This location was so cute and a little hidden imo. I got the matcha latte and it was really good. I had accidentally ordered the cloud one with espresso the first time and they helped me get the right order after. The service was friendly and the matcha was flavorful and not too sweet. Definitely will be back to chill here cause the space was nice and looked like it had a lot of seating.

Top notch coffee spot in downtown Duluth, this cafe blends thoughtful design with a comfortable atmosphere and while equally artistic to the other location they have a new style all to its own. The entrance gives the feeling of walking into a hidden speakeasy, adding to its charm. The interior features a sleek yet inviting industrial aesthetic, and once inside, the space feels much larger than expected. I love the counter that mirrors the height and feel of an Italian espresso bar, instantly bringing me back to Italy and adding to the experience, which has an artistic mood that feels both intentional and authentic. The coffee is excellent with a well-curated menu. While I am not a huge sweets fan, the croffle was a great choice. Drinks all solid but the Dutch cold brew is a personal favorite, smooth, bold, and expertly crafted to highlight the beans flavor. This location is a fantastic addition to the Alchemist Coffee family, which I hope continues to expand even more. A great addition to the area!

Absolutely amazing coffee, tea, and croffle! What's a croffle? See my picture to find out but it's good! Have been here 3 times so far and love it. Located right below Maple Street Biscuit in Downtown Duluth this location is a welcome addition to a bustling and happening community. Owned by some of the nicest people in the city of Duluth, Sarah and Michael Park have given so much to the city of Duluth and beyond. It's nice to support such an awesome family and all the more awesome since their product is such high quality and delicious! The space is comfortable and well designed. I live a ways off from this location but will be happy to stop by whenever I'm in the area or feeling like some high quality coffee or tea or grapefruit ade and a pastry to pair it with. Parking can be a little daunting but is actually quite simple if and once you are familiar with downtown Duluth. There are a few 15 minutes spots directly in front of the cafe and there are two parking lots within walking distance. I heard on weekends there's additional parking available nearby. 5 solid stars easily and two thumbs up! Thank you to the owners and staff for running a tip top operation. Note: wifi password is "goldenhour"

Passion Fruit Tea and the Alchemist Latter

This is not your typical coffee shop. It's more of an espresso bar that specialized in perfecting the art of coffee brewing. We got to try various types of drink and my favorite is the alchemist latte (iced) while the dutch latte was very smooth, the additional shot of espresso gave it a more bold body. The dutch latte was very smooth and easier to drink. But I believe there is more caffeine content in the dutch latte. The Passion fruit tea may seem very simple but it's one of my favorite to clean my palette so I can enjoy my latte anew every-time. The black tea is very subtle and not strong so there's no bitter aftertaste. We also love the honey croffles that is crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The decoration is definitely a hip place and not your typical morning brunch coffee shop. I cannot wait for their grand opening to try their full menu.

Having been to Alchemist in Alpharetta, and finding out there's one in Duluth, I thought it would be the perfect time to go with a friend to catch up and study. It's located next to Maple Street and on the side of a building (kinda hidden), and right by a parking lot so it's convenient to walk like 50 steps to get there. The inside is kinda dark, and drinks are similarly priced to the one in Alpharetta. I haven't been to the other one in so long, so I can't compare much but their drinks didn't take too long and staff was friendly. They'll either call out your drink or bring it to you! There's enough tables to bring friends and family or even just yourself, and perfect place to get some work done or catch up with a friend. Just be aware that it can get loud at times, but nonetheless I'm happy they have a closer location to me.

Caramel Cloud and Moka Cloud

This place needs more reviews as it is phenomenal!!! I have been here twice and it is crazy good. Tucked away in downtown Duluth it is one of the nicest coffee shops I have been to. It is behind the Maple Biscuit Company. The shop has a nice charm when you walk in and man is it nice and cool in there especially after coming in on a 90 degree day. The interior has really nice lighting and is very pretty imo. Both times the service was always wonderful. They are very helpful and also patient when perusing the menu, because there is a lot to choose from. I usually have my go to classics, but here, I am cool with trying different things. Their coffee is YUMMY!!! It reminds of the coffee in Miami (which quite possibly has the best coffee) so this place definitely measures up. I ordered the caramel cloud which is exactly what you would have expected. The coffee was so chocolaty and smooth and the cold foam on top with caramel was just the perfect sweetness. They have a pastry case and I have seen they make croffles (a mix of croissant and waffle) but have yet to try it (don't worry I will). There is a tiny lot in back that fills up pretty quick but you can also park in the public parking area for downtown Duluth and walk. It isn't very far and it is free parking. If you are ever in downtown Duluth and need a caffeine fix (or even a juice or an herbal tea) PLEASE check them out. Much better than your local Starbucks for sure.

Flat white

The service was impeccable and was brought directly to my table with a smile. The flat white with almond milk was balanced with a hint of sweet without any sweetener added which was simply delicious. Ambiance is cheerful and relaxing within the dark industrial setting. The mellow jazz or classical background music creates a cozy feel. This is a great place to get work done.

One of my favorite cafes in Duluth! They have a big tea latte selection, which is so helpful…read more(because sometimes a girl just wants a tea and not a coffee, you know?) I've tried a variety of their drinks, and my go-to is the Strawberry Earl Grey latte. It's SO GOOD. Nothing is overly sweet, and the tea flavor really shines. My brother likes the mango matcha and my cousin always goes for the vanilla earl grey latte (coffee) or the pistachio latte. We also enjoy their sandwiches too. Would definitely recommend this place! They have a little punch card, where your 10th drink is free, and the owner is so nice! There's waves of people coming and going, but it's not constantly super packed like other places. It's not the biggest place, but you can find seating, and it's a nice place to get stuff done. I wish I could gatekeep this place, but I also want them to be successful. Go try them out!

Summary: Great coffee, calm study cafe, just a bitter experience due to the owner…read more Black Sesame Ice Cream Latte: Yummy!! Would order again in a heartbeat. It's a couple scoops of ice cream with espresso. Pumpkin Spiced Latte: Was good but nothing outstanding. Peanut Butter Cream Einspanner (Iced): Peanut butter cream was good, but once you mix the drink together the peanut flavor is lost. If you like the darker bolder coffee taste, this is a good one to try. Vibe: Music is always upbeat and peaceful, mostly a calm study cafe but some people grab and go. Service: On my first visit I was offered a stamp card. 10 stamps, and your next item is free. The owner is always there and is very welcoming and polite, but it's only for the sake of business. It's not genuine friendliness or care for customers. When I picked up my PSL, I immediately noticed the cup was too light. I ordered a large and there was at least 1.5 inches of space between the fill line and the rim of the cup. Why pay extra for a large if I'm getting served a small? Given that the drink was prepared by the cafe owner herself, I would have been embarrassed to serve a customer such a drink. My other complaint is that I'd visited 3 times in the past two weeks, sat in the cafe for at 3+ hours each time, and was in a rush to attend a important zoom meeting, and planned to order after my meeting was over. 30 mins in, I was actively speaking on the video call when the cafe owner interrupted me to say that I couldn't sit without ordering a drink. So many parts of me want to justify her behavior, maybe she's anxious about the cafe not making enough money - but given that she has seen me before and I was actively speaking - that rubbed me the wrong way. I was beginning to feel comfortable at the cafe but that moment made me hesitant to return. If this hadn't happened, I would have considered this a 5/5 star establishment and found a go-to study spot.

This place is always packed!…read more I can't even remember the first time I visited cafe blue but I remember I purchased an iced americano. The cafe is located in a shopping center with shared parking. I love the name and the aesthetic of this place. The staff is always really kind and patient. You definitely don't always get that kind of treatment at local coffee shops. I have tried their Einspanner and can confirm it's my favorite! The tuna smash (not pictured) was so tasty! I love the sourdough a the flavor profile of the tuna. I ate the entire thing so fast. I definitely recommend. The menu consist of a few items and they have a lot of sweet treat options available. I have my eye on the basque cheesecake! Final Verdict: if you haven't visited, you must try! I feel like the prices are worth it considering the quality that goes into their products. I would recommend looking at the menu ahead of time, because they do get busy.

I was confused about how many cars were in the parking lot 10 AM and the place was actually packed. Must be a good sign. Wanted something for breakfast and a cup of coffee tried to figure out the kiosk to order a cup of coffee, but couldn't find it so I asked person behind the counter. This was the strange thing that a coffee shop does not have coffee. So I ordered a corn latte that was different. It was really really good. For food I ordered a bagel and lox plate. It came out really colorful and decorative. The stuff on top of the bagel was really good but since I'm from New York City, I give the bagel zero stars. If they changed where they sourced the bagels from it would be 10 of 10. Price was steep for what it was but it's the economy. Everything's expensive now.

After mixing, it tasted completely of banana-- no matcha taste or aroma. I did enjoy the fruit tea though, it was refreshing! Lychee popping boba was a good add too. I genuinely had a great time and was looking forward to coming back again. But my recent experience was somewhat disappointing. The cleanliness and upkeep seemed to have declined significantly. The tables and chairs were stained with glue and dried paint, which was pretty off-putting. I understand this is a hands-on workshop space, but basic cleaning really makes a big difference in how comfortable the environment feels. Many of the acrylic paint bottles were completely dried out. I tried to squeeze a couple of bottle and no paint would come out. When I tried using one of the larger pump bottles, when I pressed down, the paint splattered out and got all over my clothes because the nozzle must've been clogged. It was messy and honestly pretty frustrating, especially since acrylic paint is difficult to remove. It seems like the bottles weren't being maintained or checked regularly (dried paint clogging the pumps can cause pressure to build up and "explode" like that), which is something that could easily be prevented with basic upkeep. I still think this place is a very cute concept, I just think they need improvement in maintaining the space and supplies. Clean tables/chairs, fresh paint, and working tools are kind of the bare minimum. I want to support small creative businesses, but this visit felt more stressful than relaxing, which was disappointing compared to my first experience.
