The one I tried wasn't cake, nor was it melt-soft like Krispy. It has a sort of fried chew that, to me, is just what I love! Not sweet either. A nice balance of fried, chew, sweet & the glaze was a nice flavor. I will crave this, which is why I looked them up right away & snapped pics to remind me where to go. It was mid morning so we each sampled two baked goods. After receiving a box with cutlery and napkins we found a table. The food and beverage (her hot tea with honey) came out quickly. I really enjoyed the tea cake, which was a petit four and the lemon meringue bar. My friend also had a tea cake and the carrot cake muffin. We agreed everything was very tasty. The prices ranged from reasonable to slightly high and the quality of the products was excellent. They had a nice overall brunch menu along with coffees, teas and accompaniments for them. This was the BEST decision we could have ever made. It was so soft and rich and custardy and paired perfectly with the vanilla gelato. The gelato was also out of this world. So smooth and soft.
