This little cafe has become one of my must-stop places when going to/from Atlanta! This was my second time visiting, with the last visit being a year ago, and I swear the owner looked at me like she'd remembered me from before. Service was quick and friendly! I stopped this time to have my mother try a croffle for the first time ever. We both ordered the Lotus croffle, and I also had a strawberry lemonade. My mom purchased mini pecan cookies to take home. All were delicious! I love that their desserts are just sweet enough without being overly sugary. A perfect laid back cafe with ample seating for studying, quick meetings, or coffee dates.
This was my first visit here the young lady 6/30, was very friendly and explained to me how the croffle is made and how it tastes. I decided on the Crème Brûlée Croffle it was delicious and will definitely return and order that flavor again. I can understand why the Crème Brûlée is the best seller. There's plenty of spacious seating inside, this is an overall place to come study or meet up and talk for a girls afternoon out over matcha or coffee. I also ordered mango matcha and I did not like it very much as it was not sweet at all. The young lady said she could adjust the sweetness. It didn't work for me this time so I'll try it again my next visit and stress that I'd like it sweetened a lot little more than the usual sweetness. UPDATE: Earlier I said I didn't like my Mango Matcha, now I have to change that once I put the straw in my cut and stirred the matcha it was delicious. I didn't realize I shouldn't drink it from the cup without stirring first. I feel so silly now. I changed my four stars to five stars and a newbie like me now will know to stir the matcha first. I received an awards card after ten stamps I believe I get a free item. Sounds fun. Parking is not a problem there's plenty. I can't wait to visit here again.
Super cute and minimalist place with great food and drink options. Cafe flat was a coffee meeting spot for me to catch up Roth and old friend. The volume level was great and we were able to have a great conversation without being interrupted by loud music or ambiance. I decided to try something new and go for a peach tea americano and it was AMAZING. No joke I literally looked up the recipe right after to see if I could make it at home. The flavors of the eta and coffee blended perfectly and I was able to finish it very quickly. The seating is nice and I would consider coming back here to get some work done if it wasn't so far away! They have other unique coffee and tea options so I definitely recommend if you're looking to try something new.
Cute and aesthetic coffee shop with lots of seating! The cashier was kind and patient as we decided on our croffle - so many flavors to choose from! We ended up with the creme brulee croffle, blueberry cream croissant, and einspanner drink. The creme brulee croffle was amazing - thick and tasty custard with a crunchy top that paired well with the croffle. The croffles here are pre-made, so they don't come hot like other spots. We didn't mind for this flavor. The cream croissant on the other hand was a bit dry - wish the croissant was more buttery - the pastry felt papery or leathery in a way. The cream inside was good though. The einspanner was a wildcard pick for us - ended up being a very strong coffee with a layer of whipped cream on top. Super good if you like strong coffees! Also not sweet which is how we like it. Would come back to try more drinks & other croffles!
I tried a hot oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon along with a canelé while my son tried an iced dirty matcha latte from Cafe Flat. Service was fast and friendly. The space is bright, open, and laidback. It's a great place to work or study as they have lots of tables. Cafe Flat offers more than just coffee and tea. They also serve pastries and desserts like croffles, cheesecakes, bingus, and more. They all looked tempting, but I just stuck to my coffee and canelé, which were both wonderful. My son also enjoyed his matcha.
Summary: Great coffee, calm study cafe, just a bitter experience due to the owner. Black Sesame Ice Cream Latte: Yummy!! Would order again in a heartbeat. It's a couple scoops of ice cream with espresso. Pumpkin Spiced Latte: Was good but nothing outstanding. Peanut Butter Cream Einspanner (Iced): Peanut butter cream was good, but once you mix the drink together the peanut flavor is lost. If you like the darker bolder coffee taste, this is a good one to try. Vibe: Music is always upbeat and peaceful, mostly a calm study cafe but some people grab and go. Service: On my first visit I was offered a stamp card. 10 stamps, and your next item is free. The owner is always there and is very welcoming and polite, but it's only for the sake of business. It's not genuine friendliness or care for customers. When I picked up my PSL, I immediately noticed the cup was too light. I ordered a large and there was at least 1.5 inches of space between the fill line and the rim of the cup. Why pay extra for a large if I'm getting served a small? Given that the drink was prepared by the cafe owner herself, I would have been embarrassed to serve a customer such a drink. My other complaint is that I'd visited 3 times in the past two weeks, sat in the cafe for at 3+ hours each time, and was in a rush to attend a important zoom meeting, and planned to order after my meeting was over. 30 mins in, I was actively speaking on the video call when the cafe owner interrupted me to say that I couldn't sit without ordering a drink. So many parts of me want to justify her behavior, maybe she's anxious about the cafe not making enough money - but given that she has seen me before and I was actively speaking - that rubbed me the wrong way. I was beginning to feel comfortable at the cafe but that moment made me hesitant to return. If this hadn't happened, I would have considered this a 5/5 star establishment and found a go-to study spot.
One of my favorite cafes in Duluth! They have a big tea latte selection, which is so helpful (because sometimes a girl just wants a tea and not a coffee, you know?) I've tried a variety of their drinks, and my go-to is the Strawberry Earl Grey latte. It's SO GOOD. Nothing is overly sweet, and the tea flavor really shines. My brother likes the mango matcha and my cousin always goes for the vanilla earl grey latte (coffee) or the pistachio latte. We also enjoy their sandwiches too. Would definitely recommend this place! They have a little punch card, where your 10th drink is free, and the owner is so nice! There's waves of people coming and going, but it's not constantly super packed like other places. It's not the biggest place, but you can find seating, and it's a nice place to get stuff done. I wish I could gatekeep this place, but I also want them to be successful. Go try them out!

This was my first time at Cafe Flat. I wanted a hot drink before I stopped by my grandparents' house and they live right down the street. I came across this shop by looking on Apple Maps, and they had a bunch of good reviews. Upon entering, I was surprised how big the shop is. The vibe is very minimalistic with an emphasis on high quality food and drinks. They had a pretty big menu! Not only do they have a bunch of drink (both coffee and tea) options, which you can get hot or iced, but they have quite a few food options too. They mainly have like pastries and smaller type things, but they do have some bigger sandwiches as well. The drink menu is pretty unique! I got a pistachio latte, which was honestly pretty good. I had some questions about the other drinks on the menu, and the worker (I am assuming the owner) was knowledgeable about it and provided me with further detail about the drinks. I paid about $7 for my latte, which wasn't terrible, but upon getting my cup, it felt like it wasn't filled to the top. It would've been nice for it to be completely full, but I'm not too made about it. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center. They also do have a stamp card, where after every 10 stamps, you get a free drink I believe. I don't normally come to this area too often, but I kept the card anyways. I would come back for sure, if I ever found myself wanting a good coffee.
The flavor of the yuzu croffle was light and good but the croffle itself was kinda stale and hard. It was very difficult to cut to eat. I liked that there were decaf coffee options but the drinks weren't good/ fairly watered down. Could barely taste the coffee. We tried the iced dalgona latte and vanilla latte. The cafe was well lit and the music wasn't too loud. However with the food and drinks being lackluster, we prob won't be coming back.
I was craving some yummy Croffles, and noticed this place had high ratings... So the place is chic, with a minimalist decor...and I liked the overhead music played. Even initially, I was a bit disappointed with a rather skimpy variety of Croffles displayed in their window. For some reason, I expected more varieties...and in a way, a more polished display? I decided to try 2 flavors of their Croffles...Blueberry and Injeolmi flavors...and here's the deal. The flavors were really good, but the textures were way off. Not soft, warm, fresh or anything. Nothing like what I had at TwoHa's, for instance! In fact, these Croffles were somewhat hardened, and it was extremely difficult to eat them with the cheap, plastic fork and knife given. I basically had to eat with my hands. Ultimately, it was very disappointing. Given the high ratings here, I expected these Croffles to be fresh, warm, soft...the whole works. Nope...they almost had a hard, stale texture. Again, nothing like the high quality, warm, soft Croffles I've tried elsewhere. I also tried their Iced Matcha Latte...and well, it was WARM. They didn't put enough ice in the drink. Again, disappointing. I doubt I'll be returning here.
Lots of drinks and croffle options here! Stopped by last Friday to do some remote work with friends. This is a good place to work, study, or catch up with friends. The inside is very spacious, airy, and has minimalist decor. I tried the Iced Pistachio Latte and Iced Mango Matcha Latte. The pistachio latte was good with strong nutty flavor. I also liked the mango matcha but it was a little too sweet.

one of my absolute favorite cafes ever! i almost always get the earl grey milk tea and i'm still not sick of it, the taste is consistently good and the workers are super kind. great spot to yap with friends while sipping some drinks and trying their pastries! i've tried the earl grey and matcha canelé, both are so yummy but i do prefer the earl grey one (impressed with the strong taste). can't wait to go back read more

I got their chestnut latte and a pesto pastry. The chestnut latte was okay, it felt like it was a powder mix, so I kept stirring before drinking it. The pastry was good; it probably could use more pesto to enhance that flavor more. The service was quick and the cashier was very sweet! The interior is spacious and has adequate seating. People studied/worked there too. Parking is a little busy but still doable. read more

I've been meaning to try this place out and I absolutely love the unique croffle options! I got the strawberry fresh cream & yuza cream cheese croffle and they were the perfect sweet! Not overpowering. My favorite was the yuza cream cheese, it reminds me of lemon drop cookies. I also bought some of their macaroons here and they were good, a little more on the sweeter side though. Service was kind and fast. I'll be coming back to try more! read more

What a cute little cafe with great croffles and treats along with plenty of drinks! My friends and I stopped by here in the morning to get breakfast and hangout. We all got three different croffles, and I got the strawberry fresh cream one along with an earl gray latte. They do have plenty of milk options as well which was well appreciated. It took a bit of time to get our food and drinks since there were a few orders ahead of us, but overall I really enjoyed my food and coffee! I've never had a croffle like this one and liked how crispy yet soft it was. The fresh cream had a faint sweetness level and was so airy and light and liked the strawberries on top to complement the dish. I also enjoyed my coffee and liked how there was a faint taste of earl gray in every sip and wasn't overly sweet. The ambiance of the place is quite clean and modern with plenty of seating available to do work or catch up with friends. There's also a giant size parking lot in the front. Overall, a great cafe and can't wait to come back if I'm in the area! read more

Service was exceptional. I ordered the peanut cream latte with grapefruit ade. The latte was perfectly sweet with light peanut undertones. The grapefruit ade was also not overly sweet, refreshing and the sprig of thyme made it WOW! Music is nice, light and cheerful. read more
Cafe flat is an ultra stylish cafe, like you would find in Seoul. They specialize in tasty coffee drinks and many seasonal croffle flavors. Love their uniquely Korean inspired flavors. I tried the Injoelmie Mochie Croffle (soybean powder), and Creme Brulee Croffle. They even had sesame soft serve ice cream when I visited. read more
Food is completely out of this world, a CROFFLE?!! Most innovative dessert I had. The ambiance is also very nice, although busy in the afternoons, it would be a very nice place to study if you have noise-cancelling headsets. Service was quick, I got my order of 4 items + 1 drink under 10 minutes of waiting! Each pastries have its unquestionable uniqueness and their drink menus are MASSIVE! They have coffee and non-coffee options; as well as smoothies or milkshakes for the hot summer heat! 10/10, would come again! If you're nearby, PLEASEEE check this place out, its life changing. read more
On my vacation, I visited this cafe and it was so simple yet gave off a whole lot of South Korea vibe. The owner of the cafe was very kind and gave a heads up that there is a delay in the order and asked if we were okay with it. Letting the customers know ahead of the situation was very professional and informative while we were waiting. We ordered one yuzu cream and yogurt croffle, one strawberry shaved ice and one housemade mocha cake which was all super delicious. read more

I ordered honey bread with ice cream, and asked that the bread not be overcooked. I was assured via phone that it would not be. What I got was burnt and gross. The ice cream they serve has ice chips in it, and is kinda slimy (has definitely been in the freezer for too long). The first time I went it was super yummy, the last two times have been awful. I won't be back. Also their health score is an 83, as of August 2024. Not that great in my opinion. read more

Staff was so sweet and nice. Recommended my friends and I drinks that would cater to what we like. Walking in the cafe it is open space and plenty of room to have big or small gatherings and even get work done. It is a place to stay and enjoy your drinks and food rather than grab a drink to go. read more
My partner and I dropped by Cafe Flat after lunch for the first time. The cashier who greeted us was incredibly sweet! We ordered the Matcha Latte, and it was ready within less than 5 minutes. The drink wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of matcha - very smooth. I would definitely order it again! read more
A friend posted a picture of their croffles on their socials, and I immediately needed to know where this was! I love anything croffle like paired with a coffee/ latte, especially for the right price! First off, their variety of sweet and savory croffles was amazing and I loved every flavor even if I had yet to try them. The inside atmosphere is very chic and almost studio like vibes which I was impressed with, however you could miss this place due to it being in a pretty empty plaza across from Jinya Duluth. The service was fast and the staff are friendly. I'm so glad their is a closer, well priced croffle coffee shop closer to where I live and I will definitely come back to satisfy my cravings and try other croffles! (The coffees are typical at a coffee shop and still good if you want your average coffee, but would definitely recommend their other non-coffee drinks as they sound delicious) read more
Cafe flat is a nice and spacious cafe located in Duluth, just off of Duluth Highway and Meadow Church Rd. It has great space and an abundant amount of tables for anyone needing a study session or if you're with a large group of friends. They have many dessert options ranging from waffles to macaroons and obviously a good variety of coffee choices. They have a great option of pastries that seem very popular and tasty. Opted to go for an Americano and its pretty much up to par with other competitors around the area. I want to try the orange coffee that they have on their coffee menu for my next visit! Aesthetically a very nice cafe with great lights and good music. Abundant amount of parking spaces as well. read more

Great place to work remote at ! The customer service is wonderful - music is a vibe (smooth R&B / Indie) and so many options for coffee and bites. Have you ever enjoyed a croffle (croissant / waffle) well let this be your place to try one. I will be back - oh and the ambience is photo friendly - even the bathroom. read more

Love the croffles they have and the environment is very clean and aesthetically pleasing! I want to come and try all the flavors they have! I tried to injolmi and strawberry crème flavor and they were both really good! I also tried their passionfruit ade and it was the best ade I've tried in so long! Such a cute and aesthetic little cafe with the most delicious desserts and coffee! I love this place so much it's decorated SO cute and the food/drinks are so good! Perfect study or date cafe!! I couldn't recommend it more! read more
