I spent a good chunk of time here last week and I enjoyed every bit of it. I traveled up from Atlanta to cowork with a colleague and this was the spot that we decided to meet up at. It's in a nice, newly developed area with other restaurants and small shops close by. There's a small parking lot right outside, some street parking, and even more a short walk away. The space itself has a ton of bright light thanks to the giant windows all around. The white interior just amplifies that. There's a lot of seating ranging from small tables to communal tables and even a swanky back library-like room with couches. I had no issues with the internet while I was there and that included me being on video calls, which sometimes suck up a lot of energy. There were also plenty of outlets nearby to keep my laptop charged up. When it comes to what I ordered, I went with an egg and cheese sandwich and an iced oat milk latte. As for my latte, they had some fun seasonal offerings and I went with one that had pear in it. That was a total first for me and I had no idea what to expect. That said it was down right delicious and I would order it again. My sandwich was pretty mediocre if I'm being honest, but I was starving and there weren't many other options. All in all, I had a lovely experience and would return as well as visit their other locations next time I'm in Georgia. read more

Their website says best coffee shop, and I attest to that. Tucked away in Cumming Downtown they have this gem. The food and drinks came out fairly quickly for how crowded it gets. I absolutely loved their matcha drink called the shire. It had the perfect addition of strawberry to it. We also got breakfast sandwich with egg & cheese, it was delicious. The cafe is super cute but super loud. I wouldn't say it's a place that good for working but overall a great place to head drinks and a quick breakfast food item. read more

Decided to check out the new Cumming City Center while visiting over the holidays. I had also heard about Myth & Legend and wanted to try it out. There's street and garage parking available. The interior is beautiful and spacious with lots of natural light. There's plenty of seating and with couch seating in the back. The place was buzzing when my son and I arrived. There was a long line, which is a good sign. More than halfway through waiting, I realized you could order online and pick it up at the counter. Since it was almost my turn, I decided to wait a little bit longer and place my order at the counter. The two staff members behind the counter very friendly. When it comes to coffee shops, especially new ones, I usually stick to my go-to drink, an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder. However, their signature drink, The Storyteller caught my eye. It's espresso, sweetened condensed coconut milk, milk, cinnamon on top with option of house made syrups. I chose hot and asked for oat milk. It was delish! It was sweet, but not too sweet. I really enjoyed it. My son opted for one of their seasonal drinks, the Bah Humbug, which is a caramel and eggnog latte topped with nutmeg. He likes sweet drinks and this seemed to have fit the bill. This place serves great coffee - no questions about it. That said they are soooo soooo sloooowwwww! Instead of picking up the speed and multitasking it's usually chit-chatting with one another. I seriously don't have 15 min to wait for a relatively simple and strength forward order. What a cute coffee shop! I don't frequent the Cumming area but I took a little field trip to join my teammate for the day and I'm so glad that I did. Myth & Legend is located in the Cumming City Center, a beautiful plaza full of retail stores and restaurants. As soon as I entered the area, my eyes were wandering and planning different businesses to check out upon my next visit. There is a parking garage but a number of street parking as well, which is how I lucked up on a spot right across the street from the coffee shop. Myth & Legend is not some tiny little spot, it was way more than I even expected. Beautifully decorated and bright with natural lighting flowing in, it was the perfect first impression. It actually reminded me of a Parisian cafe. There were a number of tables available and there were a number of guests quietly enjoying their coffee and pastries in the heated cafe. Another thing that stood out to me? The art work. They had some amazing art which was obviously custom made as each showcased their logo somewhere within the frame. Loved it! Okay, onto the coffee. Myth & Legend features an extensive drink menu from teas, coffees, frozen options and more. Their seasonal menu caught my eye as I love a good holiday option. Offering flavors like gingerbread, cookie butter and even eggnog, they got my attention right away. For my first coffee, I decided to go with the Bah Humbug which is a caramel + eggnog latte topped with nutmeg. I got a little wild and asked for cookie butter on the rim, for the holidays y'know? Man - what a treat. It was delicious!! I'm still thinking about it as I type this. Beyond the drink menu, Myth & Legend also offers pastries, sandwiches and more. I decided to pair my coffee with a BYO breakfast bagel sandwich that included cream cheese, an egg and sausage. Also delicious! As a few hours went on, I decided to try an iced 'You can't catch me' which is a gingerbread + cranberry latte rimmed with cookie butter - another win. Beyond an amazing experience with my food, drink and the feast of my eyes with the cafe aesthetics, the service was also fantastic. The team was so sweet, helpful and seemed to be loving what they were doing, just great vibes all around. The first thing I saw walking to the front door was the magnificent Christmas tree in the window, nicely decorated for the holidays. The café was very spacious and inviting. There was plenty of seating and a small corner area with lounge chairs, beautiful decor, and the music was at a perfect volume. The baristas were pleasant and patient while I decided what to get. I chose the Headless Horseman (pumpkin + mocha cappuccino), and a banana bread mini loaf. The pumpkin mocha cappuccino (or the Headless Horseman) was fantastic and the mini loaf was moist and sweet, but not too sweet. Overall, the experience was very memorable and I can see myself coming back for another great service. read more

We decided to travel outside of the city to Myth & Legend after seeing an instagram post and it was definitely worth it. Upon walking in we noticed the shop itself was very spacious with plenty of seating all around. We went some time in December so they had their seasonal drinks on the menu. We got a gingerbread cold brew with vanilla cold foam and an eggnog latte which were both carefully made. While I enjoyed my drink (gingerbread) my partner had forgotten that lattes include coffee (duh - he forgets that he doesn't like coffee) and the staff swiftly made him an iced mint matcha latte with cranberry cold foam. The matcha was made to his liking. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and I simply would come back for them, too! *There is also a library nook that sits towards the back of the shop painted with darker colors to create a warmer ambiance. Luckily, there was no one sitting back there at the time and we decided to have a photoshoot there. read more

Went here to get coffee and cake for a friend who was in the hospital nearby. Got the ube latte and the the coconut latte and the blueberry cheesecake. First, the staff there was SO friendly, helpful with recommendations and really knowledgeable about the menu. Which was helpful bc I was having a hard time choosing. The cafe itself is beautiful, lots of natural light, tons of seating and a cute vintage looking lounge area in the back with overstuffed couches and so many cool things to look at. We loved the lattes we got and the cake was to die here. I live about an hour from here but if I am in the area again this will def be my first stop! read more

I came here to take a work call and do some work. Parking was easy in this new shopping center. Once inside, I was greeted with a new, modern space with all sorts of table options, including high tops for 2, and low tops for 2 or 4 or more, if you squeeze them together. The place has high ceilings and is light and airy. I ordered my drink and headed back to the library area, but has a completely different vibe. This was the perfect place to take my call since it was quieter and had that living room feel, mixed with dark hotel lounge feeling. The coffee was great and reasonably priced. After my call, I went out and did work at a high top. There were no plugs where I was at so eventually moved to a different spot. There is a Fire Station museum attached, which has a fire engine and memorabilia that they were still building out when I was there. Kind of random, but a nice extra. This did draw random people not there for the coffee though and you have to walk through the coffee shop to get there. read more

Service was very efficient and Daniel at the front counter had such great energy. Im so glad I stopped here and this is definitely my new spot when I'm in cumming. Definitely recommend! Wanted to spend half a day working from this very cute coffee shop in Cumming City Center, however, the wifi was not working properly and I was told they've been having issues with the network having too many devices connected and not allowing new ones to connect. An employee who also happens to be an IT specialist even tried to render the issue but had no luck. So, I wasn't able to stay more than 10 minutes but was able to enjoy their frozen blended strawberry limeade before leaving. It was so delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day! I've also heard their coffee/espresso is top notch, however, I am not a coffee drinker. Their macarons were also calling my name but I was trying to be good and get my sugar fix from the drink, but I have a feeling I will indulge next time. Their speciality drinks also look amazing and unique with super cute and creative names. I will definitely give this place another chance soon, and hopefully the wifi will be working! read more

This place was absolutely amazing. 2000% a coffee place that is worth the hype. It has the modern, fancy, clean look while still maintaining a casual ambiance. The menu has a wide variety, even a good bit of things for kids. My favorite thing about this coffee house was the extra room located in the back, it had such a cool vibe!!! It was darker and had lots of cool decor. And the drinks were AWESOME!! I had the seasonal drink called, "two roads". It was by far the best drink I have had at a hole in the wall coffee place. I honestly wanted to go back after I finished my coffee haha. The employee that took my order was so so kind and helpful! This coffee shop is in the Cumming City Center, and is very spacious inside! Plenty of space to bring a laptop, sip a coffee, and get some work done or just hang out and chat with friends! The employees were very friendly and welcoming. They have a large drink menu, but the pastry/snack offerings were extremely limited. They only had dried out looking cake or macarons. No muffins, croissants, cookies, etc. in the pastry case when we visited on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered an iced dirty chai and an iced decaf americano. My americano was room temperature, with only a few ice cubes in it, but the flavor was good! I feel like if it had been colder, it would have been perfect. My son described his chai as "good, not great" This place has a fantastic location and tons of great seating so I'm sure it will be successful! But I hope they get more snack options! The first thing you notice when you walk in is the bright atmosphere and the friendly employees! If you ever have a question they are so kind about answering, which is great because I don't actually know too much about different coffees, and each time I meet someone new they ask my name and give me theirs. It's such a special touch; and really something that you miss out on at most places. (Personally, I love getting to know the people at my local places.) Of course none of that would matter if the coffee wasn't good, but luckily it is SUPER delicious. You can tell they put time into their craft as it's consistent, and you can tell the ingredients are top notch. I had a cold brew with cold foam, and they'll flavor it however you want! I asked for a tiny bit of vanilla as I don't like overly sweet coffee, and it was perfect. They also have a water station, and they offered to let me fill up my water bottle and get me some ice (without me even asking!). I pulled out my laptop and studied in the side room which was perfect. I loved that you have options to study in the quiet, or socialize out in the brighter open space. OK, where do I start? 1. Floors were filthy floors Wobbly tables, tried 4 all were Wobbly. No concerned employees about the condition of the dining area. 2. Order bagel egg sandwiches for lunch, out of bagels and cheese. Grocery store across the street. Offered wheat bread and cream cheese as an alternative. 3. Opened food containers on the counter with easy access to the public. Very little concern about food handling. Did not see one person wash there hands, especially handling money and food. 4. None of the employees who all had long hair, male and female had their hair pulled back. Lastly at one point there were 4 people behind the counter, some were eating or drinking behind the counter. I'd really like to live this place but it falls short every time. I got there just before 9:30. It took 8 minutes (no, they were not busy. At all.) to get my 16 oz. Hot chai. Which was lukewarm at best. No. I didn't ask for it to be remade or heated up further. Why? Because how do you get a drink WRONG when you had that much time to make it? When I asked what other food options they had, the cashier told me that the menu would go out in a few minutes. And wouldn't give me an idea of what was on it. Seriously? 2-3 minutes until hour menu is "live" and I can't take a look? Having run and managed many coffee shops throughout my professional life, I see mediocrity has risen to a new level. What I spent was a complete waste of money. Cashier was nice enough. Ambience is nice. Very poor execution over and over again. read more

Seasonal drinks are always good and the interior is great for working, but I have reservations due to all of the posters and merchandise being AI art. It's disappointing to see a local business actively choose to not give back to the community by not simply utilizing artists who could create better designs and higher quality art. I like this place a lot. Friendly associates with a pleasant vibe. They really are consistent with making a Cortado, which is my favorite. I live the vibe in here also. So FRESH AND CLEAN! Great service and great products... atmosphere is open... there's a little side room that is more cozy. Much better choice than the main competitor chain coffee shops. We enjoyed coffee and some of the little cheesecakes. The snickerdoodle cookie I had was delicious. There's also a cool fire truck next door that is connected to the main dining area that my kids liked to investigate. The cozy area has a huge bookshelf with books you can enjoy while sipping. It would make a great study area for college kids prepping for exams. read more

Gave them 4 stars because even though I agree with most of the other 5 star comments there were a couple of things that could be improved. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the coffee. On the constructive criticism side, it took a long time to order and the cinnamon roll thing could definitely be improved. Perhaps the personal attention and welcoming could be combined with quick order taking. Maybe a greeter talking to customers after they order while someone else says hello and rings them up. Not sure what can be done about the pre-packaged cinnamon roll but it was very strange....kind of a granular sugar thing. Maybe find a local bakery to partner with.
