating. Amore Mio is tucked in the back of a department store, and I would consider is a hidden gem of Cummings. read more

One of the profiterol that goes on the top was missing the cream filling and both were kind of dry... flavor wise, nothing tasted like passion fruit or mango, it rather tasted more like peach jam/ preserve in a very gelatinous mass instead of creamy mousse. Lunch with girlfriends today - all had a panini type sandwich - very good. But what blew me away were the pastries. I had the pistachio cream filled pastry (not sure of the name...it wasn't the pistachio croissant) - it was one of the best pastries I have ever put in my mouth. Unbelievable - so rich, creamy, the pastry so fresh - like a pillow. So many more of the pastries looked absolutely beautiful and delicious as well. I will be back! Croissants were the highlight of our haul. Buttery, flaky and well filled. We tried the pistachio, Oreo and brûlée caramel pastries. They were all cloyingly sweet but lacked depth flavor. While they're strikingly beautiful there was not even a hint of pistachio flavor; no nutty, salty and sweet complexity just flat sweet gelatinous mousse. Oreo surprisingly had the best texture and flavor. Brûlée caramel was decent but at $8 not worth the cost. Beautiful treats but lacking in flavor and overly sweet. Had the raspberry vanilla cake and the chocolate crossaint. Both were good but the cake eas amazing! Such wonderful texture and layers and not too sweet. Amore Mio is a European pastry shop that opened earlier this month. They offer traditional pastries such as croissants, eclairs, macarons, and tarts. They also serve sandwiches, coffee, and more. I stopped by Sunday afternoon for some treats. I was greeted upon entering. Masks are required, hand sanitizers provided, and social distancing enforced. The space isn't huge, but there's plenty of seating. Each table had a vase with fresh red roses. Nice touch. They close at 3pm on Sundays and I arrived around 2pm. Many of the items were already sold, but I was still able to choose from at least five different items. I ordered the following: Chocolate eclair $3.75 Coffee eclair $3.75 Creme brulee ~$4 Raspberry chocolate delight $4 The pastries were absolutely delightful and not overly sweet. They were a good size and reasonably priced. The only bad thing about Amore Mio is that it's located right next to my gym, Burn Boot Camp. I met with the baker about catering for an event, and almost nothing went according to plan. 1. She up-charged me 20$ on the day of the delivery, without a heads up or a reason. She refused to let me pay with card on the day i placed the order and asked that i pay cash on the pick up day, which i found to be strange but didn't question her. Maybe it was intentional so she could up-charge at the last minute? I'm not sure, but I definitely wonder if she's done this to others. 2. She made the wrong cake filling: we agreed on cherry, she made raspberry. 3. I asked for the cake to have flowers on top, and specifically asked her not to use a mini macaron as decoration, and she used a mini macaron as decoration and there was no flower in sight. The only thing she got right was basically the color of the cake. It amazed me how unprofessional she was. I basically paid 104$ for something i didn't want, and the baker wouldn't even admit that she made a mistake (or several). I'm definitely sticking with Colette's for my family's future holiday celebrations and birthdays. Very disappointing. read more

If you know you know! This place is a hidden little gem that I just found but is all over Focus on Forsyth! About as authentic as it gets when it comes to European style pastries! I tried several selections and my favorite was the crème brûlée. It had an amazing short bread crust and chocolate shavings on top. If you see anything with hazelnut, GET IT! I could also eat any of their croissants daily! Found out they supply those at my favorite coffee shop, Cips, and they serve Cips coffee here. Some of the best croissants I've ever had, and they make several flavors. My wife and I also had paninis, one Cuban, and one roast beef, and based on how good those were, I want to try all of their sandwiches! Make sure you locate this place! Cutest little Euro Bakery right in Cumming on exit 13! As soon as we walked in we were taken through every dessert in the case which made it so hard to choose because they all looked and sounded fantastic! The service here was great and the sweets were delish! I loved my cute little cappuccino. The decor was chic and I loved the fresh cut red roses on the tables as well as the Paris decor. Every time I stop by here, it seems to be closed but when it isn't and you have the money to, definitely stop by! The crem brûlée is fresh and the crust isn't soggy one bit. The chocolate truffle dome is rich and melts in your mouth, and the chocolate and vanilla dome is light and airy. The only problem is that it can be a bit pricey but the quality of the treats here is top notch! read more
